I bought a Sundown 100.4 refurb from DB-r a while back while it was on sale. When i got around to installing it, it was blowing fuses on the distro as soon as you hooked it up. So I sent it out to DB-r Tuesday before thanksgiving and I recieved the amp back TODAY (1 week and 1 day later). I am completely amazed with it being the week of Thanksgiving I received the amp back so quickly. That includes shipping time BOTH ways. The whole time it was out DB-r kept me updated with emails. I just wanted to give credit to DB-r for the excellent work they did. :bigclap:

I've been having problems with my stock battery and I want to replace it. So I want something good to replace it. I just measured and I have a max 12" long x 7.5" wide. I'm just a little unsure what to go with. My budget is around $200 but I don't mind spending a little more if need be. This is my first battery purchase so I'm not sure what the best place to order from either. I was thinking a Kinetik 1800 but I'm not sure, I just don't want to make the wrong decision and regret it. Appreciate any help.

I have a kenwood unit now that I like because of the iPhone interface and the front panel USB. Problem is that it only has 2.5 volt pre-outs. Dont really care of brand as long as it is name brand and reliable. Cd's are a no go as the vibration from the bass just ejects them now. So I'm looking for something that has USB and preferably iPhone compatible and has 4 volt pre outs. Open to all options and wanna stay around $250-$350ish range. Any help appreciated

  6. I think while my truck is in rebuild mode I will go ahead and upgrade or change to a newer unit. I love the alpine but want to look at something different. Looking at the deh-80prs or the avh-P8400bh. Sq wise the 80 looks like the choice but im sure I would be happy with either. Any other good dd units out there? This is what I have now and will be letting go cheap to anyone interested http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lCerWQCN13n/p_500IVAW200/Alpine-IVA-W200.html#details-tab I want good control of eq and options for hpf and lpf. Any other opinions? I have a alpine 600 watt 4 channel that will cover the mids and highs unless I pick up an additional small 2 channel just for t…

posted this else where but, looking for as much in put as possible Well ladies, its time to add some more batteries. I'm plan on going from 1 AT3000.1, to two Current electrical is a 230 amp alt, stinger SPP1200 under the hood, and an HC2000 in the trunk with 4 runs of 0ga Full tilt daily I might see 14v flat as long as I keep it revved lol. Lowest I saw it drop while metering, was 13.5 but I let of the gas... But it seemed to stay at 13.8 or higher after a long burp staying revved. So I have options for batteries mainly, just adding a second to the rear. I'm considering a D3100 since its about the biggest I can get (max cubic inches is 800 per batt in usaci) and is extr…

  8. Ok so I have done the Big 3. Have a jeep grand cherokee. Found out the alt stock is 110amps. I am running a 100.4 amp and an alpine mrd1005d. Looking to get a deep cycle battery up front and a bigger alt. Battery i have up there now is 11 long and 7.5 wide. I looked at the battery basket and measured 13 long. I was thinking a powermaster d3100 up front. Just am trying to brainstorm some ideas and figure out a few different product choices. Also the Sea tweeters sound very nice. Barely need any power to get loud which really surprised me. Almost got those Excel mids dialed in and the midrange clarity is def worth it.

It's been a while since I have posted on here...busy busy busy. Anyways, I'm not a new kid on the block when it comes to car audio...I was an installer for over 6 years and play with it as much as I can now. I am requesting some insight from somebody with good experience in chasing down engine noise, because I'm at whits end!! Setup: 2004 Audi S4 Factory deck, using the common ground preout on it (hard wired into rca's) Alpine PXE-H650 processor 3 Sony XM2252HX amps (1 front, 1 rear, 1 sub) Image Dynamics CX62 components front/rear 2 Polk DB12 (circa 1999, running free air in rear deck) SO, I think I have isolated it down to a bad capacitor in the power supply on the fact…

I just recently found out that my T400-4 has some major issues with crosstalk. I talked with a local guy advertising on CL for amp repair and $25 for testing and flat $125 for repair has me wondering if it would be cost effective to fix it vs selling it cheap to someone that wants to mess with it and getting new amp(s) to properly power to my mids. The ad in question is http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/eld/4346888840.htmlI am trying to run a set of ID X65 and XS28 in a 2-way active setup. I have been eyeing the arc foose amps and the zapco st-x and st-d lines if I were to change what I was running. My goals are to utilize my current drivers in the stock door locations t…

Hi guys, I'm transfering most of my gear from my old car to my new one. I had a 03 tdi with an Alpine HU ida-x305s with imprint module and now got an 12 tdi. I like the oem radio for all its features: hands free, sirius/xm, the iphone/ipod connection. I got myself an Audison Bit Ten D to tune in all my gear and got into an argument with a friend of mine about keeping the oem head unit. He says that the oem head unit is garbage and it doesnt matter how good a sound precessor is, if I feed it garbage in with the oem HU, it will give me garbage out to my speakers. I would like to have your opinions on this subject. Thanks.

  21. ok, so i just upgraded my stock head unit to a double din non touch screen thing, JVC something. its alright. i kinda miss my other.... i miss my steering wheel controls, and i hate how my antenna goes up when the thing is on, not just when the radios on. and it sucks that my ipod would be one of the 2 it supports that you cant control from the ipod. only the head unit... but besides all that so, a few problems i might get professionally fixed tomorrow unless its a simple fix. before, i had my suboofer amp hooked up to the back speakers. i splaced into that. i know stupid, i got bitched out on another forum, which is why i have the new deck. so now, ts almost all hooked u…

Hey I'm trying to build a system for my 2000 nissan pathfinder...and unfortunately it only has a 90 amp alt, and I don't want to buy a H.O. alt, so how much power can I safely run? I was planning on getting an Arc Audio 1500v1 XXK, which I didn't realize is a class A/B monoblock amp that puts out 1000 watts RMS...so i'm guessing it's not as efficient as a class D of the same power... soo i could do the big 3 upgrade...but is a 1000 watt class A/B monoblock not a good idea for a 90 amp stock alt? thanks for the help
