We came across a Crunch 1500 watt Power Zone amplifier, P1500.1. it will power up and play music.......... as long as there is some pressure on one of the adjustment knobs..... Take away the pressure and the music output stops. The "Low Pass" filter knob is missing , once the amp is opened up, you see that the whole little box has been removed. so first question is ; can I purchase and install this box ? like is that i DIY type project? second question ; is there any home remedies for the pressure issue? anothere DIY project. If need be, I will send it in and get it fixed, but was hoping to do it cheap, in house. thanks for the input, chop IAK

  2. Hi everybody, I'm getting rid of my rear speakers : I can't hear them with my 15" Icon playing! I will only keep my Focal 165 KP front speakers, but I don't want to go active. What should I do? Keep my current 4 channels amp and bridge it to the Focal? (This amp puts out 2*225 watts rms) Or sell it and buy a 2 ch amp (to save some power , and maybe some space and weight) I was looking at the Sundown amps : 125*2 or the 100*2. What do you think? What would you do?

I have an arc audio 1200.1 amp I have not used it yet but wanted to see if anyone on this thread had any opinions on it. I also have bc2000D amplifier. I realize the wattage difference. I have been told that the arc will be very effecient. Should I expect the same out of the crescendo? Just exploring options. My build if for my daily driver.

Ok first you need. 1.ps2 or other gaming system. 2. monitor 3. power converter 4. some supplies from radio shack. Video--- Ok so we all know the ps2 has male rca's right. So my monitor in particular has one male rca that is for the video in. So i had to go to radio shack and get a double sided female rca connector to get the screen to work. So thats how the video is hooked up. Sound-- This can be tricky depending on your radio. Some radios have an auxilary input for tvs and such, so if you have this just connect the red and white rcas to you radios auxilry input. Mine doesn't I have a tape player and I also have a portable cd player, so i have the tape that plays the cd …

AVH-P5200BT I can buy one today brand new for 450.00 I like it because of the 4v Pre Out, the 8 band EQ and watching music videos would be cool. I think it'd be a nice upgrade from my Alpine IDA-x305s that got stolen. Thoughts?

Looking for a amp to run the L7 1000rms@2ohm under $300 shipped, Soundstream Picasso PCX1500D for $287 on ebay or HIFONICS BRUTUS BXi1610D for $232 on ebay both are 1100@2ohm. The board was made by PPI but I'm not sure if the ppi 5 pin will work with this amp. heres a side view of the amp from ampguts.

Hey I notice Ppl using 2 2/0 for There ground Could you explain to me why so much for the ground and where you would put yours at on your ground because I was planning on using 4 gauge on Body (A) > Head (B) > Coil Pack © > Battery Negative (D) > Body (E) And was going to use 0 gauge for battery negative - body But why would you use so big wire on the ground? I was told the car for the ground needs some sort or resistance for the computer to know, but 2/0 is bigger then 0 gauge. If i decided to do 0 gauge will I be ok you think Here is a site that does my old car grounding its similar to the same identical to my new car for what I am about to do. http://www.s…

sooo yeah, basically i'm just looking for some tips to stop my head unit from skipping due to vibration. as it stands now my deck (Pioneer DEH-3800MP), most of the time gives me no problems when the volume is at 35/64, but when i go higher to 40, and sometimes even 38, the bass makes it vibrate and skip. i'm just wondering if there are any tips or better ways to secure my deck to limit this problem. i'm planning soon to double my subwoofer power (getting 2 IA LI's), so i'm hoping to get this solved before that. i've read somewhere that skipping can be a voltage issue and one way to solve it is to go around the wiring harness and wire the deck directly to the battery, …

  21. I am never one to cut corners, on the flip side I am one to over build. I am ditching Iraggi alternators cuz their service SUCKS and I am going excessive amperage. I will be getting another HO alt and 2 more big AGM batteries and doing some more runs of ott. 1st off, do you guys recommend I get a missinglinkaudio voltage regulator? Anyway, should I get dual 4 ohm XXXs for the VAN and go 2 ohm, or should I run dual 2 at 1 ohm since I should have good electrical to back it up? I have heard stay 2 ohm, and I think that is what I will do. It's already too loud as it is 99% of the time.. my ears hurt and get numb on a daily basis and I know it's stupid. But when i'm showing o…

My H/U only puts out 2v. Figured this could help so I bought one. Im tryna set it to about 5V. Got the cover off and everything. But how do I check what voltage its at? I put a DMM on the outside of the rca plug and it stayd at 0. Put the prongs on the inside and the numbers went crazy! What am I doing wrong? Do I have to have the LD installd and the rca's hookd up before adjusting the voltage?

  25. Let's say I'm running the Sundown 1000 watt amp with 2 gauge power/ground wire and an 80amp fuse near the battery powering a 12" Fi Q. If I want to change my sub to a 8" Soundsplinter RL-i, and replace the Sundown with a P.G. 400 Watt amp, does the 2 guage wire need to be changed? If not, then does the fuse need to be changed? BTW: I don't have those amps or subs. My main question was the wire question. I realize the Sundown would actually be good for a dual 4 ohm RLi-8. But let's forget all that.
