Looking to buy a saz 2500 and just seeing what you guys think i should do about electrical to power the amp. It'll be pushing a sp4 reconed by psi audio, they told me that it will be 2500 rms or better. ill be running the amp at .5 ohm. For electrical so far i have the big 3, a 350 amp alternator by bnr parts (junk by the way) looking for a 270 amp alt by mechman and a xs power d3400 under the hood with all 1/0 gauge. Just trying to get some help with what i should upgrade to run .5 ohms daily. looking to get dual toolmarker 1/0 for the power and ground for 2 runs of 1/0 wire. should i be looking at another battery? and what if i got just a smaller battery and put the 340…

  4. I am ordering 2 RE XXX 6.5c sets. And am planning to use the sundown amp to power it all. Do I use the front or rear rca output on my deck to the amp. One component set in my front doors one in my rear doors. Or does it matter since I will be using the x-over network provided with the comp set.

  6. I've been searching for a while but can't find what I'm really looking for. I'm looking for a headunit with about the same capabilities as the H701. Currently I have Peerless 8s in my doors (going to seal my doors soon), seas tweeters and 4 inch speakers in sealed kickpanels, and four Sundown audio 8inch subs on the rear deck with a sealed box under them. I planned on 3 way active front stage and the subs (so would that be 4 way? haha..idk). I bought the H701 and controller from a guy on here last year but I'm not done with the install yet so I havent started using the H701. I need a new headunit because my old alpine is dying slowly. I've been searching around f…

Right now I have an saz-2500d and I am getting the electrical to power it sufficeintly. As for batteries, the one I have now is a perfectly fine battery, I do not know what kind of amperage its putting out but it is a stock carquest battery and rests at 12.5. Car on, I rest at 14.0-.1. I plan on doing... Excessive Amperage 200 amp Alternator Big 3 And a bettery for the rear (Possibly Deka intimidator 9A31) My question is on batteries... I don't want to spend a load of money on batteries so I'm wondering if a stock battery and 1 rear would be okay. Another thing is.. If my stock battery rests differently then my extra battery would that be okay, or what part would I need t…

I never thought that choosing a headunit would require so much time and energy. Once I pick one I start having 2nd thought because of reviews or various other reasons. I have owned Kenwood units in the past with pretty good luck. I went to my local Best Buy to check some options out in person. The Kenwood units appealed to me the most. They seemed much more user friendly witha nicer interface. Just my opinion though. I don't need every option available, but these things are important.... Amp output. 1-2 Cameras. Able to play DVDs or youtube for my daughter. 6.95in screen or bigger. Screen tilt/Dimming is helpful. Under $350/Doesn't have to be…

Well, it is finally time for me to get a new head unit for the Bronco. I really like the Alpine cda-7893 that is in it now but it's from 2002 and is cd only. The Alpine skips like crazy now when I try to get some decent bass going in there and I need to begin testing for next season so I'm going to purchase a new unit with usb. I'm looking for some suggestions on other units that I may have overlooked and some opinions on the few that I'm already interested in. Here's the list of requirements: 1)Single DIN 2)3 preouts 3) USB (front really preferred) 4) Ability to play cds Here's the list of units that I'm thinking about: Kenwood KDC - x895 (I like this one and will probab…

I will be running two batteries for the first time and have some questions. I have an energizer battery under the hood, and a yellow top for the truck. My question is will these two be ok ran together? I thought someone told me the batteries must be the same, but I could be mistaken. Thank you for the input.

Have a ford F150 truck (1995) , Im in need of getting a new battery i think (the sundown saz1000) makes my headligths dim, big 3 allready done and i have a 95 amp alternator on it. I bought this smaller amp so i wouldnt have to upgrade my electrical . I think my weekest link is my battery .What Battery Brands would you reccomend and also if there are any so called sleeper batteries (Walmart, kragen, autozone) that are a great buy .Not looking to spend 150 bucks on a battery either . Thought the system could handle 2-10" subwoofers and a 200 watt amp to run the mids, tweets . Everythign is wired in 4 guage as well. Lets hear what you all have to say !

I'm almost embarrassed to be asking this but I want to do my own instal for the first time since 1995 and I know there are some major pros on this site, here goes... I'm keeping the factory radio, no NAV, no amplifier on my 2013 JEEP Wrangler with the stock 6 speaker system. I plan on using my Audio Control LC2i as a line driver and purchasing a PPI 900.4 and mounting under the dash. I bought a Bravox component system from this forum for the front and have replaced the sound bar coaxles with a pair of Alpine type S's I picked up for $25. I'm using deck power for the sound bar, I hated the idea of rear speakers at first but a Jeep is a rolling compromise, and will us…

I'm installing my AudioControl DQXS and setting up my active system. As a total newbie to this active stuff, I'm crossing one huddle at a time. The first thing is a major, and I mean major noise issue. So bad that it sounds like a test tone being played when the system is at 0 volume. With the vehicle running or not, it only changes in tone. I finished up late tonight and have not been able to do much troubleshooting. I did play with the internal (jumper) ground settings on the DQXS without any success. I was in a bit of rush when I wired it so here's what I did. I daisy chained the power to the DQXS off one of the amps. A 4 gauge wire from the battery to the amp to the …
