well my 160a2 rockford amp is not working so i opened it up and found that a resistor was blown it was brown around the area it was in. I think i can fix it but i dont now what part it is i need there are so many different resistors. The one on the amp has four band the out side ones are like a brown gold color and the middle ones are some dark color.

Looking for a budget amp for a friend to drive an 8" Assasin sub in a .6 sealed enclosure. Any recommendations?

Not sure if I should I get the battery for the front or should I go with the larger ah one in the back.

Here is the layout- 258A alt regulated at 14.95v wired directly to factory starting battery. Wire comes off of the starting battery and goes to the rear through solenoid then to 3 batts in the rear. When the stereo system is ran at full tilt for about 2 minutes straight, at one time recently i got a rotten egg smell that came from inside the engine bay but only under high amperage demands. Local Auto Zone fears that since the alt is ran to the starting battery first before it reaches the rear batts and amps is that it may be overcharging the starting battery. We felt the terminals onthe starting batery and they were scorching hot. So... for those who have setup high power…

So my amp has been acting up since the day I got it.(Diablo Audio Technologies HellFire 1000.1) The problem is that it plays for a few minutes after I turn on the truck and goes into "Alarm Mode". (If I restart the truck it will come back on for a few minutes as if it had a clock inside telling the amp to only turn on for a few minutes(3 or 5 min.)) At first the ground was a little loose so I tightened it. It still kept on doing it so I bought some Sandpaper to make a nice, clean ground and it still does it. Can someone help me? P.S.- As I've mentioned before I did a direct swap with my MTX amp. In fact, the only thing I changed was the ground which is alot better now. H…

The guy has two for sale a big one and a portable one. 100 for the big one. 50 for the portable. I can't tell which one is which but is this a good deal anyways? I don't know how much I could use this or even how. But I know they're expensive. So my question is should I call him and get it now or just settle for setting my gains with a dmm or just by ear? Alright so I have 4 Sa-10s coming in the mail this week and will probably build my box next weekend.. So I need to find an amp SOON!!! I don't really know how much power to give the 4 SA-10s but the 3 amps that I have been looking at and looking for used/new are: SAZ-2000d Audioque 2200d Crescendo BC2000d I wanna do this right the first time and get a great amp from the start with this setup. Plus I figure these amps are linkable so in the future I could add a second to match and gain 2x power if needed down the road. Is 2k good for 4 SA-10s? or would 2.5-3k be a better match? Lately ive been thinking of different installs to get myself into considering i recently landed a decent job. Basically not sure how to hook up multiple amplifiers beyond the 2/3 pre amp outs on the HU. I understand most amps these days are linkable and that I understand.. but what if i want to go farther than that? Where does the signal come from? For example.. say i want to add a shit load of speakers to my door's which would need multiple amps.. how do i go about getting the signal to each amp beyond the front/rear outputs on the H.U? Or say i want to add a shitload of subs to the back which will require more than a couple amps.. arent linkable amps limited to (2) toge…

Looking to buy a saz 2500 and just seeing what you guys think i should do about electrical to power the amp. It'll be pushing a sp4 reconed by psi audio, they told me that it will be 2500 rms or better. ill be running the amp at .5 ohm. For electrical so far i have the big 3, a 350 amp alternator by bnr parts (junk by the way) looking for a 270 amp alt by mechman and a xs power d3400 under the hood with all 1/0 gauge. Just trying to get some help with what i should upgrade to run .5 ohms daily. looking to get dual toolmarker 1/0 for the power and ground for 2 runs of 1/0 wire. should i be looking at another battery? and what if i got just a smaller battery and put the 340…

Thinking about upgrading my head unit to something that is ipod friendly with good sound quality and high pre-amp volts. Eclipse Cd 5030, Jvc Kdr 900, Clarion Dxz 785 are some of my choices, my brother say i cant go wrong with the eclipse, suggestions and opinions will help very much. Thanks alot!!!!!

h, i am thinking of running a 980bt for my headunit and i want to use it to do an active set up and i was reading the manuel and i think i understand how to do it but i want to make sure. this is how i think it is: i need to have channels 1 and 2 used for the tweeter with a highpass set to whereever then use channel 3 and 4 for the midrange with a lowpass set just below the highpass. and i want to use 2 sets of speakers so i can just run an rca from the amp to the other amp. and sorry but this is my first time doing active and i want to make sure. also on the amp. Sax100.2 would i set x over on it to full? or is there a way to bypass it.

ok here is the scenario: im running 2 BLs off of 2 1000.1 kickers and am gettin some dimmage(only when i turn it up), everything is stock question(s): whats the difference between a red top and yellow top(which is better reccommended if at all)? or do i need to get an xtra battery and/or cap? should i go ahead and attempt the "big 3 upgrade" to see if it helps any? thx in advance, and sorry, im noob when it comes to this stuff

Here in my next build, I'm going with 4 batteries, but am unsure about which to use. I'm going to be building a wall in my 2 door Chrysler Sebring....2 Sundown Audio 3000D's, 1 15" custom Nightshade(lil bit of tweaking) and a Sundown Audio 100.4 for component set. I'm running all 0 gauge Kicker Hyperflex wiring, Optima Yellow Top up front with big 3 done with the only alternator available for my vehicle...a Load Boss 160 Amp alternator.
