Ok so i got my aa-3,800.1 this is my first system where i will need to upgrade my electrical.. i dont have to much more money i can play with so what will i deff need to power this amp? i will be pushing two 12 DSS Ethos.. and i have a alpine 4 channel for highs... not trying to half ass it but i dont have much doe i can spend.. i have asked a few people but i get differnt answers... so what do u guys think ill deff need?

I am soon to be grabbing a new sub amp and was offered a new taramps 5k for a pretty good price. I have just read several times on the questionable durability/reliability of the taramps name. Is it worth it to spend near to twice the price for the same power? I am seriously torn here... For what it's worth, 2 xcons or ethos will be on the receiving end of whatever amp I choose. Most likely xcon as I already have one.

I was looking for some help on configuring a dreadnought. This is what I have: Pioneer HU with subwoofer out Zed RA Zed Dreadnought 2 - SA12's DVC D-2 (wired for 4 ohms) The RA has a mono single RCA output. I believe I need to run a Y - RCA splitter into the Dreadnought. I want to run the Dreadnought bridged. Beyond that I am unsure of what configuration and how to set the Dreadnought.

First up i bought a decent power acoustic equalizer off amazon and hooked it up but it doesnt work when i turn the head unit from aux back to radio, it has cd/aux rca, sub rca, and front/rear rca's so i have it hooked from my head unit to the amp and back to the equalizer is this right? Second question probably is a stupid one but i bought the nice crescendo 6.5" component set and it came with crossovers, are these needed if i have a equalizer? if so is there a diagram on how to wire the crossovers to the mids and tweeters? thanks in advance

I have read up and down and searched forums to some avail, but not fully. Im hoping you gurus can help to clarify some things. Now, I have xover settings, with f/r hpf, lpf, frequency and slope. Now I understand these all fairly well, but on this, where I have gotten confused is: does the front hpf control highs, and rear hpf control mids? Or is it as it sounds, front does front, rear does rears? Next is, by setting frequency, slope and levels on xover, how much of an affect does it cause within bands of parame…

aight so i will be getting two 12 DSS Ethos in oct.. they are 1,800 watts RMS.. there is two so could i get a 3,000 watt amp for them or will i need to get a 3,500 watt amp?? also i only have about 650$ to spend on a amp which sucks.. any thoughts on what i should do? i kno i will be needing to get a second battery and a better battery for under the hood.. i never really had much of a system.. i only have two 10's now and a Hifonics BE1700.1 for the 10's and a alpine 4 channel for my door spearkers.. this will be my first time upgrading my electrical.. will i need to get a better alternator or can i just rock the 2 better batterys.. my new build will be the two 12 Ethos.…

Just got the new four channel in! Im confused as to how to set four gains when ill be bridging the amp to run my H.a.t. Clarus's into two channels. The gains are all the way down now so they are all equal. Amp sounds great as is but just a tad lite on gain. The amp btw is a Arc audio ks 125.4 mini.

I recently did a install using a audiopipe ap3001d (older 16volt discontinued model) on two 15" kicker l7's in a seald enclosure 1.5cuft. each. The amp was shocking strong. But on to my question , has anyone dealt with the audiopipe apsm 1500 mono block? And if so do you think it would be to much for my two first gen. Dcon 12's in 1.2cuft sealed inclosures? And ps. can a box from sketch up be uploaded on the site? If so how? Thanks for all help.

I've had this unit working in my truck for about a year and a half now no problems and yesterday I get in and it turns on plays fine for a few minutes then the screen goes black and I lose all sound. When I turn on my truck all the buttons will light up and I hear the internal fan turn on, also powers on my amps but still no sound or screen. Hey people. I have a very simple question that i need answered. I have one hcca 15.2 and i have one hcca 25001 amp. I plan on buying another one of each to put in my car but just out of curiosity, both the 15.2 and the 25001 amp have been sitting up unused for quite some time, and i would like to know would that cause any malfunctioning in either of the two? I have a xp2000 in the back and when I bought it I put it in my car and it charged at 13.1 or 14.4 @ 2k rpm. A few days ago when I turned my car on my voltage was at 13.1 like it normally charges at but when I revved the engine it wouldnt charge to 14.4, it slowly then dropped by .1 around per day until I unhooked it because it got to around 12.2. So I checked my connections and grounds and saw no problems. I then looked at the front battery and it was charging at 13.1 and 14.4, but the xp2000 in the back does not charge when its hooked up. So I hooked it up to a charger overnight and it read about 14.4 in the morning and unhooked it, I then went to work and came back…

The post jumps around a bit but I try to provide as much information as possible. The main issue I have is it seems as though my voltage drops more then it should. The alternator charges at 13.3 at idle and only kicks up to around 14.1 when I am going 30-35+mph. I do have a Singer 370 which is being shipped on Friday, not sure if its gonna fit yet but we will see haha. My voltage full tilt usually drops down slowly to 12.2 after about 20seconds of play and sits there, never seen it go under 12.1 which is good but I still think it should be higher. Anyone had any experience with these amps? Im looking for sq amps but it must be able to fit under the seat of my 07 frontier. This amp seems to fit the bill pretty well as far as size and with the class g/h design should be pretty clean sounding. It will be bridged to a pair of HAT CLARUS 6.5 components. Passive for now.

I am in the process of helping a friend choose equipment for his install. The car is a 2005 Chrysler 300M. This will be an active setup with 3.5" highs mounted flat in the dash, and 8" midbasses mounted in the doors. He already has a JVC KWV20BT hu installed. This hu is lacking a bandpass filter and time alignment. Also has limited EQ ability's. I have suggested a stand alone digital sound processor as the owner does not want to purchase a different deck. He is fine with this. What DSP's are currently available that will allow for a active 2-way, has T/A, has a decent EQ, AND the ability of tuning from the drivers seat? Alright guys, I was helping my friend install a system in his HHR that he just got, and he wanted to keep the stock headunit. I don't know if the problem is because of the factory headunit not excepting the line out converter or what. The problem is that once we installed the line out converter to the proper wires the front 6 1/2's stopped working. We tapped the rear speakers for the line out converter. I did not solder the wires I don't think that is the problem though. The thing that is weird to me is that the tweeters still worked, the rear speakers still worked, and the sub and amp worked. I installed a audiopipe 1500 to power a sundown x10 in a ported box. jl audio componants in the front doors jl coaxials in the rear deck running on a jl700/5 the 2012 mustang gt factory hu and lastly the pain in my back is a audiocontrol dq 61. I mounted everything on a wall behind the rear seats just in the trunk. I 2 separate stinger 1/0 for power as well as grounds. My signal is also stinger 9 conductor w/ 2 350amp fuses. the 5th channel on the 700/5 is waiting on jl8w3 mounted in the front doors.
