Alright, well I finally had time to run the wires and hook up the AQ2200D i bought and hooked up the Volt meter also. When i First started my truck it was at 14.1V(If i remember correctly). that was with no sub hooked up just the amp, along with a boss rev-665. after having the truck run for about 5 minutes it dropped down to 13.8. I still need to do the big 3(i know i should have this done already ), and Im saving up for a XS D2400 for my main battery. What else would i need to keep a stable voltage around 14.4 or higher. I know I should get a HO alt but I just dont have the money to drop on one at the moment. What would yall suggest for me? Thanks! Alex

I am thinking of using a Powermaster d3100 as an extra battery just for the 3k. i can't really change out the alternator as the truck is under warranty and I don't want to tamper with it and void the warranty. It's in an 05 F-150. All wiring is 0 guage. Here's what I need to know: I know that the amp-hour measurement is the most important, as anything above 120 or so is the bare minimum this amp needs. Also, how do I go about setting this up with the D3100 and the stock battery w/out cooking my alternator? I haven't done much with multi-battery setups so I want to make sure this is done right. OR, how would I set this up where the truck runs on 12V and the system …

I have a couple questions. First, I will tell you what I have. I have a ported box w/ 2 12's they are DB drive PLW12D4's and each sub has its own amp and the amps are Crunch Pzi 1500.1. I also have a yellow top battery under the hood, a 200 amp alternator, a kinetik 800 battery in the trunk, and a 3.0 farad cap. Ok now I am thinking about adding another 12" DB drive, a sundown 1500 amp, and a custom box which I am thinking of having it made to the specs of the subs and 32Hz. I have a 1997 Ford Thunderbird. Also I have about 36 inches for the face of the box to be so the box fits in the trunk. I am looking for SPL. I use the car as a driver but also take it to show…

  10. I'm looking for a good HU that ranges from $100-200 and plays music via bluetooth with excellent sound. I have a 15" Rockford Fosgate T1 sub and a RF 300W 2 CH T3002 amp. I still need to replace both my front and back speakers. I love bass so I'm looking for a radio that has no problem with a lot of it.

I just installed a hifonics Zeus zrx3000.1d. I was wondering if a 4 gauge big 3 upgrade would help with the light dimming and give the amp more consistent power? Any ideas? If so, I saw on knukonCeptz.com that they had 4 gauge wire for 95 cents per foot.

I have an 04 escalade and am wondering if I get a new Deck from say pioneer a dvd player double din style, can I still have my steering wheel controls? There is a lot more than just audio on my steering wheel pertaining to oil readings and gas readings and mileage and all kinds of stuff. Does anyone know what is all controlled by the current head unit and what can be lost from changing it out?

im going with a 200 amp alternator from excessive amperage in the ca group buy. its going in an 87 trans am daily driver with a kenwood 35x4 and an eD nine.1, going to do the big 3, have an optima yellow top 31, and run 0/1 gauge wire back to a distributor and 4 gauge to the amps. for daily driving, im wanting a small case not a large one right? large is more for spl vehicles that sit and idle as they burp correct? my car idles around 750-800 right now because i have a minor vacuum leak but once i track it down and fix it should be more like 600-650 idle.

Installed a Sony (no comment) HU in a friend's car a few weeks ago, with no problems until another friend tried to replace the rear speakers. After which, the radio turn on wire does not function. To get the radio to turn on we have to wire both red (mem) and yellow (12+) to the 12+ constant. Checked every fuse in the vehicle, and smell no burned wires. If all else fails, we will simply run a new set of wires and re fuse them , but either way, i'd like to figure out what went wrong in the first place. 1992 Saturn SL (The awesome kind )

Hi- Does anyone know of some good active crossovers that have bandpass options? All of the ones I've been looking at only do high pass and have a subwoofer output. I really need one that can do a bandpass 50 hz to 2.5 khz, or just a 2.5 khz low pass for my mids. Then a 2.5 khz high pass for the tweeters. Obviously the high pass isn't hard to find but for some reason the low pass is... Any suggestions? Budget is maxed out at around $150. Any other info required just ask and I'll let you know. Thanks!

First of all I used the forums' search feature and I did not find any topics under "impedance rise". I currently am powering my XCON with a Crescendo 3kwp. I set the amplifier gain and ssf with my dvm. My XCON is wired for 1 ohm. With a little math my wrms output of my 3kwp should be around 1750 using -3db test tones ranging from 32-60hz. So here is my thoughts on impedence rise. I used a dvm and test tones to set my amplifier gain. This does not take into account any impedance rise between the narrow band of frequencies that my XCON plays. It also does not take into account any inconsistencies in the recording level of the music I play. Wouldn't it be beneficial for me t…
