Need a little help. Finally got everything wired up and in the car. Ran all my wiring, hooked up my batcaps, grounded everything and I have power to everything. Only problem is that I can't get any sound out of my Sub or Component speakers that are wired up to the amps. Nothing is in protect mode or anything. Are my RCA's possibly bad, or is the headunit just not sending out a signal? I got about 5 seconds of sound out of the sub and components when I first turned it on, now nothing works. No fuses are blown or anything. I need help please!! Any replies are appreciated. Jeff

was thinking about getting one in a little while. I dont want to spend too much, but want something reliable. how long would it take to get familiar with one? any suggestions?

I am going to run 2 Fully Loaded Btl 18" s dual 1ohm coils and I was wondering if anyone had some ideas for an amp or amps to run. electrical is upgraded and I was wanting to atleast give them a true 4k RMS. Also I am wanting to stay under $800. Thanks, Brock

I have a PDX 4.100 and (2) 6.5 Alpine Type R component sets, what do i set the input channel too? I think 1+3/2+4 but the way Alpine worded this shit on the manual has me lost. I just want it so each 6.5 gets 100wrms. "Setting this switch to 1 + 3/2 + 4 will sum the CH-1 and CH-3 input and send it to CH-3 while the CH-2 and CH-4 inputs are summed and sent to CH-4" Thanks guys.

Well I sold my pretty red car in my avatar. :L I bought a nice Jeep Cherokee though and I plan on getting a BTL in the near future. For the sake of my electrical, would there be less voltage drop if I ran a SAZ 3,000 at 2 ohms compared to a SAZ 1,500 at 1 ohm? I don't mind the extra $175 or so if it won't take as much of a toll on my electrical. I have a stock alternator and will only be getting 1 XS or Kinetic battery (as big of one that I can fit) that will go under the hood. Thanks in advance.

new job way more cash! ok so i have been planing a build with some skar 12s changed my mind to put 4 ia ported in my trailblazer. well i did the big 3 i can tell a diff, but thats on a single dr. right now im trying to get the power to put 4 of them. ill be getting 2 kinetik batts under the hood and then another big one in the back. i plan on putting about 1kw max to each sub, also getting a ho alt. kinetik has a charging system also would i need oreven want that? then my trunk space is wide not so long would i be better off walling with them or a sub up port back deal. im not really wanting spl or sq more of a mix of both. im waiting for crescendo comps to come back out …

hey guys... i was just looking around for a HU for next build. and came across the Alpine CDA-117. i see that it has 4v preamp voltage. (F, R, and sub) i like the display... anyone personally use this? any opinions on this? and whats a decent price for this HU new? used? Have a few questions bout charging batts on an actual battery charger. I have a D3100 and a D5100 in the car. Let's say i purchase a Schumacher AGM charger. Since the rear batts have always been connected in parallel their whole time, is it ok if i charge them paralleled together? I don't really see how 1 batt could charge better than the other but i dont know for sure. Second, since i have a solenoid which isolates my rear batts from the rest of the car, is it ok if i charge the rear batts with everything still connected including all the ground cables ran to my chassis? I know not to charge while car running, that's obvious, just check the two things above.

Hey guys! got a quick question. Just picked up an iPod and hooked it up to my alpine deck. my question is....is it possible to get the iPod to turn completely off when i shut off my car? Or does it turn off ocmpletely on its own? or just go into sleep? im sorta confused. I know the screen blacks out. but i'm not sure if its off or if its in sleep. I haven't turned it off long enough to tell if tis in "deep sleep" and watnot, but im hoping to just be able to leave this thing in my glvoebox and control it all through the head unit let me know if you have any ideas!!

Picked up a kenwood kdc-hd942u a while back for my mothers scion since she was tired of the stock setup. instead of purchasing a new deck, could i add an external processor to go active..such as the rockford 3sixty?

Would lets just say 1000 watts on 2 ohms be the same electrical strain as 1000 watts on 1 ohm?

I havent really heard much about wiring full range speakers. I am hoping to get a new amp for my sub and i was wondering if i could wire both my front and back door speakers with my 2 channel powerbass asa 400.2 it should put out about 200 rms times 2 at 2 ohms and i didnt know if you could wire door speakers together or not.... I just havent heard anything about it. My reasoning is because they have to direct the freq to two different places so idk if both speakers would get all the signal... Lol its a noob question i know...

Anyone ever tried this amp? It looks old to me but I kinda like it. Hour meter for use, voltage remote meter and remote bass knob (well thats not that cool because most amps have them but the voltage meter is pretty cool), pretty good power and stuff. I have been frustrated trying to track down the background noise on my headunit. Here is what I have: Headunit - Pioneer 9400bh Amp 1 - Kenwood 150.2 Amp 2 - Kicker 500.1 #1 The pioneer when playing a 0 bit track has pink noise from usb and cd. Kenwood amp is powering my front stage and the pioneer is for the back. Fader front and rear both produce the noise with and without both rcas. #2 So I reattached the original headunit and there is no noise with the 0 bit track cd. It is hooked up to just the rear speakers. I have changed the grounds on both amps, changed the ground on the headunit, done the pico fuse fix (wire wrap). I am at my wits end, please tell me if buying…

im running 2 saz 4500's to 2 fi btl's and i was wondering should i strap them or dont? what is the purpose of strapping?

hi guys finally bought one i have a 130 amp alt and a 2400 kinetik and 800 kinetik and all 1/0 cable is that enough to power this i was thinking of getting another hc800 will i be ok i know i could use more batts but i should be ok right? thanks in advance Billy

Hey i need some help i got a new HU from a friend and my friend forgot the code so i cant play cds or anything, so im SOL is there any way i can Re program it or something like that PLease help i would really apperciate it

i was reading the tutorial and i see where i did a few things wrong, mainly setting the gain where i usually listen to my music n stuff. what i wanna ask is as far as using the test tone to set it i NEVER play cd's in my radio i always use my mp3 player via aux port. it plays WAY louder then my cd's do so should i set it that way or only do it by cd? next as far as setting up the bass boost before setting the gain i see it says use the center of 45hz( thats the center on my amp) do i use a 45 hz test tone too or still use the 50? also WTF do i set "Q" at?

I've had this head unit for nearly three years now and it still works great. I am now looking into putting together a 2-way active setup in a regular cab ford ranger and was wondering if this will be able to run active. I'm new to active setups and I am not sure what to look for in a headunit and would like to keep my 9830 if possible because I am low on cash. I have a strange problem with my hu...the remote and touch screen stop working but all the buttons on the hu itself is still working properly. what can be the problem?
