Would it be easyer running a 2 way active front stage by getting an active capable head unit or crossover/ processer? My amps will probley not have crossovers on them

I just got my system up and running a lil while ago, now I have a problem. I had a Maxxlink in, but the subs were barely moving, though quite loud. I had the input level set correctly, and wired up just as the manual diagrammed. So I decided to take it out and see how it would be with just 2 sets of strapped amps (4 SAZ-3000d's). I only have one set of rcas going back from the hu, so I got some rca splitters so I could get rcas to the other master amp. Now, I'm getting a ringing out of the subs, sounds almost like a 1000hz tone or something. The pitch also increases as I get on the throttle. I installed a fi ssd lastnight. My enclosure is 2 cu ft tuned to 32 hz. At first I set the subsonic filter at about 12 o'clock and I wasn't impressed, the lows were really lacking. I figured since the filter ranges from 15-50 that half way would be 32.5. I turned the filter back to around 10 o'clock and the sub really opened up, I'm very happy with it now. I don't want to harm my new woofer so I'm just curious if I have it set correct. Other info. Hu is an alpine cda 105 (2 volt preouts). Amp gain set a hair over half way. No bass boost and I'd say the lpf is set around 10 o'clock also

ok so i have a 2007 chevy impala with a 270 amp alt a yellow top up front 2 hc2400 kinetiks in the back as well as a hc3800 kinetik in the back as far as batteries so you all know all i am running is a powerbass 3000xa to my powerbass 3xl 12s 2 of them and a phoenix gold ti 500.4 old school amp to my mids and when i turn it up my headlights dim and i dont know why any help would be nice guys thanks.

About week ago while my truck was running and my music was playing my girlfriend opened my passenger door and my speakers started to hum. I seen the same problem with my friends amp "Foxmoto" and tried alot of things like changing my wiring, RCA's and my grounds about 5 or 6 times now and nothing seems to work. I have checked all the electrical and the readings are all normal. Any suggestions?

when someone says there amp is 80% efficient at 2600 watts what exactly does that mean electrical system wise?

whats the difference between the kolossus fleks kable vs kca kable, installed on a system of atleast 2000 watts rms, wit stock alt and bat, i know that you see a dif when running high power, but with low power? would the kca kable do a good job for the Big 3 just wanna know so i can order the kca kable, dont have enough for the kolossus fleks thank you

alright, I have 4 guage wiring right now, not installed. and there is some 1/0 on here I was considering buying, but if I dont need it then why spend more money. I am going to do the big 3 in 4 gauge, there will be a run of probably 8+ feet to a D block under my seat where a 4ch amp will sit. it will enter a D block, and leave as 8 gauge to the 2ch. another run of 4 will leave the D block and make a trip of about 6+ feet to the sub amp behind the rear seat. I am going to set the gain on the sub amp at 800 watts, and not sure whats happening with the front stage, but worst case scenario - rear channels will be 100x2 and fronts 75x2. so Ill be pushing 1150 watts at the mos…

Alright guys i finally got my FI Dual 1 ohm 12 Bl today and went to installing the sub. As I turned on my deck i received sound from the speakers but no sound came from the subwoofer. 1. I checked the amp (Alpine MRP-1000) Amp light turns on. 2. I checked the rCA'S even switched the RCA'S between both amps no sound from the subwoofer. 3. Im currently checking out amplifiers to be used on an SQ setup in a sedan. Currently looking for good sounding amplifiers that have tremendous flexibilities on its crossover network. As of now all I have seen perfect would be from brand names such as DLS namely the ultimates and Audison namely the LRx. Are these the only options available with those requirements? i find it hard to look for amps with the same crossover functionality like those 2 that can do an active setup. Any other recomendations? I got a directed d2400 amp hooked up to a JL 13w7. Theres a red and a green light that are both on. The red light has always been on as far as i can remember. The amp keeps blowing fuses like crazy. I can listen to music like half way or so and its fine but when i bang it it will just shut off and pop a fuse. I got 4g wire. I'm not sure why it keeps blowing fuses. I've been through like 7 fuses in a few days. I drive an 01 pt cruiser with no capacitor. Any help will be appreciated, thanks. I tossed in a bid $5 higher than the current high bid and was the high bidder. I figured for sure someone would have come in and outbid me fast on it, but nope, I ended up winning it. For some reason the fuse on my sundown 125.2 amplifier keeps popping. I do not even get to turn the car on before they pop. Once I go to insert one fuse it pops directly on contact. Can this be because all 3 fuses have to be connected without power going to them (i know that sounds stupid because of the whole current draw thing but I though I would just throw it out there). The fuse connected 18" away from the amp does not pop but the one connected to the 125.2 does. This leads me to believe that the problem lies somewhere else down the line.
