What would be a good touch screen radio that is bluetooth/mp3 accessible but does not play dvds? tryin 2 save a lil $ and a dvd feature is useless to me

I'll be running 2 amps, how do I connect the remote turn on from both of them to the HU? Curious, thanks guys.

ok so i am currently running an eclipse cd1000 head unit. it says in the owners manual and on the face that it plays mp3 cds. i'm using roxio 2011 to burn with. ok so i burnt a couple mp3 cd's and the head unit tries to read it but ends up ejecting it, and then after getting next to nothing searching google i read sumthin saying burn it as a data disk so i did that and it still does the same thing. i've never had any experience with an eclipse deck until this one, so if anyone can help me with this that would be great. so please help me out

I have an 02 Escort with the stock Alt. and Big 3 in 1/0 gauge. I'm getting an Fi SSD 15" D2 and a US Amps XT1600.2 very soon. First off is this a good match? I have been doing research for months on both items and am pretty set on booth (for price, performance and appearance). I also have an Alpine 3553 and 3527 which together only really produce around 200-240WRMS so add that to the XT and I'll probably see between 7-900wrms. Does that seem like to much for mostly stock electrical? Should I add a second batt.? I really don't want to have to.

i have a couple of batts layin around my house, and i cant tell if they are good or not. THe one reads 9.4 volts, so i hooked it up to the charger, and 5 hours later it stil isnt charged. the other one read something like 4 volts and after 5 min. on the charger it says it is almost full. Are the batts no good, or not. (car bats)

I see a lot of stuff being sold used on forums and ebay. Is there any general rule to follow on how much they should be worth compared to new? Anything to watch out for as far as life span?( Would you buy one 10 years old) Which go the distance?

Iv recently blown my Alpine 1000.1 amplifier so i decided to replace it with an older PG Xenon 1200.1 i had lying around. I was looking at the control knobs and noticed it only has a Bass boost option, but no gain setting. Iv looked it up and its a bass boost knob for 45hz, 0-18db. I was just curious how i would go along setting this boost without a gain setting as well. Also, how should i set my deck settings along with this? I'm running 2 Alpine Type X 10" subwoofers in a ported box if that helps. Thanks -Mike

Ok so I have saved my jack and Im ready to buy an alt but wondering which one. I will be buying from mechman and want to know what u guys think. My system will include the SAZ-4500d, SAX-100.4, and maybe the SAX-50.4. Matt has a 200 amp (125 idle) alt BNIB by powermaster for 225 plus ship or a 250 amp rhino series (150 idle) BNIB for 299. I cant remember if the ship is included or not but the latter is part of his July sale. My budget tells me to get the 200 but I know I SHOULD get the 250 rhino. I need to buy this by the end of this week because I wont likely find these prices anytime soon anywhere else. Whatcha think fellas?

Got a new build in works on Acura TL. Need amp recomendations for pure SQ app using very high end drivers(listed in my subwoofer thread). Rms over 1000 needed other than that just looking to upgrade my current bsheeted 1650 at 14.4 with >92 s/n ration, 83 db chan sep, and <.05%thd from 20-85ish. Also have to use an OEM integration because Acura thinks there stereo is perfect the way it is... Looking at JL's, the RF 360.2(or other versions) and a couple from audio control(all good shit). Basically looking for anybody who has installed or heard systems with these or other high quality amps and OEM int units. I think my choices would suffice but always considering bett…

I am just curious since i always here people say that they notice a difference in sound at lower impedance, if 2 ohms will make a noticeable difference in my setup. I currently (and temporarily) am running an MTX 81000d which is rated at 1000w into 2 ohm load. I modified it to run at lower impedance but don't really plan on it. Do you think that there will be a major discernible difference between me running it at 2 or 4 ohms? Will it be as dramatic as an am with rated minimum impedance of 1 ohm running at 1 vs. 4. Just curious because where mine is rated at 2 minimum, i didn't know if it would have the same adverse effect as minimum impedance on something capable of lowe…

anyone have any luck switching to a smaller alternator pulley? Were there any noticeable gains in output?

i was looking for some good batts to match up with a audiopipe 3000 and a 200 amp alt. i was checkin out the kinetiks on ebay they seem to be good for the price. im not to sure about some other brands out there really just kinetik and xs power is all i know of . i am on a budget as i only make min wage. 200-280 is all i want to spend on batteries

I hooked my amplifier after having it sit in my room for a couple months up to my car today and the protection light came on for a split second, then the green light came on after 15 secs or so of no light at all. It was hella wierd. I tryed it again, and now the red light blinks for a split second but then no lights at all. I can hear the amp turn on, but it has no light or power. I opened it up and didnt see any physical problems with the board (blown fuses, smell, etc...) Any ideas what it might be? Im positive it has nothing to do with RCA's or speaker wire. I know for a fact it is something to do with the Amplifier. Its a Power Acoustik 1.4000D Please no smart comm…

does anyone know if the upgraded Scion tC headunit a 4v or 2v headunit?

I'm going to be doing a big three. I'm going to have 1-2 batteries in the bed of my truck. I've got to wire up the Orion 2500D, which is also going to be in the bed of my truck. Theres gunna be a camper shell over my bed, and the rear window taken out of the cab,and the front window out of the camper shell, and the box/amp/batteries is gunna be in the bed. Should I just buy so much, like 25ft or what? What gauge or gauges should I use? I can't remember what the amp can accept in regards to power wire size.

I wanna run all soundigtial amps and I was wondering were I can get the amplifiers from. thanks a lot guys

Here' s my current setup. Alpine 9885 (4V) Front: CDT CL-62 (160RMS) w/ Soundstream Rubicon 2.600 (180x2 @ 4ohm) Rear: CDT CL-69X (100RMS) w/ Soundstream Rubicon 2.250 (75x2 @ 4ohm) Fi BTL 12" D2, loaded (2000RMS) Soundstream Rubicon 1.2500 (2500 @ 1ohm) I want to add a duplicate set of CL-62 up front. The 2.600 amp is rated for 300x2 @ 2ohms as well. So I assume, wire the crossovers in parallel from the amp. + to + and - to -. That would yield a 2ohm load from the amplifier giving me how many watts per component at 4ohm each?

Today I'm going over to Best Buy to buy a new head unit. I would normally buy from Crutchfield or Amazon but I don't want to mess up my new car. Anyway there were a few different ones that I was looking at and I wanted some opinions on them. Between these two headunits which one would you choose and why? Im trying to decide which one I should get and want to know the pros and cons of both. If you have heard both then that would be great!!!

Trying to get my brother a decent HU with at least 4 volt preouts, ipod combatibility that works and with connector included preferably, and a decent user interface. Needs to be under $160 after shipping. I've looked at just about everything and I'm stuck between these two. A Pioneer Premier DEH-410UB or Clarion CZ500. The only bad thing about the pioneer is it has terrible control reviews (thumbstick very sensitive etc.) which is why I even looked at the clarion. I have no way of knowing (atleast that i know of) to let me know when my HU starts sending out a distorted signal and i dont trust me ears that much. So i was just wondering if anybody has personal experience with this head unit and at what volume it starts to distort. The previous owner told me not to turn it up past 24/35, but i have also heard that some alpine HU's aswell as other high quality HU's will be able to go up to full volume without distortion. Im starting my new build and want to re-do all the gains on my amps so this would take some guess work out of it. Thanks.

I need some new battery terminals for the optima red top under the hood. I currently have some nice tsunami terminals. They have 2 0 gauge inputs and 2 8gauhe inputs. Id like terminals with 3 or 4 0 gauge inputs and 2 8 gauge inputs. Can some hook me up? Help is much appreciated Fellas!

is there a control knob out that alows 2 amps to run off 1 knob? are they better than the factory knobs?
