I have an alpine cda-9855 and i has the option to use a 7 band graphic or a 5 band parametric.. what is the difference between the graphic and parametric??

Hey everyone I need ur help on this setup of mine. I want to get two audio q 2200 amps powering 2 fi btls. How do I make sure that both amps are drawing the same amount of power and giving OUT the same amount of power to each sub?

Ok so I got a new to me truck. It has a stereo in it already which is good. A JL 12w1v2 in a sealed truck box, hertz components, a rockford punch 300.1, and a kenwood excelon x797 I don't like the x797 so I put my kenwood excelon x998 in it. I can't see the display at all on sunny days with this headunit. I want a new single din with 4v+. I don't care about active, or a CD player. If it has a CD ok no big deal. I love all the features of my x998 but its just no doing it for me anymore. I'm more about features. I will not spend more than $250 so that leaves out the 80prs it seems. Well, a friend told me the other night he had some amps sitting around that he has never used really, so I asked him what he had and he replied with, "power acoustik stuff." Now, I was a little skeptical at first but I decided to look anyways. Well, come to find out one of the amps he had sitting around was a PA A2400DB so I jumped on that. He only wants 200 for it and it comes with original box, packaging, the works. Hooked it up to my Ti and MAN does it make a world of difference having this over my old amp. what can this amp really do with (2) fi bl 18"s? overated or underated?

i know the older soundstream stuff was good, but I know nothing about the edge series or picasso series class D amps. i figure they put out rated power, but are they still considered quality? I need a 1ohm stable amp, and soundstream has some good prices on ebay...

What are the Pro's and Con's of a Capacitor?

Alrighty, 2001 honda civic sedan ES1. Singer 320 Amp alternator. Came with a black bracket for the bottom and a spacer for the top. Was suggested to get a smaller belt by other people but it won't even go on with the factory size belt. Bottom brackets do not line up at all. Don't really know what to do. Pics Alt with black bottom mounting bracket Alt mounted on top with belt on. Where the black bracket provided does not come close to fitting with the factory adjustable bracket.

ok so i kknow atleast for my vechile 01 gmc sierra that the dual alt brakcets are pretty simple design.. cant fathom spending 200plus dollar for a piece of cnc cut 3/8 steel. so basically was wondering if anyone has made their own dual alt brackets, who all sell dual alt brakcets?

i have all hyperflex 0 awg, i have a fuse between the alt and battery, at the beginning of and at the end of the run that connects the yellow top to the kinetiks, and from the kinetiks to the amp rack, which also has a anl fused distro. all fuses are 300amp except the 100amp that goes to the clarion amps. will this cause a substantial voltage drop?

I will be using four Phoenix Gold ZPA amplifiers in my next build. Two of the ZPA 0.5 will be used to power my subwoofers. I am considering two ICON 15". All four of my ZPA have v2 mods as well as cap replacement and the two 0.5 wil have upgraded power supply components. At a 4 ohm mono load the 0.5's output is around 1200w, at 2 ohm mono output is around 1600w. Since these are class a/b amplifiers current draw increases fairly significantly at 2 ohms mono. Do you think I should use these amps at 4 or 2 ohm mono load? I would think that the damping factor would also be lower at 2 ohm mono. This is a daily install and the design goal is more SQ orientated than SPL. BTW I…

I know that there are some good amp companies out there, i need a suggestion for, a single 3way comp set up front and 2 15" SI Mag D2s. Comp watts needed 400 total, 2 channel. Sub watts needed 2.5K-3K total mono/ or 2 mono d block amps. Any suggestions for these wattages... moneys not the issue but i dont wana spend alot. I want quality stuff. But not over the top. any suggestions welcome.

The pioneer 880PRS / P80RS has an internal amplifier that can be be turned on and off as required. 1. Can the unit be used in network mode and still use the internal amplifier to output to the front and rear channels? 2. if the channels are still powered in network mode, do they have filtering on them? and can front/rear balance still be controlled from the headunit? I want to make sure i get more information before i go and do my own things . I recently received a saz1000 .I plan to install it useing 2 - 10" subwoofers (Audiopulse Epic dual 4ohm voice coils) . My question is amp settings : Were do i iinitally set the subsonic at ? Were do i iinitally set the LPF at ? Were doi iinitally set the Phase at ? Were do i iinitally set the Bass boost at or if i even need it ? I can deal with the gain .If you amplifier gurus can give me some ideas, i would appreciate it .

Hey guys I am looking into buying the above listed amp (orion cobalt cs 500.5) but for some reason I can't find the specs for this amp. So far the ONLY specs I have found but NOT confirmed are RMS Power at 2 Ohms: -1 W x 50 Epinions.com - Search Results: Orion Cobalt $ 500 _5_Amplifier___Cobalt_CS_500_5 (whatever that means) and 50x4@4ohm and 200x1@ xxOHM basically if it is 50x4@4ohm that is good but if it is 200x1@4ohm that isn't good lol. so if ANYONE has better Google skills then me please help me out or if anyone can verify with past experiences or a manual that would be awesome! and here is a pic of it! thanks Kenneth
