i have a zapco 2x100 that goe into protect at almost full tile i looked at voltage drope and the lowest was 12.77 volts and it went into protect and i turn the vol down and it starts playing again the ground is good any input?

would it be a benifit for to use a huge distro block to tie all my electrical together? heres what i need to tie in 6-8 runs from alternators 6 batteries and 8 runs to the amps. i cant use buss bars because of how my batteries are arranged. could i just route everything to a big block and run power from there to my amps? i may not have explained that well... it makes sence in my head.

I was wondering when i need to upgrade the electrical in my 00' Jeep Grand Cherokee it has a 136 amp alternator. I have but not installed yet a 12" Fi SSD Sub w/copper coils being powered by an AQ 1200D amp at 2ohms. then i have CDT ES620 comps being powered by the AQ 4X90. Sub getting about 900 watts and the Comps getting 240 watts with gains turned down.

I have an 04 escalade and am wondering if I get a new Deck from say pioneer a dvd player double din style, can I still have my steering wheel controls? There is a lot more than just audio on my steering wheel pertaining to oil readings and gas readings and mileage and all kinds of stuff. Does anyone know what is all controlled by the current head unit and what can be lost from changing it out?

Would it be better to run 0 gauge from the ground of the amp straight to the negative terminal of the battery instead of hooking it to a bolt under a seat?

i have a xcon 18inch woofer and a audioque 2200 amp a guy is selling a stinger sp1000 it sits at 13.5 volts for a 100 bucks is that a good deal will that battery work thanks for any help

I've looked around a bit and could not find a small v belt pulley for my Denso alt. 3/8 shaft I believe. Looking for something in like the 2 " range. Anyone know where I can get one? Need the right nut for it.too.

hey all i am currently in the market for a solid 1500-2000rms amplifier to power my IA lethal injections. i have narrowed it down to either a rockford fosgate t1500bd or an american bass 120.1. I will be doing a small amount of competing but mostly just daily listening. I can get them for almost the same price but just cant decide which one would suit me better. my electrical will consist of probably just a second larger battery in the back and the big 3. give me some pros and cons of each amp if ya could! thanks!

is it better to use only the amp's gain to adjust output (up to the clipping point), or use minimal gain settings and set the bass eq on the hu high? I'm thinking it would be better to just use the amp b/ you dont want the hu sending an already clipped signal?

So my buddy was sellin his Lanzar MaxP1200 amp for $70 and i picked it up for the hell of it, So my question is, What wrong with Lanzars exactly? They just really cheap? It says 1800 watts @ 1ohm but i dont believe it so im gonna run it at 2 ohms (900w rated) for the time being Is it a decent amp to run my Icon off of for a couple months until i buy my Audioque?

I have an MTX Thunder 8100 mono amp that I bought new a while back and Im wondering what the REAL output of it is broken down by ohm load. Anybody ever used one of these? I had it on 2 HX2 12's but Im wondering how it would do on 2 SSA Icon 12's. Would it suffice?

im going with a 200 amp alternator from excessive amperage in the ca group buy. its going in an 87 trans am daily driver with a kenwood 35x4 and an eD nine.1, going to do the big 3, have an optima yellow top 31, and run 0/1 gauge wire back to a distributor and 4 gauge to the amps. for daily driving, im wanting a small case not a large one right? large is more for spl vehicles that sit and idle as they burp correct? my car idles around 750-800 right now because i have a minor vacuum leak but once i track it down and fix it should be more like 600-650 idle.

alright i plan on running 2 18" subs. i have them in my car (91 civic hatch) so its a tight space. they are already in the car there right behind the seats 2 boxes side by side. and the subs are facing me. do i need to switch the amp phase to 180* since they are right behind my head lol or keep it at 0? its pretty much a wall setup. the subs are just angled back a little bit. im not 100 percent sure about the phase setting yet.

I bought a Pioneer P4100DVD and I can play movies just fine and everything but I wanna take it to the next step and start burning DVDs with music videos. I can't for the life of me find any documentation on how to format the videos besides being in .avi format. I talked to Pioneer and they weren't any help. Anybody got one of these?

I'm looking at maybe picking up the N4 which is Massive's new Nano line. Was wondering if anyone has experience with the Nano line. I've had older lines of Massive amps and I think they are fine, but never tried the Nanos. Wondering how hot they get.

Hmm, how do you figure out what fuses to run for inline power and distributor block? Right now they are matched with the amps, but they should be matched with the wire, right? Here's what I have now: Soundstream TRX1500D (120A) Soundstream TRX2.550 (60A) Inline Fuse = 250A Distribution block = 60A & 120A Power wiring is all 1/0 except after distribution block (2x4AWG) Question is for next year, I'm doing some upgrades: Soundstream RUB1.2500D (250A) Sounstream RUB2.600 (60A) Wiring will remain the same except I'll be running 1/0AWG from the block to the 1.2500D What fuses should I choose? I am thinking of using a Powermaster d3100 as an extra battery just for the 3k. i can't really change out the alternator as the truck is under warranty and I don't want to tamper with it and void the warranty. It's in an 05 F-150. All wiring is 0 guage. Here's what I need to know: I know that the amp-hour measurement is the most important, as anything above 120 or so is the bare minimum this amp needs. Also, how do I go about setting this up with the D3100 and the stock battery w/out cooking my alternator? I haven't done much with multi-battery setups so I want to make sure this is done right.
