I have been told a LOT of information from 2 different alt specialists about my car so if this were you... what would u do? My car is an 07 scion tC. It uses a special alt that uses a hairpin stator. At this time, there are only these 2 companies that offer alts for this car. The design of the alt itself- it uses square windings to fill more of the gap inside for increased efficiency and to get as most amperage out as possible as well. Does anyone have or have experiance with this CD Deck? I have this deck in my car right now and like it alot. I just bought an iPod online today for my car being the deck has a USB connection. Anyone running an iPod in their car? How does it work? Can you control it from the deck?

i can get the clarion for about 200 and the pioneer for about 300. is it worth goin for the pioneer? its my first active set up. i could afford some better speakers if i get the clarion... and i really like the look on the clarion for some reason... idk why...

Yesterday while I was driving, my amps cut off and today I found out is was my saz1500 causing a short in my remote wire. I pulled it out and looked at the inside and it looks to be some solder in between my remote and ground terminal touching. I've email dbr but I probably won't get a response today because it's Sunday. I was thinking I could just remove the solder but my question is what would cause this to happen and would it happen again?

I've had my setup out of my car for several months now but i still have both 200A solenoids in the car because the input wire is still hot and the fuse for it is in a place that is hard to get to and i'll change it out once i replace my starting battery. So, after doin some lookin at line drivers, it seems they are worthless to use if the goal is to achieve higher SPL for burps but... i have another goal. When i do bassrace or driveby, or longterm musical playback at non-sanctioned shows, i run in a fully clipped signal because my 7,000w still isnt enough for the subs i'm running... I have a 4v preout ran to 2 sub amps and 1 Sundown 100.4. I was curious if i were to ever add a line driver and boost the signal up a little bit(amps accept up to 8v) if i could lower the gain in hopes to prevent the coils from heating up as quick? Right now I have a pioneer DEH-P7000BT and I can get a deal on a new pioneer AVH-P5000DVD. I like the one I have now and its features but I would like a tv but i dont wanna lose the features. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with that in dash tv and would suggest it. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

so i called to see how much everything was gonna cost plus the 3yr warranty and they said they were all sold out but the website said they werent....anyways they said they should have some more in a couple of weeks,i knew that was gonna happen with them having that price on that x889....now i dont know if i should wait to see if they get more or if i should just pay the extra $50 that the closest other store has it at.....but then again the 8445 is around that same price so i dont know now,dammitt everytime i make a decision something happends....grrrrrr LOL

when my car is on and my alternator charges the battery to whatever volts, do the max amp or watts have an effect on performance. or do these numbers only apply to when you play the stereo with the engine off? im thinking of getting more audio equipment and want to keep light dimming to a bare minimum. right now on jsut a 1200 watt amp for my sub and the stock JBL amp i only get .1-.2v voltage drops. i dont plan to upgrade the stock 80amp alternator anytime soon but am thinking of getting an XS or Kinetik under the hood since my interstate keeps losing its charge after about every 6 months give or take. also i have the big three done

I have tried to read as much as possible to educate my self on the power needed to feed my 1000 watt peak system. It seems like the wisest first step would be to upgrade my alternator, then add a second deep cycle battery with a high ah rating and enough amps to supply the power. I have searched for high amp alternators for my 1991 omc ford 2.3 liter ford engine but I am told they dont exist. One person sugested haveing it worked on by a alternator shop and having them install a higher output kit . I would love to have a separate battery or two that I charge in between boat trips dedicated specificlly for the audio and leave the boat operating system alone. TO play my sys…

Hello Im knew to the forum and a newbie and need some help. I got all wires connected besides 3 on the Scosche harness(orange with black line saying dimmer ground)(black with silver line saying amplifier grond)(all black saying chassis ground) 2 on the Pioneer harness(blue with a white line silver spots with a tag saying system remote control)(black with silver spots,seems to be twice as long as the others) Do I twist all 3 wires from the Scosche harness to gether and hook it to the 1 long black with silver spots wire from the Pioneer harness? i have been trying to set my amps but am not getting a good reading im always getting 2. some odd volts then when i turn gain up i get OL. i was thinking since my amp is a pg xenon 600.1 that i would not be able to set it because the amp detects the ohms while the speakers are hooked up, i think thats how it works.

I'm looking at getting a headunit to play my ipod and cds. I don't want bluetooth, or anything else like that. Having an aux input could come in handy if I want to plug in my phone (blackberry) and play music off that. i am going to be ordering another 18" BTL D2 for a total of 2 BTLS my question is what other electrical upgrades will i need for my next setup i currently have, a stock alternator. that i will be changing to a H/O 300 amp, shuriken BT120 and big 3 done. i am stable at about 14volts to 13.8 at full tilt with my saz-2000D i am planing on selling the Saz-2000D and getting a Stetsom 4K2D amp (open to suggestions on amps also) i am open to any suggestion, i need all the help i can get cuz i dont want anything to go wrong Thanks an advance fellaz
