on my highs amp, im running the power wire as 8 gauge and the ground wire as 4 gauge(i was told this was ok by a friend and professional installer). im not doubting his credibility, i just wanted to know what are the advantages and disadvantages if there are any to wiring your amps this way

Well, the price was just too good. I went along and got the Visonik and love how it looks. Old school red colour to it, and its pretty damn big. Looks like my next step will to be getting those Icons. Might take a few guts pictures when I get home after work today, wasnt enough time in the morning for it.

Well I have been looking around a lot for different decks and wondering which ones are the best for what I am willing to pay. I would like one of those that have a touch screen and actually come out of the dash, but it is not necessity. The more reviews I read on them any of them under 1000$ are cheap and break often. My budget for one of these seems to be no more than 500$. I would like blue tooth for my cell phone, my cars computer has the ability to see what bands /songs are playing on fm radio (no idea what its called), and have the capability of iPod usage (I have an iPod touch). im getting 4 cvr 12s i was planing on getting the aq1200 but now my friend suggested getting 2 zx750.1s i was want to see your guys opinions on what to do aq1200 is 249 shipped and 1 750.1 is 230 shipped the only thing i dont like about the zx is the low pass says 50-200hz so will it not hit the low cause if it wont i dont want it

im having a little problem with my amp. right now i have a sundown saz-2000d hooked up to two 18" dc xl's at .5 ohms until i can afford a better amp and get more batteries to support the extra power. but so far the amp is doing alright except at times the amp will go into protect only when i turn it up. it doesnt happen all the time and whenever it happens its random, meaning it sometimes will go into protect the moment the bass hits when turned up or sometimes after a whole song has played through full tilt. right now my electrical is a 250 amp alt with the big 3 done in 1/0 gauge wire and an xs power d3400 under the hood with a d3100d in the back all with 1/0 gauge wire…

I am getting some money built up to get some SSD's and I want to push them just right. Since I have no experience with Fi Car Audio, I was wondering what would be the best choice of an amp for these subs. Money is almost not an issue with me. But not a rediculously priced amp. Sup guys, I am looking for a 2 ohm stable mono amp. I am looking for either a PG Tantrum 1200.1 or PG RSD 1200.1 but they are either hard to find, or too expensive. You guys have any specific brand/models in mind? My budget is $350 new or used.

Ok so i just bought the 3000 and it requires at least a 300 amp fuse. my question is where do i put it, do i put it right before the amp like i did with the battery fuse is not supposed to be no further than like 12 inches. i dont want to sound stupid but all the amps ive ever owned like a RF T10001 and hifonics and us merlin amps have always had built in fuses.

Does it matter to have multiple runs from alt to batt in the big 3 since its a short run when having multiple runs from front to back?

For the sake of knowing, can I run four mids and two tweets off of a four channel amp, or is that just a retarded question to ask? Flaming appreciated. If you had a four channel and could not do that, would you replace the four door speakers, or would you replace the front door speakers and add some tweeters to your dash?

I have a XS Power as a starting battery, 2 runs of 0gauge to my rear batt which is a Deka. I'm wanting to add another deka in the rear and wanted to know if I need to do 2 runs of wire to connect the rear batts together or will 1 run suffice. Thanks

Going to use it to power an RE audio 15" SE-X subwoofer. wondering did I make a mistake with this amp? Or are people saying good things about them still? For now, the sub will be seeing 2 cubic feet sealed, as I am currently in a budget crunch and don't want to shell the cash to build a different enclosure (this is also the reason for the amp choice, was price point).

All of these do the basic features I need such as satellite radio and Ipod. I do not car anything about the area serve in the Eclipse. I am more concerned with which one would give me the best sound quality performance and have the best build quality.

was connecting my UV neon , with the cig lighter in my car , suddenly it smoked up , n smelled like burned plastic, suddenly it went off, and when i touched it it was very hot... any idea , why did that happen ?? pluse the neon wasnt underbody or anything , it was inside the cabin, n no water or any liquid can reach it .. thnx for any helpful ideas

As the title states, I need to get my hands on a decent but not overly expensive amp that can do 1000WRMS @ a 2 ohm load. I have a older Fosgate 1000.1BD which would work real good im sure since it makes its power right at 2 ohms but its a little screwy and im not going to waste my patience on that pos lol. The Audiopipe 15001D caught my eye even thought it makes its power @ 1 ohm its not far off with 950w @ 2 ohms. Anything else out there I should look into? more is always better but the vehicle has a stock electrical system so running this D1 Sub at 0.5 isnt an option at this point lol

I surveyed all the quality amps thats in my $, to run my focal 165v1 and havent decide for the subs maybe a single RF 12" P1 or 12" Kicker comp both in 1.25cu.in sealed box atomic 50.4 2001 lightning bolt 300.4 zenon 80.4 formula x 1600 4ch amp forgot the specs or should i get focal solution 25 A1 will it give better sound quality?? currentlu using a very old amp infedility 800.4 pure class A, if i change to any of these amplifiers will it dramatically improve my SQ? Make it louder and cleaner

I got a saz-2000d pushing a dd9515g at 1ohm. I was wondering if a kinetik 1400 upfront and a kinetik 2000 in the rear would be enough to help run the system. Big 3 has been done with 1/0, I have 1 run 1/0 front to back, grounds done with 1/0 and a stock alt 90amps. Any recommendations will be taken in consideration.

Hey guys, I just bought my 2 Dcon 12s and I'm looking for a decent amp for my mids and highs. It'd be nice if it were right around $100.
