I recently bought a hifionics brutus amp and the blue hifionics loogo works, but the power led does not come on. The manual said if this happens theirs not enough power going through the remote wire and said to use a jumper wire and connect it to the 12V+? Im not exactly sure what to do, and i def dont wanna take my chances and screw it up. Can someone tell me what to do?

What is a signal processor? How much? Why would you need one?

So.. I don't use any of this new bullshit, i keep it old school with audiocontrol stuff that does not mess up. Resistor packs and things to sifts slopes and crossover points.. Hey guys quick question. I got a dodge challenger and I upgraded my starter battery to a kinetik hc2400 and then I recently added a hc1800 as a secondary battery. I recently brought a dmm to mess with and check the Ohms of some subs I had lying around. Then decided to check my voltage . So both says it rests at 12.8 then I started my car and the main battery read 13.78 or so and I checked my secondary battery and it read 12.8 like nothing happened. This is the first time I've ever checked my secondary battery, I've had a dual battery set up in my altima. i got a pos pioneer gm-5300t 2ch amp for my gfs car as a temp. amp while my mtx 7801 she was using is being repaired, when i got the pioneer one of the speaker output terminals was messed up and it keeps blowing fuses after playing it for a while, so i opened it up and removed the speaker terminals and soldiered 16ga wire to the board (the way all amps should be imo) and i bypassed the fuseing by soldiering a piece of 12ga wire across all the soldier points on the board for the fuses and i am going to run an 80amp external fuse, anyways i noticed a switch on the board that said bfc on the bottom and spl on the top and it was switched to bfc im curious to what this is and …

I am wondering what sized wire is sufficient to run from my amplifier to my subwoofer. It will be about 6 feet long and delivering approximately 1750-2000 watts rms.

I need the biggest and best batt I can possibly get my hands on. Not looking too spend over $1000 for 2 and the battery can not be over 800 sq in. Im going to be having 2 RD D5 each wired at .25 ohms on it and am only allowed 2 batteries total. I already no my voltage is going to drop extremely low, thats why I need to know what my best options are for 2 batteries. I am going to be having a 350 amp alt too fyi

What is the best way to set your crossover setting on your amp and headunit? Can you leave your amp a little higher, then adjust from your hu when needed or should they both be set on the same HZ? What would be the best frequency for 2 DD350012e in a trunk setup? Currently I am set at 80 hz on my radio and about 90 hz on the amp. Bass boost is at 0, do you recommend using the bass boost or does this do more harm than help to your subs?

okay i had my mind set on getting these amps 2 of them. after hearing my friends 2010d powering 2 15" ssd's it sounds really really good. every "expert" i've talked to said those are the best amps for the buck right now and HIGHLY recommend them. and i've seen a 2010d power 8 12" AQ's for a long time (5 months) before it overheated/blew. i've always heard (a few years ago) that they have overheating problems. but then again i heard the 2010 models have a different circutiy. i'm really confused on this i do not have the money to spend on "testing" amps anymore and i'm tired of blowing money on low end equipment. so anyways i had my mind set on 2 bxi2610's for about a…

when tuning an amp without the bass boost on you tune it right before the amp starts to clip ... so if you increase the bass boost wont it make the amp clip or am i missing something?

So, I bought 2 hawker 2v cells to run a 16v tap. I thought i had a problem with that setup and found out it was ok. Someone said it was a bad idea and said i should purchase a 3 post kinetik hc16v(brand new). Thought to myself that id be on the safe side if i went ahead and did it. Called kinetik personally and talk to Jon( I believe) and made sure everything was properly installed and according to my Blue Point Dmm everything was like he said. Well, let me tell u what..... The hc16v setup with the EA alt on 19.1v to the 16v side and with a digital meter with about 3 weeks of driving, the battery dies completely. Got pissed and ran my 2 2v cells now for more mile…

hey everyone. im planning on buying one 12" BTL within the next 2 weeks along with a Crunch GP3000D-PRO and running it at 1ohm load. going to be putting them in my 2000 honda crv ex when i get back to the states from iraq here. i was wondering if there is going to be any need for me to upgrade my electrical system/add a battery or any other electrical things i will need to do? if yes, can you please list them for me because i simply have no idea. i do not know how much the alternator is putting out now either. i have tried researching and cannot find the stock one anywhere. any help would be appreciated thanks

I have a 5500watt amp that is 70% efficient which makes 3850watts to use. I have a 250amp alternator and my car uses up 27amps of that alternator so i have 223 amps from my alternator. i have replaced my BIG 3 with 0 gauge, and will have my system (an 18" Fi BTL dual 2) ran with 0ga and the speaker wire in 10ga. If i worked everything out correctly using 13v i should be looking for a 31ah battery but i know that i want to go much higher to run off of my battery and not my alt. What do i look for in a battery? and if possible what kind would you all recommend? should i use more then one?

Hey guys, I'm bullshittin' ideas around in my head about a temp daily set-up. until i do my BL What kind of electrical would i need for the set up listed below? I'm thinking a 350amp Alt from DC Power and a D3100 as a starter battery. AQ3500D.1 4 ohm power @ 14.4V @ 1% THD 1400W x 1 2 ohm power @ 14.4V @ 1% THD 2600W x 1 1 ohm power @ 14.4V @ < 1% THD 4300W x 1 AA SMD 18" RMS 3500w Also, if i were to double the equipment, could i still use a single alt and add another D3100? -- Or would that add too much then recommended stress on the alternator?
