My amp is out for delivery!! Just wondering if the remote that comes with the AQ2200D is remote gain or just a subwoofer level controller. I've heard that remote gain is bad, but the opposite only controls the level up to where the gain is set. Reading back through that, it doesn't really make sense.. Hopefully you guys understand what I'm asking

Well, here is the deal: Ikesound is out of DEI 1100D5's, so when I returned mine because it wouldn't power up, they said that I can have store credit (haha), so I emailed them back and told them I want a refund. I am probably going to go with a pair of the US Amps IS series amps (IS 2200 and IS 4065). I will be splitting up the crossover on my 3 way rainbows to run the midrange and tweeter off of 2 channels and the midbass off of the other 2 channels of my amp. I have 2 long runs of rca's and 4 short pairs for what I previously planned on doing, so that is a factor. hello all been awhile .. i have a question about alts i have 3 alts 2 for system the other powers the van. its a mecury/toyota van. yes mecury /toyota they called it mercury villager but made by toyota. im using chevy small case alts..they charge fine i only use the one wire off of them the sence wire. i dont use the dummy light wire.. now i was told that buy doing this alt.it would not draw power with sence wire connected to audio batterys . ive had many people argue the fact it does not draw power.. ook well this eve i was standing by my van and could here a slight wine.. i opened hood and related it to the alt sound was clearly from alt . second the alt is warm just s…

Well, i dont have a problem but my dad and brother do. They are trying to hook up a new HU and it wont power up i guess. He said that after it not working when wired through the wiring harness, he hooked it up to a battery to see. Still wont power on, but he only hooked up like 3 wires... 12volt accessory, 12volt battery, and illumination. He only had those 3 wires hooked up so he could just test the radio. Do you need to connect all of them to get the radio to go on??

Ok so i'm on my first active setup. I have a set of kicker RS6.5 comps. on a sundown SAX-100.4. When we hooked everthing up and tested it for the first time the tweets were working and the mids weren't. So i started unplugging RCAs, if i move around one set of RCAs then i get mids and highs out of only one side. I can even manage to get both tweets but not the passenger midbass to work. So first i thought maybe either RCAs or Bad input. Well turned out the midbass was grounding out. FIXED. Ok now i can't get bother left and right to work unless i run another set of RCAs from the output side to the input side. see pic..... So now i figure that i have a bad set …

I have a JVC KW-NX7000. I have had it for years and love it. I recently got a Sony Xperia Ion cell phone. My goal is to get things like Netflix on my HU screen for passengers to watch netflix or browse youtube videos on my lunchbreak, etc. The phone has a mini-hdmi output. The HU has an open RCA( audio/video) auxiliary input. So far I can't find a cable that converts it. What is a good solution?

man this post puts a damper on upgrading alternators for me. Anyone know how to get around this PCM stuff other than rewinding/rebuilding.

so is a second stock alt going to be as good as an ho alt?? the town i live in has an auto program at college that i can get a alt from a junk yard for $$22.00 and they well clean up and run through it for me, (im waiting on a call back from them to se if they can recoil it as well) and they have a fabricating shop that for the price of materials well make a mounting bracket also i know that there are alot of car audio specific companys that make batteries, but would 1 everlast maxx 1N under hood(replace stock) and 4 in back(total 5) be just as good as 3 audio batteries? i can get the ELmaxx1N's for 89.99 apeice so like 450.00 for 5 batts?? just woundering

whats up guys and gals....i am installing 2 18" fully loaded btls being pushed by 2 us amps md-3d rated at 2000 dont think power rating for the question matters but oh well..anyway the question i have is how to run the subs on the amps so i can use 1 bass knob from 1 amp and not have to run both...the amps are multilinkable amps just not for sure how to wire...help out thanks alot

I need some advice on my amp and hu settings. I have polk momo 6.5's running off of a zx200.4, bridged to 100.2. I have to turn my hu up to around 58 out of 62 for them to be decently loud, but i want them to be louder at a lower volume so i dont clip. I have the gains all the way off. when i go to set the amp up with my dmm, should i just put the volume at 45 out of 62 because the gain setting tutorial says put the volume about 3/4 the way up? Also, there are two gain settings on my amp. would i set each one up independently? And my final question is when i set up my amp, should i set the hu settings such as the high pass filter before i tune it? thanks for the help!!!

i dont want to second guess myself so im trying to get another opinion on a good estimation of what size fuses i need to get. what im running is a kinetik 1800 in the hood and a kinetik 1800 in the back of tundra (ext. cab with seats taking out) with 2 runs of 0g. i have a 180 amp alt under the hood complete with the big 3 all in 0g. I have two ANL inline holders, one in the wire right after the + terminal on the kinetik in the hood and then one on the wire in between the alt and + terminal on the kinetik under the hood. What size should i get for those two (they should both be the same right)? are there any other places that would be ideal to place an inline fuse. then i…

Well, the price was just too good. I went along and got the Visonik and love how it looks. Old school red colour to it, and its pretty damn big. Looks like my next step will to be getting those Icons. Might take a few guts pictures when I get home after work today, wasnt enough time in the morning for it.

My friend has a 2004 Kicker L7 8. He needs an amp for it. It is DVC 4 ohm. He wants to put around 750-1000 watts on it. He also doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I have tried to find a good amp for that price, but its hard to get full power with that vc configuration.

I had a guy offer me a Kinetik HC600 for $30 today. He said it was in good condition and everything, just trying to get rid of all his old equipment for his new build. Are these things any good, and is this a good price for one? I was planning on getting an extra battery for my trunk soon anyway so this may help.. what do you guys think?

My system is currently running active with a 9886, h100 and is powered by an alpine mrp-f250 [email protected] @4 ohm, my speakers are focal access series components(minus the passive crossovers). I have an Eclipse 3242 that I thought was a good amp, but turns out to have some issues. I bought the eclipse for $75 about a year ago and it's been sitting. It looks pretty beefy internally and has alot of fusing (4x20a) making me wonder if it's underated. It's rated [email protected] 4 ohm. And 55x4 @13.8v @4 ohm. I have a simple quick question. If i wire my new kinetik 2400 in parallel to my stock car battery will i be fine with my 3000 watt amp? some people are saying i must get an isolator and others not. and i have no idea if it will damage anything or not. and no i wont be playing music without the car on
