Anybody have any experience with these VMAX Charge Tanks - Audio ? Local audio shop said they have been approached to carry the line.

I am looking to rebuild/convert my CS130 alternator to a high amperage unit. This is for the car and system listed in my sig. What are the limits this case can handle. I came across a 200 amp stator. The biggest rotor I've come across is 140 amp. Will these work together. To go along with this I was thinking about using a heavy duty Delco voltage regulator set at 14.7v, and a Delco rectifier with six 70 amp avalanche diodes. Any thoughts of what the output of this combo would be? Should I get a smaller pulley as well? Thanks.

I have an 02 Escort with the stock Alt. and Big 3 in 1/0 gauge. I'm getting an Fi SSD 15" D2 and a US Amps XT1600.2 very soon. First off is this a good match? I have been doing research for months on both items and am pretty set on booth (for price, performance and appearance). I also have an Alpine 3553 and 3527 which together only really produce around 200-240WRMS so add that to the XT and I'll probably see between 7-900wrms. Does that seem like to much for mostly stock electrical? Should I add a second batt.? I really don't want to have to.

alright, i got 2 kinetik 1800s. I was originally just going to take out the stock battery and put one under the hood and the other in the back. But i just want to ask a few more knowledgeable people first, should i just leave the stock battery under my hood in the tundra and put both kinetiks in the back? thanks

Or is one tube for positive and the other negative? so like instead of two wires running to my amp I will have one then at the amp I will split it into two by separating the 2 chambers?

Hello, I am in the process of deciding what I should do. I used to have a 180A alternator and it went bad. I sent it back to get fixed, and they quoted me $170 to build it back to 180A, or basically to fix it. However, they said that for $100 more, they can rebuild it to 200A. (I took it apart just for fun when I sent it back to them, just for fun, and it looked like it was a completely stock alternator which I thought was weird, but then again, I don't know what, besides rectifier diodes, is used to make an OEM alternator a high output alternator. My friend asked me to find him a cheaper 4ch amp. Budget is as close to $100 as possible, little over is ok. It needs a full range output on it because his deck is single RCA. I see a mob quart in the classifieds here but not sure how to follow up on that. No contact info. Is there anything new that can be had for this price? Just running a set of aura components and a set of Polk coaxials.

Is there any advantage to wiring your sub(s) on different ohms?

My HU has Front and Rear RCA outputs. If running front stage only, should I combine the front and rear outputs going to my external amp with a Y-adapter or should I just use the front RCA's alone?

I am looking for a replacement of my eclipse double din. I think I was getting some dc back feeding through my preouts and now they are dead. The unit is old enough not to have it fixed. So like the topic says I am having a tuff time picking out a Double din Hu. I would like three sets of outputs navigation is not a must and a nice looking screen I would like something of good quality that is my main concern. alright, my girlfriends car has a rf 300.1 to a rf punch P2 12. single 4 ohm(not sure why the place let her buy that combo, 150Wx1@4ohm) I bought a new sub for her birthday, just a resonant engineering REX 12 dual 4. nothing special but it will be getting twice the power at least. it is a ~2.5 ft^3 ported box tuned to 28 I think it was, that I built for her a while back, and I still need to carpet it. RE I havent told her that I got the sub for her, and dont want to tell her. I planned on in the middle of the night going out and pulling the box, carpeting it, and dropping in the RE. obviously I wont be able to bump the system in the middle of the night. i got 2 amps (soon to be 3) and one of those things with the flashy light... i think they call it a cap.... forget what the does... but anyways. ive always heard that you should ground to the same location but its getting harder to mount all the components close enough that i can reach a common ground location. amps: kenwood excelon (600rms for the sub), kicker 250.2, (adding second 2 channel or 4 channel amp after xmas) Questions? 1) can i ground to different locations? if so how? 2) does the ground wire have to be like 18" long or less? can it be more? if i use a ground distro is there a max length in this application? 3) do you need more info on the install?

ok i have 2 rd audio 3250.1 strapped @ 2 ohms the slave amp almost always go into protect only the slave turn the ing off startr it back up its fine till i go full tilt again thought it was the rca but done changed them 4 times anyone?

have you guys had any experience with these? you kno the ones with the lil 3.5" screen. ive been thinkin bout buyin one so was wondering to get some feeback on them. thanks
