I'm going to be running 2000 watts constant at 1 ohm to my btl and i was wondering what gauge wire i need to use? I'm guessing 1 gauge but i rather be safe than sorry.

anyone have any opionions about there amps slowly designing a comp system and was looking at the two top amps from them i was also looking at the stetsom 7kd and the cadence zrs 9000d they are all around same power and i can get each at close to same cost if i find a better option i will look into that looking to spend around 1k or less

Right now I have a pioneer DEH-P7000BT and I can get a deal on a new pioneer AVH-P5000DVD. I like the one I have now and its features but I would like a tv but i dont wanna lose the features. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with that in dash tv and would suggest it. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

ive already got the big 3 all done in 1/0 with terminals soldered and all the goods, but im gonna install the alt soon and i was wondering if its necessary to double up on the 1/0 or no? and it says in the paperwork to add another ground from the closest ear on the alt to the frame..is that necessary too or just a good idea?

Hello, i've installed my new(er) system the other day currently i have Optima Yellow top 2 SSA icons 12 2 Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w 2 channel (each sub with their own bridged) 1 Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w 4 channel 2 Kicker DS460 4x6 1 Pioneer DEH-P510UB Will be adding getting 2 Kicker 08KS6930 6x9 1 SoundStorm SX310 crossover if i'm not mistaken the crossover will prevent my mids and highs from "popping" and put a cleaner sound though, right? also is a sound processor needed? i have a decent amount of "road noise" coming though, just enough to bother me. will the processor fix all that? or will the crossover fix it?

I have a quick question concerning the Alpine 9886 headunit. I know it`s not the best to use dynamic bass features such as bass boost, but what about the bass feature that lets your widen your bass (Q0,Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4)? I notice the bass gets noticeably louder when I bring it up the scale towards Q4 but also less accurate, is toying with this feature when playing really loud bad for my woofer or am I good to go?

I've had my setup out of my car for several months now but i still have both 200A solenoids in the car because the input wire is still hot and the fuse for it is in a place that is hard to get to and i'll change it out once i replace my starting battery. Yesterday while I was driving, my amps cut off and today I found out is was my saz1500 causing a short in my remote wire. I pulled it out and looked at the inside and it looks to be some solder in between my remote and ground terminal touching. I've email dbr but I probably won't get a response today because it's Sunday. I was thinking I could just remove the solder but my question is what would cause this to happen and would it happen again?

Ok so i had an AVIC-D3 while back. I liked it i like the Navi more than anything else. Barely watched DVDs on it. And I'm selling my CDA-9887 now. SO its time for a new headunit, preferably double-din. So heres my question. Whats a good Double-Din. I was eyeing the AVIC-Z2 or Z3 but its just too expensive. I've been looking at eclipse and panasonic. Even clarion for a little while but not anymore. Also Alpine has the new IVA-W505 which looks pretty sexy. So if anyone has an idea or suggestion lemme know. Looking for ease of use, good looks, and good navi. excellent sound.

So working for Wal-Mart doesnt exactly leave you with a whole lot of money to spend on quality products, espicially when you are the only one working with a wife and kid. When connecting the batt under the hood to the batt in the back does a fuse need to be used in the power wire or can you just connect front batt to the rear batt?

i am going to be ordering another 18" BTL D2 for a total of 2 BTLS my question is what other electrical upgrades will i need for my next setup i currently have, a stock alternator. that i will be changing to a H/O 300 amp, shuriken BT120 and big 3 done. i am stable at about 14volts to 13.8 at full tilt with my saz-2000D i am planing on selling the Saz-2000D and getting a Stetsom 4K2D amp (open to suggestions on amps also) i am open to any suggestion, i need all the help i can get cuz i dont want anything to go wrong Thanks an advance fellaz

i have been trying to set my amps but am not getting a good reading im always getting 2. some odd volts then when i turn gain up i get OL. i was thinking since my amp is a pg xenon 600.1 that i would not be able to set it because the amp detects the ohms while the speakers are hooked up, i think thats how it works.
