I just wanted to post this to see what some people are using. I didn't want to do a poll or anything because this could vary. I'm currently using some Streetwire Z2 series in the truck. They seem to do the job. I'm thinking I may replace them with something else in the future. So tell me what you've got. Thanks

Hey I just ordered one one these little guys dual voice coil http://www.tcsounds.com/forums/index.php?s...c=1013&st=0 I haven't had to buy an amp in a long time and dont know whats the good budget amp for now adays. I've thought about the Alpine MRD-M1005, the Hifonics ZXi1006 and even the new Phoenix Gold RSd1200.1. Whats probably my best bet from those? They can all be found for around $300, which is the price I'd like to stay at. Any other recomendations would be awesome too. Thanks to all who can help

is there a technical way of finding out how much power an amp puts out @ 3 ohm? my boston pro60s are 3 ohm, and i was thinkin about gettin a zx550.2, and thats 205w rms x 2 @ 2 ohm, and i think 175 @ 4, i could take a ball park guess around like 190ish maybe, but is there an actual way to figure that out with math, or do i gotta get the amp, get a DMM, etc etc? Hey guys, I am having an issue with my amp I am wondering if my RCA's are bad, I had them loose in the trunk while my amp was uninstalled, could they have touched and burnt out or something, I didnt tape them off, only the power wire and ground, I didnt think they needed to be taped off as well. But my amp is sounding unright! the output is very low, I turned the gain up to max and it does not sound like a 1200 watt amp should sound, I dont know if that makes sense. im currently running a Zapco 360.4 brigded 180x2 for my componenets and a Xtant 301a regulated 300w (old school pre MTX) for my sub... huge fan of US made amps, both amps i know for sure are underrated and are badass amps, but im stuck i have an opportunity to pick up 2 audison amps for about 600 bucks... the LXr4.300 and the LXr1.400... i know audison makes great high end amps, but these are their middle end stuff... i was just wondering if it would be worth it to replace my current setup w/ the audisons has anyone tried the LXr line out? thnx for lookin

Like the topic says. If I'm going for a good SQ out of a sub, does the sound quality suffer if I'm running them at a lower ohm load like 2, 1 or .5ohms (as opposed to 4ohms). I'm looking to start up my wife's car with a SQ system and want to match subs and amps for good sq. Thanks guys.

Friend, I am from Nicaragua and have a couple of questions: I have a single Rockford amplifier T20001 (2500 - 2800 rms ) with 2 TRF 12 ... and i hit 145.6 db.....Now.... i wanna buy another T200001....my question is: It could increase the db with another T20001 or not. How many db can i increase if put each T20001 with each TRF 12" 1.5? 2? 2.5? 3? Thanks

First, a little about my setup. I want to run a 4 channel amp on my front stage, a two channel on rear fill, and 2 sub amps. This means I need 4 sets of preamp outs right? One set for front tweets, one set for front mids, one set for rear full range, and one set for sub amps. I want to be able to cross over the front mids and tweets at different points, in case I change components. I feel it sounds better if this is done at the HU so the amplifier can concentrate power only on desired frequencys. I will only use the preamps, so internal amp isn't necessary, infact I'd prefer NO internal amplifier. Only need CD capability, no MP3, no DVD. Some sort of time alignment. …

i just bought a set of boston pro60s for the mini. not sure if im gonna run rear fill yet or not...my question is...should i keep the factory HU and run a 3sixty.1 or jl cleansweep or one of those, and keep the factory HU, but with aftermarket speakers, subs, amps? or should i get an aftermarket HU? i want it to look some what factory, so if i get a HU, its prally gonna be the alpine 9855 becuase its black and you can change the color to amber i believe, so itll match all my dash lights better. anyone use the clean sweep? its like 119ish on ebay i think... pro's, con's? i never use cd's in the mini anymore either...i have a factory AUX input on the stock HU, and i use my …

My only request for this is that you have owned the unit. I dont think your favorite can truly be something you have never owned. You also must say why it was your favorite. Of the ones ive owned I must say that my favorite is the Eclipse CD8053. It was really easy to use for all of the things you could change and tweek. I think my only real complaint was the touch rotary knobs that caused me to go from volume 12 to 345524352 billion with what felt like one click of the wheel sometimes.

I have this amp and it says 600 watts @ 4 ohms.I know it has more power than this I just dont know how much. If anyone knows the specs on this amp it would be helpful. What ohms is it stable to? What should I fuse this amp at since it has no fuse on it? Does it have an unregulated power supply? Class ? It is an oldschool amp but I would like to run it, just need some info.
