I am looking for the screws that some amplifiers use to screw down wires into the amp channels and power/ground/remote etc. You have to use an allen wrench to tighten/loosen them. I do not know what they are called or where I can get them. I need some because I have 4 missing from my amp. 2 for a channel on the amp and 1 for the power and 1 for the ground. Im sure I can get them somewhere local but I'd like to order in bulk off the internet. So if you know the name of them I would appreciate it if you would share your ungodly wisdom upon me. Thanks in advance ~MadroX

1. I ordered the Us amps merlin md1, and it says on their site it has 4 gauge awg terminals, but i also ordered the 1/0 gauge from knu, so my question is will it still fit/work? Or can you use any size wire for any amp? 2. Also, can someone link me to where you can buy the steve meade custom woofer from AA, or tell me if it's any good? 3. LASTLY lol: would you recommend a single fi bl 12 or 15 for mainly rap and hip hop? Thanks.

first of all im sorry if i missed the forum, mod please move it if i did second..ok here goes:( -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ok, pls take the time to read this. i have developed a hissing sound on my front speakers lately. i say lately because when i installed the amp it wasn't there..its not much, on the majority of the songs i cant hear it, but on some its annoying. the only thing i changed is up the gain on my front amp speakers, but not enough to clip. now it doesn't matter where the gains are set the hiss increases with the hu's volume. i've had engine whine problems before and it drove me insane and this isn't it, …

I'm seein if i can save money but if i cant oh well.... This is for 2 AQ2200ds(200A per) and a sundown 100.4(90A rated about 65A used) Here are choices - Kinetik (i might go with powermaster but prices are bout the same so this is just the sake of kinetik) setup 1- 1 HC2400 (128aH) 2 HC800s (72aH total) Price - $632 setup 2- 3 HC1400s (180aH total) Price - $695 setup 3- 1 HC2400 (128aH) 2 HC1400s (120aH total) Price - $799 Kinetik has told me that their HC800 will give more impact than their batts above that model number meaning quicker discharge, like a cap. A while back, i emailed them requesting their suggestion for a 3,000w setup but obviously i've gone bigger, heh…

Ok, I hear a lot of people saying that it is a good thing to run HO alts. and deep cycles together. I have also heard that it is a big no-no because a HO alt. will charge it quickly and they are supposed to be charged slowly...hence shortening the life of your deep cycle. Anyone have some input??

I just ordered 2 d3100s for the back of my suv. I have 2 runs of 1/0 running from the front battery (d6500) to the back. I am running 4 sundown 1500s, a sundown 50.4, and a sundown 125.2. What would be the best way to wire all of this? This is what I had in mind: Each of the d3100s would get its own run of 1/0 gauge directed from the front battery. I would run 2 of the 1500s to 1 d3100 and another 2 to the other d3100. Then I would hook up the 50.4 to 1 d3100 and the 125.2 to the other d3100. Does this sound like the best possible method?

ok well in the mini cooper, the back windows are tinted with 5%, plus will be covered completely anyways, so NO sun at ALL will be coming in the back hatch area where the amps are. they are those MTX TA amps, they have that "xtant" cooling thing or whatever, where it sucks air in the front, and it blows out the sides or something like that. well, since its gonna be walled off, no a/c will be in the rear...i basically wanna throw a few fans in the back that come on with the headunit just to have airflow back there....and i dont mean a couple little PC fans...any ideas? something that wont draw hardly any amperage either.

I have been debating on how to ground multiple runs of 1/0 for my upcoming install. So I figure weld some 5/16 bolts to a length of steel channel bar, then weld that to the body of the car. this would give multiple point fors grounding and I wouldn't have to rely on screwing ring terminals to the sheet metal and risking it coming loose.

hi, i am thinking about getting a jl audio xd600/6 and going 2 way active using my 9887 for the processing. and i plan on using channels 1 and 2 for the tweeters. and 3 and 4 bridged for 1 midbass and channels 5 and 6 for the other midbass. now i am wondering by doing that. will i lose some features such as time alignment? or should it be ok as long as i have the rca's matched up right, thank you. and also i plan on doing the 2 way active this way with that amp because it is going in a truck so space is limited and this is only option that i can think of that can give me the power i want and still keep me within budget. thank you.

ok, me and another person on RoE are having an argument on using a y cable on rca. he thinks that using a y cable is not going to do anything to the signal or anything and it is going to be the same as if there where no y cable. while i think and have found on other places online that say that using a y cable can weaken the signal and basic under standing of electricity does back that up. and that is while the voltage is the same when spliting but the current that is carrying the signal is cut in half. so who is correct? and i would post a link to the discussion but RoE has the forum set up so you can't.

Is there any way to wire my iPod to my factory deck? It doesn't have an aux input, and I don't want to run it off a radio frequency due to shitty SQ. I plan on running an MTX re-q sound processor to run my subwoofer/amp, but otherwise I will have a stock 2003 Toyota Camry system. *Edit* Just read up on the MTX re-Q5, looks like it has an aux input...would this work for me? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_10834_MTX+Audio+reQ-5+-re-Q+%3Csup%3E5%3C-sup%3E-.html Any ideas would be appreciated, i'm stumped here Thanks!

I am looking for a fuse holder that will hold 2 ANL fuses that has one 1/0 in and one 1/0 out. Do they exist? or am I stuck? I am using the Stinger 3/0 oval wire to the battery bank in the back, I just dont think a single 300 amp will be enough. Thanks

when you set your gain with a dmm it says take the amps rms and multiply it by the impedance of the sub. so say you have a 2 ohm dvc sub and you wire it down to a 1 ohm load. do you take 1 ohm or 2 ohms and multiply it by your amps rms then sqrt it?

I just got my 2500 and am wondering if my planned battery expansion will be enough to really get this amp going. This is my 1st experience with sundown product so I would like to know what other owners have done. As far as electrical goes I've got a 220 amp alt., big three, and an hc2400 along with a standard battery. I'm looking to change batteries to 2 xs3400's piggybacked with a xs680 with each one. Two runs of 0 awg. Will be running a yellow top upfront. That maxes out the space I've got to use. Will this be enough to power the amp up to be able to get enough power to compete? Is there a better configuration I could run? All advice appreciated! Thanks

Did a small build in my daily driver and have no dimming of tail/dash lights at normal listening levels. I occasionally listen to it moderately loud when Im in the mood and when the double bass drums hit heavy or the bass guitar digs deep and loud I notice a faint amount of dimming. I just wondered what my next step would be to get rid of it altogether? Here is a list of what Im running. 02 Accord EX-L V6 Coupe with a stock alternator and the car already had a few month old Optima Red top in it.
