I'm thinking about doing a double din conversion on my 02 Silverado and was looking at the new soundstream/ power acoustik ingenix series double din. Do yall think that it would be a decent head unit without spending too much? Or would it be worth doing the conversion for?

Ok, heres the deal. I have my Orion 4004 underneath my 2500D and it gets hot. How hot? Very hot. Hot enough to burn your hand. Hot enough to send it into protection after listening to it for 30 minutes. The components are bridged on it at 4 ohms. Many people have told me that it shouldn't be getting this hot. I think tomorrow I'm going to rewire it to only use 2 channels which will suck as far as power goes. I may also try to throw my planet audio vx3002 on it and see if it does the same thing. I have heard some things about orions not liking high input voltage but the gains are set about halfway. One other thing I am having problems with is at higher volumes (30/40) my …

Made a video to show everyone whats its doing. The amp has been hooked up and running fine for a couple weeks now. Out of no where the amp starts cutting in and out today. When it does, it goes into protect mode. I checked every wire from the battery back and all are good. I even pulled the headunit and checked all connections there too. So here is what happens: Amp cutting in and out while I was running errands today. So I turned the radio off until I go home. When I got home I pulled out all my tools and DMM and checked everything. Right now I'm running 4g cable from battery to my amp. I'm getting ready to do the big 3 with 1/0 cable, but my amp terminals are only 4/0.. is there some sort of adapter that I can use to be able to run the 1/0 into this amp? I need about 4 of these.. 2 for in line fuse (only 4/0 as well), 1 for 12v on amp, and 1 for ground from amp. I'm getting rid of my cap after this upgrade so no need for adapters on it.

I am in need of help. I have the sundown 3k and it has been working without any problems for a while now. I went to bump today and there was nothing so when I opened up the back it was in protect with the slight blue of the power light being on. I didnt do anything out of the ordinary and when I shut it off last it was working perfect. I took the backing off and there doesnt look like anything wrong but yet again I dont know nothing so it could be blown for all I know. I have a Kenwood KDC X996 and it gets super hot after about 10 minutes or more of playing at volume 25 or 26 out of like 35 like cook an egg hot. I wired it using just tape an made sure it's connected good. The ground is connected to factory wire..Could it be the ground, RCA's?? ..no aftermarket amp and using stock speakers

So before i scurry up the money to buy a sax125.2, i would like to still be able to play my boustin acoustic pro60se 6.5's. digging through the garage i found one of those old school alpine 3522s. i've been looking through the internet and need some clarification. Does the epicenter help increase you spl or does it just act like a bass boost where it will just cause the amp to clip. Would it be a good idea to buy one if I mainly use an ipod?

well i was driving all of a sudden the bass stopped i looked back to see all 4 subs "sucked" in so i shut down the power. (switched) remote The amp stayed on with subs still sucked in so i ripped out the speaker leads and the subs released, i then disconnected all power after i let the amp cool down reconnected power and tested with a dmm. results show 0 ac voltage and so i tried dc and got -93 volts wtf! any thoughts as to whats going on as the protection hasn't even tripped yet the fan doesn't fully engage now either. and there is definitely power coming from speaker terminals as it arced when testing(high power).

so i have another question ok here it go's. so im gonna be running 2 3000Ds to 2 Fi Btls would it be better to strap the amps together or run each amp unstraped 1 amp to each speaker sepretly?

I drive a small car with a 70amp alt and a regular battery up front and with a kicker zx750 and a old sony 50x4 my lights dimmed. I currently am running like 100x2 for my subs so its not dimming but I am looking at 1200-1500rms for bl 15 most likely. I am wondering if putting a kinetik in the trunk is enough or if my alt won't even be able to keep up.

I have a Arc Audio SE-2150se, and I have it in mono mode, running at 2 ohms to my fully loaded, D1 18'' fi btl. Everything works fine, but I wanted to turn it up this past weekend to show of to my friends, so when I turn up the amp, from 1/4, to 3/4, it sounded much louder. But when I turn it up, the protect mode light will flicker red, just for when the bass drop, now I know this can't be good. It goes back green, but when ever the bass drops, a big one, it will just flicker red for that one second. Can any body tell me why this is, and is it safe to play it that loud? I'm working my Audioque 4x90 to death. I need a big 2 channel to temporarily run my 2 SA-12's. The only thing I come across that really catches my interest are Rockford's. The New P500-2, older P550.2 and T3002 are serious dopeness. I'm not worried about a subsonic because they're sealed for the time being. I don't mind not being able to give them 750-800 per but I do want to give them atleast 250 each. I was looking at the Sundown 125.2 but I don't know just how much it does at 4ohm bridged. Oh and I'm not worried about the money I'm spending on this amp and spent on the sealed box cuz they'll both go into my gf's car when she gets it. When I do get a mono it'll be somew…

I have a JBL BP1200.1 and a JL 300/4 I recently disconnected/reconnected my battery and now both amps are refusing to power on. I checked with a multi meter that they ARE getting power but not even the lights are coming on. The JBL has 3 external fuses, all in tact, and the JL does not have any external fuses. What's the next step? Do I have to open these things up to inspect any internal fuses that may exist?

how much is it underrated bridged, and is this 2 ohm stable bridged?

First of all, who all has had any experience with these amps? They are stable @ 2ohms for about 1200w. Just curious if they might be able to handle running @1.34ohms. I have a 200amp alt, big 3, and 2 red tops for an electrical system. Thx for the help.
