Alright, I need to go 4-way active with 2 sets bandpassed... I thought my only option was to run a crossover, I didn't realize the SX Kicker amps are bandpassable on every channel? So I can run 2 SX900.4 with the remote instead?!?! Please help! Thank you! I just got it in the mail today and I want to intall in my 07 Suburban. Anyone here who has this install on they're tahoe/suburban, where did you mout these unit at? Did you mout it on the firewall, or did you mout it near the fuse box? Is there an easy accessory wire available under the hood that I could use to turn the isolator on/off? Also is there anything else I have to do special with this isolator since this is a newer truck? From the directions it looks like I'll go from the alterntor to the one of the isolator's hot lead. Then from the 2nd isolator hot lead to a fuse/relay switch, which will then go to the second battery. Does that sound about right? Then there a…

Im installing this unit in a 2001 tahoe. Im having trouble with it. I bought an install kit, i think the # is 99-3002. But i think it might need a mounting sleeve for it. Has anyone had any experience installing Premier headunits, im not sure exactly what i need?

Guess what new toy is replacing my Eclipse 8443...................................................... an Eclipse 8454!!! And it only cost me 214$ after tax!!!!! Its was such a steal. From the dealer and everything! I took advantage of a chain getting rid of Eclipse and asked if they had any more HU's available. He was like yeah I got a 8454 that is open box used in a window display(not an actual one where people touched it) and was like i can sell it for 200$. I was like, here's my card!

I've decided to go ahead and keep my Dcon, but now I need a new amp. ok, let's start with the stupid question, are 0 gauge & 1/0 gauge cable the same or are they diff & some people just don't realize it? I see people advertise 0 gauge power cable but the pic has 1/0 clearly stamped on cable. 2nd, I will be using 1/0 with an inline 300a fuse approx 4" from batt. It will go into a non fused dist block to 3 amps.(2g out, & 4g x 2 out) Do I need to to refuse between the block & the amps or does the inline protect all wiring past that point? duhhh, found answer to 3rd question! So my amp keeps cutting off the power to my subs. It mainly occurs when I try to get my subs louder. It didn't do this as often a month ago. I think it was after a day of delivering pizza with it bumpin all day, amp got hot and my fuses blew, I believe ever since then it's been acting like a wimp. I'm wondering a few things I have stock electrical system, would the amp protect itself because its supply is inadequate? my subs run 300rms my amp runs 900rms, did I ruin my subs which is causing my amp to protect itself? (that would be awesome, been tryin to swap them out but gotta hurt em first) whatever it is, it keeps randomly protecting itself and when I turn my HU off…

Here's my old school Alpine MRV-F352. I used this for about 2.5 years or so and one day the 5th channel when out. The other four-channels still work fine. I've sent a few pics of the damage. Could some one tell me what I should do with this amp. I don't really need it anymore, but I don't think many people would want a 5 channel amp that only has 4 channels that work. The damaged part is in the upper right hand corner. You can see the burn marks just under the model number. i finally hooked up my system today, but i need to set up my aq2200d properly. i know how to set the gain with a dmm, but i couldn't turn the gain up high enough to reach the voltage i got.(54.41) Also what should i set the ssf/lpf to. The dial for lpf is only 20-200 or something like that, nothing in between, so were should i set it approxiamately? same with the ssf. My substage consists of a ss Rl-p 18 in 5 cubic foot box tuned to 27 hz. thanks!

Can you ever have to much battery? I can fit a powermaster d3100 up front and I am also getting a 200 amp alt from excessive. My system only consists of a alpine mrd1005d mono amp and the sundown 100.4. How do these batteries compare to kinetik?

I have a JBL BP1200.1 and a JL 300/4 I recently disconnected/reconnected my battery and now both amps are refusing to power on. I checked with a multi meter that they ARE getting power but not even the lights are coming on. The JBL has 3 external fuses, all in tact, and the JL does not have any external fuses. What's the next step? Do I have to open these things up to inspect any internal fuses that may exist?

My current car is running off the stock 80 amp alternator. I am planning on soon putting 1200 watts RMS through the system. How will I know if I need an extra battery, or new alternator, or what? Thanks.

I'm looking to get a new head unit for my car and I'd really like something with all of those features. The specific model I'm interested in right now is the AVIC-F90BT by Pioneer. If you have a two channel amp and only use 1 channel for now, would all of the amps power from both channels go through that one channel being used or would it stay the same as what it is supposed to put out per channel?

Today is not a good day. i got my remote gain yesterday i installed it today.. also The plan was to finally have my subs back. i got my DC's back from rusty. and was happy to slap once again... i opened the box and one was broken:( i called rusty and he is so nice... but that's another story. i was hooking up one of the dcs to see if it works and i heard a hum it then everything turn off.. not the car but my amps and the music.... so i check the fuse in the front and its blown. i replace it and then my rf250.2 turns on. but not the merlin?? i took out the merlin and seen the fuses are blown.. so i replace them.... and then when i hooked it up again.. i heard the hum again…

Just thinking about the future here and expanding my system. I was looking at the audiopipe 1500's and the 3k's. From what I've read the 3k's are just 2 1500's in one case. So my question is: Would it be better to just get the 1 3k or the 2 1500's. Is it more efficient to run the one bigger amp or is it just a wash since its really the 2 smaller amps in one. Or does it really matter? And in case its needed. These will be pushing 2 Fi Q 15's.
