I have a hifonics bxi2010 and wanted to know if its safe to run this amp a .5 ohm. I have a 200 amp alt, 2 runs of 1/0 wire, and 2 c&d batts in the back. Thanks in advance.

Im running 2 12 inch pioneer subs (Ts-w3002d4). With an 3000 watt hifonics zeus amp (zrx3000.1d). My question is what to tune the ssf and lpf to? I play mostly rap music.

Does anyone have in experience with the kenwood dnx9990 or the pioneer avic-z150? I'm seriously thinking about going over my budget and save up for one of these..if there is anything better please post up a link

I recently installed a Pioneer AVH-3200BT in my new car. I've been having alternator whine issues, and I've been trying to figure it out. I thought it may be the pico fuse at first but the head unit still has connectivity between the chassis and rca shield. I tried a ground loop isolator and it made it worse. I ran a new ground direct from the head unit and the whine went away, but a static remained. At first it was bearable, but it's gotten louder for whatever reason. At one point today when I was troubleshooting it today, I removed the ground wire and the head unit stayed on! Confused, I tried to figure out how it was grounding, and it turns out it is grounding through …

Hey Friends... I just wanted to know how do you have your music hooked up? Are you running your wires from the battery or from the positive on the alternator? Right now I have 2 TC Sound 18' Ultra lLMS with a 200 amp alternator one red top batt one 1400 kinetik and 4 hc2000 kinetiks with one IA40.1 amp waiting on the other one. My plan is run two or three lines with the big three already done. I am trying to keep my volts up pass 13.5 when the bass hits. Please advise me on what to do. Well today at the TBP bass wars event, I found out that I'm not getting any voltage readout off the RCA's from the headunit. Tried it with several meters and it wont register anything, just shows 0.00 .....So apparently, I'm not getting any RCA voltage input to the amplifiers... Someone suggested I needed a line driver to solve this problem. My question being, would this solve the probem....being that I can get a cleaner signal and can adjust it to the voltage I want.. ? Hi, there is a "high" level and "low" level sensitivity switch on my JL amp. The manual suggests to set at "high" but I almost get no movement from the sub until I turn the gain at least halfway. Setting it at "low" seems to boost the signal input and the sub bumps alot more with the gain at zero compared to halfway setting before? I usually set mode slope to 24db as it sounds better to me and center frequency 65hz and low pass around 80-100 depending on size/box the sub is in. Its a sealed 400w 10" that I've been fooling with, so should I keep input at "high" level setting and boost sub eq on headunit and gain more? Or just stick with what sounds best? I have 4v preouts,…

So say i set my gain at 50%, if i dont even plug in the remote knob, obviously the amp operates with 50% gain. But if i plug in the remote knob and set the knob to 100%, given the amp's gain setting is still at 50%, will i have identical output? or would i have to reset the amp's gain setting with my dmm? From what i understand, the amp's gain setting sets the maximum level of gain, and the remote adjusts the percentage of that gain setting you want to use. i.e. you have the amp gain set at 50%, and the knob at 50%, so you'd be using the equivalent of setting the amp's gain at 25% with no boost knob correct?

lol so my friend is debatin whether to keep his mtx thunder 1200 or sell it and either get 2 audioque 1200's he wants to know which amp is better? mtx thunder 1200 or audioque 1200 yall tell me and will the audioque fit 0 guage wire?

So lastnight I installed a digital volt meter in my dash, and today I noticed that when starting the car it reads around 14.5v, when not running it reads around 12.8v...However driving around a bit I see my voltage drop down to around 12.8v, not staying at 14.5v, even if I'm not pushing my subwoofers... Is this normal? I assume it has something to do with the alternator?

in the back of my truck is not the learning experience I quite thought it would be. Until the Fox acoustic box gets here, my rear seat is out and my Great Dane takes pleasure in stepping on the cables. Uncle Mur4phy must have told him to stand right on the connectors because all four are broken.To top it off, he's crapped twice on the sub amp and pushes off anything I cover it up with. Back to the RCA's, those 22gauge wires are too small to hold and solder at the same time. What can I use to hold the jack while soldering? Mind you this has to be done in the back cab of my truck.

Okay, so i've been away for a min but i've finally got me another vehicle with room for a system, and my question is as far as opinons go what is the best head unit for around 400 or less that is internally amplified, thanks for the help in advance!

Here's what i have Excessive Amperage 180 amp alt. 110 at idle big three plus more doen in 1/0 ga optima yellow 19 feet 1/0 ga to the trunk 5 inches of 1/0 from amp to ground MTX thunder elite 1501d during testing yesterday i found that on the voltmeter mounted in the dash (aftermarket) it would drop down to 12.3 and lower during a romp on the new xcon. i haven't tested at the amp yet but shouldn't the volt meter be a good indication of the drop in the rear? the alt tested out good the last time we had it benchtested by excessive. any clues or ideas?

hello guys i was wondering would it be ok to run 1 sub that is 150 watts rms off a 4 channel amp and run front speakers in a car on the other 2 channels of the amp ?

I currently have a v1 sundown amp. If I wanted to strap a second amp do I need to strap only with a V1 amp or would it be ok to strap with a V2 model?

Ive read several different things about this amplifier throughout this forum. Some people say its a good amp but only does its power at 2 Ohm.. i goto the actual website and it appears its stable at 1 ohm. let me cut to the chase. Friend needs a budget amp for his Fi Q 12" sub. Found a audiopipe 1500d on craigslist locally that is for sure in the budget. Guy says its hooked up so we can hear it work before purchasing. If this amp isnt 1 ohm stable then its pretty much worthless to us, since the fi Q is a dual 2 ohm sub and were planning on 1 ohm stable here. im going to attach a picture of the amp. Guess my head unit doesn't like my new setup. After going close to full tilt the screen goes blank until I turn truck off and back on. Any suggestions or just send it back to Crutchfield?
