Would i need a 4 channel RCA to run 2 amps and 2 subs?

My Memphis 1500 crapped out on me so i'm in need of a new amp. I was looking at either a Clarion DPX11551 or a Hifonics BXi 2610D. Both are going to be run at 2ohms. Any pros or cons on these amps?

i finally made a decision on a sub to go with. im going with a SSA Icon in a ported box, 4cu@33hz and would like some help tuning the amp so i dont tear up another speaker right away. I'm goin to set the gain according to the tutorial on the jl website but need help with the other settings. i already know to leave the bass boost off lol. i mainly need help with the infrasonic filter(infrasonic freq.,"Q",Center freq.) i assume the LP freq should be set at about 80hz correct me if im wrong tho. should the slope be on 12db or 24db, im guessing 24 but could be wrong there too lol. also as far as the lp and hp filters on the head unit do they even have any effect on the amp? t…

what are your guys opions on the JBL GTO 75.4...im thinking about picking it up to run my two mj18 that are 8 ohm each....and this looks like it will do ok for the time being to poush these...thanks

I'm looking at this kit for my 96accord to wire an SAE-1000D in my trunk to an ssa icon. Its the first time I'm doing anything like this, so I am trying to ensure I don't mess anything up. whats up everyone? so heres a question that i guess is kinda noobish. i recently had some problems with my deck, and after trying to remount it and clean the laser i decided its time to upgrade, so i did. i went from a pioneer deh-3800mp to a deh-4000ub i had in my other vehicle. now, from what i gather, the 4000 is a more powerful output. that said, when i plugged everything in it was significantly louder at the same volume (35). my question is, should i readjust the gains on my amp? i've been fiddling with the deck (still trying to fine tune this one 2Q 1Q 1W 2W stuff), and i can significantly reduce the sub volume, but i'm wondering, should i lower the gains on…

I've been searching for a while but can't find what I'm really looking for. I'm looking for a headunit with about the same capabilities as the H701. Currently I have Peerless 8s in my doors (going to seal my doors soon), seas tweeters and 4 inch speakers in sealed kickpanels, and four Sundown audio 8inch subs on the rear deck with a sealed box under them. k, well i went and got a dual 30amp fuse power dist. block. i got questions that need sum answers. 1.) how do u wire up a capaciator with the dist. block? 2) and i was wondering if i need a fuse block as well? since the power dist. block has dual fuses then i thought that i wouldn't need that. 3.)how do u wire up 2 rcas from the deck to 2 amps? the deck only has one set of rcs. but i have 2 y spliters layin around. how would i hook them up? thanks.

Hey guys,I'm purchasing a few things for my 2003 GTI and I was wondering how much of a difference (quality wise) a head unit would be. I was suggested Alpine CDA 9887, but was wondering if it would really improve the sound, or should I just stick with something cheaper, since I am in school and kind of strapped for cash to get a head unit with all that stuff. When you go to knukonceptz.com to order wire and it asks for qty does this mean feet? The wire I'm ordering is $1.75 for 1 qty so I guessing this is the price per foot?

I am using two of these from 2003 or 04. They are the silver heat sink with the blue light up logo. Here is my set up, I have 1 ea. dual 1 ohm woofers wired to 2 ohm on each amp. I installed the 2 15" SSA xcons in the enclosure that Quentin built for me and I have spent most of the afternoon trying to tune this. I honestly have been very dissappointed as my output has been very modest for most of the day, but I switched the phase switch to 180 on one amp and WOW it woke up big time. So, I did the same thing on the other amp and my stuff is banging really hard now. This is more like it. My question is, why is this making such a BIG difference? And, do I risk damaging my xc…

I read the sticky but I wanted to make sure I was correct, I have a alpine type r 10" dual 2 ohm sub and a kenwood KAC-9104D amp which is 500 watts rms @ 4 ohms. So is it; Voltage = sqrt(500 watts x 4 ohms) ?

Ive always had my wires installed for me but Im doing it myself now. Im puting in a Sundown 1500 in a Explorer. What all do I need? 1/0 ga wire, dist blocks, circuit breakers, etc??? I want to use Knu wires so if theres a link to a complete amp kit that would be fine.

k. im pretty sure i didn't set it up 100% right but thats why i wanna check before i get my new subs. i got 2 amps. i got a 500 watt insignia 2 ch. bridgeable amp and a 1000 watt 2 ch. bridgeable koiiler amp. i think its a 4 gauge wire with fuse wired from my battery to my 1 farad cap. then grounded the cap and attached another power wire from the cap to the 500. then i added another power wire from the cap over to the 1000. i split the blue wire from the 500 from the deck to the 1000. then got sum rca's from the output on the 500 over to the input on the 1000. i kno its confusing but im trying to list it as best as possible. its hard to explain. but its alot cleaner se…

I'm looking at getting a headunit to play my ipod and cds. I don't want bluetooth, or anything else like that. Having an aux input could come in handy if I want to plug in my phone (blackberry) and play music off that. I'll be powering my stock speakers in my 96 accord sedan off the headunit, and then will have a sub hooked up to it (SAE-1000D to an SSA Icon 10"). Hello everyone, I am working on a design project for school and i need to know the size of the 1/0 gauge wire, the diameter with the insulation on the outside. or if someone knows where i can find this information that would be great. but the easiest way i thought of finding this info was to post it on here knowing that there are many people with 1/0 gauge wire in there car. so if a couple of you could get me the outside diameter of the wire and what brand the wire is that would be very helpfull. The only table i found on the diameter was from the wire itself, i want it with the outter insulation casing. Thank you all very much

Trying to figure out what size alternator I'm going to need and how many batteries I'll need. I'm figuring at least a 250 amp alt and 2 D3100 powermasters, plus a yellow top under the hood. Will be running a Clif Designs 4800.1lx and probably a Sundown 100.2 or 125.2. Is there a way to calculate what I'll need or is this all a guessing game?

Hey guys, i was thinking about getting a Powermaster D1200 for my system... As of right now... i have a RF p5002 going to a 12" w3. When i have everything cranked up i notice my lights dimming a little bit... Yes i have factory wiring... but also i have a peice of junk battery (not sure exactly what it is but it was the cheapest thing i could find when i bought the car) although the car does have a 110amp alt. (i will be replacing the battery i have right now) My question is this... Will that help out my dimming situation with such a small amount of power being taken from the p5002. Im about to purchase all of my wiring so i can get started building my system, but i want to make sure i buy the right stuff. My system consists of one ss rl-p off of an aq2200d at 4 ohms, polk momo component set, and a kicker zx200.4 running those. (stock electrical). I talked to a guy at knuconcepts and he told me i should get the 0 gauge kit, with a knd-23 distro block that has 2 0 gauge ports, and three 4 guage ports. He said i should run the 0 gauge kit to one 0 gauge port, the run some 1/0 from the other port to the aq2200d. then run some 4g from one of the 4g ports to the kicker. If that made any sense could you tell me if that works? lol

Do they make an LED meter so you can constantly monitor the output voltage of the amp?
