I know you're not supposed to run more than one REM wire from the single one off of the head unit, but I'm kind of (read: really, really) crunched for time at the moment - it would just be a small component amp and the subwoofer amp.

So I was just about to buy the AudioControl lc2i and I saw that it has "2 speaker-level inputs with 400 watts RMS power handling". I have 2 crescendo bc2000s and going to have 1 crescendo c1100.4. I won't be using them all at full output, but somewhere around 3.2k rms all together. Does that mean it can be hooked up to speakers that are getting up to 400 rms or does it mean that it can only support amps up to 400 rms. I looked at reviews to see if others have used with more power and they were all under 600 rms. I didn't see any other LOCs that support more power. Will the lc2i work? If it is that I can't use this one, are there any other LOCs I can? Thanks. http://www.cr…

I've seen these batteries locally in Houston but can't find much info on them. Looks identical to a kinetic. Cheap rip off? Or just a generic at a lower price?

got a couple of memphis 16-st1000 amps and i was wondering if they can handle a .5 ohm load for burps?? anyone have any knowledge? all info is greatly appreciated. thanks

Well I have been talking about this and other head units on another forum but i want to get peoples opinions on this one. Eclipse CD7200 mk II Would you use this one for the price? If not which one would you go for? What do you think about it? On a scale 1 to 10 what would you rate it? If it could be out done by another head unit what is it (equal or lesser price)? I plan on buying a Hifonics 1606d for a DC lvl 4 18" i was wondering what type of electrical upgrades i would need i dont want to have to upgrade alt because of the placement of it. i would have to remove part of the tie rod assambly and the hearders on my car to remove

ok i have a problem with my voltage. i can't seem to find the problem so i was wonding if anyone could help. I have a 250 amp alt with 2 runs of 0 gauge 3 batteries one is 100ah and the other is 139ah. Plus the blue top under the hood. The amps are a sundown 2500 on 4 12 skars and a sundown 1000 on 2 skar 8s and a old school Rockford 1500 on the highs. But at full tilt I drop to 11.8v and driving 12.2v idk what the problem could be. all grounds are to the frame and i did the big 3 all 0 gauge. all batteries tested fine. If u have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

I just noticed the other day that when I hit the nav. button on my 8120 it just goes to a black screen. The rest of the 8120 seems to be working perfectly.... except for the blacked out nav. screen. I know that the Garmin nav. on the 8120 is hard drive based so I'm wondering if the HD has crashed or died..... I tried resetting the unit but still no luck. Anyone else run across or heard of this issue before? I'm calling Kenwood on Monday but just looking for ideas first.

Okay this is the second one I'm posting of this the update is I replaced the 8ga to 4ga and I'm still getting light dimming so far I replaced the alternator from a 2003 highlander and did the big three so I'm guessing the battery is left to replace or do i have anything else to fix before replacing the battery

Is there any difference between kinetic racing batteries and regular kinectic batteries? I'm looking for a trunk battery for my build and was looking at an HC2000, but I found a better price on the KR2712. Which looks to be the same battery but in a red case. I went to kinectic's site to look up the racing line of batteries. But they aren't listed anymore. Which I'm guessing is why the racing line is cheaper since it looks to be discontinued.

I mean exact wiring for this...i feel like it wasnt done correctly bc we are incorporating the crossovers into the mix. STOCK HU. Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 Crescendo 800.4 Crescendo 1500.1 2 sets of Mezzos. 4 tweeters and 4 6.5's Fi Q D2 Im not sure why, but my guys that helped me out with they system incorporated the crossovers into the system. I thought the 360 could be used instead of crossovers. If someone has some time and would really like to help a fellow car audio fanatic out, how would you wire this setup? I would love to see a diagram drawn out!

so i sent my money to dominick irraggi for a custom hand made alternator, and havent heard back from him since. havent gotten an email, and he will not answer my calls. i have left a message, but when i tried to leave another one i got a message saying his voice mail was full. USPS confirmed that he recieved the money order on the 11th, and that was a full week ago that i have waited and not heard anything from him. can anyone help me out here, i dont wanna start pointing any fingers, but a full week when i havent heard from him and dont have an alternator yet he is holding $500 of mine isnt exactly letting me sleep easy at night. anyone else on this forum dealt with him…

Would 2000 be to much for 2 SA-10's? I was told by Jacob too put them into a 2 cube box, but i dont know if thats too much power.

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions in regard to properly setting the gains for my new SSA Xcon 18. I have a Pioneer AVH P4300DVD head unit with a Rockford T1500.bdCP amplifier, and the Xcon in a custom 6.5 cubes ported box tuned to 33hz. I am using a DMM to set the gains and have read that the amp gains are supposed to be set while all the HU EQ settings are flat (or on 0), the volume on 3/4 the max setting, and a 50hz test tone in the cd player. I am not sure how right that is so I decided to ask. My questions is what is the best way adjust the sub "bass boost" and "output level" settings on the HU? Do I put them on my desired point before adjusting the sub amp gains…

So like the title says, im looking to buy bout 50ft. of 1/0 power wire. Which brand should i go with? Have been looking at stinger hpm, knu kol fleks, kicker, welding cable but not sure what size and if its even good for car audio, and shok. Going to be running approx 3.5k watts of power from it.

I was going to order my d3100 for my saz3500 tomorrow but i see a lot of good talk about the deka 9a31 and the 8a31. Will i come out better by getting two of the dekas over one d3100?

So my knew 220 anp alternator came in I cant fully test it cause Auto Zones tester only goes up to 100 amps but it's working fine as far as I can tell. Here's my problem my 2002 Taurus Idle stop is set around 900 RPM (no dimming out of gear) holding at the 100 mark on Auto Zones meter but when I put my car in gear the RPM drop tp 550 to 600 only giving me an output of 68 amps so if I'm at a stop light I get slight dimming. I did a eye test and left my interior lights on and the get super bright when I get to about 1400 to 1600 (not exactly sure cause the guage isn't that defined) with absolutly no dimming. Ok, so the tittle may be a little confusing. Sorry about that. But what I am trying to get a answer for is to know whether or not, 1 watt, equals 1 watt? For example, lets say one company claims 1000 watts rms @ 1 ohm. And some other company claims the exact same thing. Now if we set these two amps up to a controlled vehicle/setup, why would one seem louder, or just plain oh better than the other? Obviously the main possiblity would be because someone is not providing that 1000 watts, but lets say we testing both amps the exact same way, with sophisticated equipment and techniques, to find out that they are putting out exactly 1000 watts. Then what could be the reason? T…

I'm looking to make some buss bars out of aluminum. The buss bars will span two D3100's ~13" for each positive and ground, I was wondering what size and type of aluminum I should go with. I'm not sure how thick or wide of buss bars should I get? I was considering 1 Inch thick by 2 inches.
