Alright, So I Just ordered a kinetik hc1400 gettin here monday which I am going to be putting up front in my car, and I already have a kinetik hc600 in my back near amp. Well I was thinking I would like to add a huge battery in the back to replace the 600.. I was thinking maybe a hc2400 just to have tons of juice and I figure you can never have too much... But then I was like crap Idk if my stock alt can handle charging batteries of this size ( a hc1400 up front + 2400 in back ) So i wanted to see if anyone could help with all you guys experience with tons of batts and alts. I am looking at an amp for my pioneer premiere ts-c720prs speakers and came across a refurbished usx2080 for $50 plus shipping... It does 80rms at 4 ohms and is made by zed audio... Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these? now i have been running mono amps for a while, and some have 1 speaker output and some have 2.... why??? like my T10001BD had 2, but my swiss audio SDX2000D had one... i dont understand ????

I'm looking into maybe getting an active crossover. I've found Audiocontrol and that seems to be a bit of a fan favorite on here. I was just wondering if anyone else reputable makes them? I can find tons of boss, pyramid, etc but no names that i recognize. (this will be for mids/tweets, sub isn't necessary)

Im about to run 2 SS 12" subs and a 2000 watt amp( what kind undecided i would appreciate suggestions). I wanted to know if i should possible upgrade my alternator or any other kind of problem i might have to ensure the sound. Well, I have all the speakers that are going in my truck, however, I lack the power to get them up and running. I came across a thread over on CA.com that linked me to a memphis amp called the "mch1300". I don't know much about memphis products, but that's beside the point. My question is this, instead of having to buy a lot of amps will this power the following: 2 image dnymaic cx62's @ 2ohm so they should get 115 watts, 2 koda 8's they are 4ohm so they should get 75 watts, and a eclipse ti, it's DVC 4ohm so it should recieve 600 watts. Is this correct? That would mean I would just need to get an amp for my horns and I'd be set. Also the kodas, really won't be get…

So is there any way i could hook up something so it would be like running 2 4 ohm subs at 2 ohms? I have a single 4 ohm sub and i was wondering if you could put something with it to be able to change the resistance.. Like idek what a resistor really is but it kinda sounds about right... This is probably impossible but i wanted to ask before i recone my sub to single 2 ohm for a third of what i bought it for.. Thanks for any help. This post is really just my imagination at work... I have 2 Kinetik HC 2000's in my tahoe which is broken down for the time being. Fuel pump took a dump and its in-tank. not to mention i was just layed off from work.. its going to be sitting for a little while. Do i have anything to worry about, will the battery's be fine? ... im only asking this because im pretty sure ive read about this somewhere else but have nothing solid to go on.. i mean if they go dead i charge em.. right? lol. Just unsure and could use some clarification.

I will be running a little over 1000 watts rms, probably around 1200, will there be the need to get an optima yellow top?

Just curious if anyone on here has any experience running this amp or any of the C2 Audio amps? What were some things you liked or disliked about the amp? I currently have a Crescendo Symphony 1500.1 which will be powering a DSS Ethos 15" when it arrives, but I'm thinking about possibly selling the Crescendo and going with the C2 Audio Recon 1.6.

No higher end, high output alternator manufacturers make a alt to fit my car even trying to retrofit isn't possible. I do have a 220 from powerbastards that utilizes a stock casing and after a month my battery light started coming on. But I think I have some good news. After taking it to a specialist It does 220 like PB says but the voltage regulator went bad but everything else is working fine and he'll replace the regulator and says there shouldn't be a problem anymore in fact the build (constuction) of the alt was good even the ratio of windings (voltage) vs diameter (current/amps) was ideal. Okay, so my problem is that my brothers HU only has one RCA output that is currently running to the amp he had on his subs, well now we are hooking up another 4-channel amp for his 4 6.5's he has in his car now. So i need another 2 RCA outputs somewhere to go to the 4-channel amp. *Can I just get 2 RCA line output converter's and tap one into one of the 6.5's in the rear and one of the 6.5's in the front?? He doesnt want to upgrade his HU right now. Any input is always appreciated. Thanks

I could not find the answer using the search fonction. Sorry. Can I use the Alpine 9886 with the Alpine processor pxa h 701 without getting the "screen" remote( RUX something) ? A friend of mine already has the h u, and he just made a fantastic deal on the processor. He does not know how to run both ! He has the imprint processor but this new one seems way better. If he has to buy the remote, he will do it, but it would be great to just run bost equipment without anything more. Thanks for your help guys !

As some of you may know from other another post I have plans of doing a 150 trunk car this summer. So from past experience I know that I can not run two alts, and I already have a HO alt. I am trying to stay away from extra batts due to my car having weak ass springs in the ass end so I was going to install a MLA module. BUT!! I googled for like 2 hours and I can not find the site or how to buy one? If I am just mentally challenged would someone please post a link and if not dose anybody know of another type of device that would get me similar results.

I have this amp hooked up to four. Infinity kappas 62.11 6 1/2 2ohm coaxial speakers . My speakers do 75watts rms. the amp claims 100 watt rms @ 2ohm per channel . How do I correctly set my front and rear gains, I should ask this is in a different way should I be using a multimeter or by hearing. What would be the correct way, I do have it on HPF vs full range. Also to any replies if multimeter is used what's the correct way, I understand the meter for the most part. Thank you

i want to have a test bench that i can test subs and amps and speakers on maybe even one that i can test how many true rms watts an amps is i have an extra head unit and some speakers i can hook up and a couple amps that need testing i just dont want to pull out my system to test them. how would i go about setting up a test bench? what do i need to set it up if someone has one can you take a video of it and show how you hooked yours up? please and thank you

Has anyone ever done this? I'm going to be making custom door panels and would like to incorporate the HU into the drivers side door. I am looking for a unit that will be compatible with this mounting scheme.

Does anyone know how to figure out the resistance when i wire a dual 1 ohm sub to .5 ohm, and a dual 2 ohm sub to 4 ohms, and then wire those subs together in series?
