to push a mtx thunder 6000 @ at least 250rms at 4 ohms as a midbass driver, are either of these amps over rated? also anybody else know something that would fit the bill for $110 or less?

So I am attempting to install my upgraded alternator and big 3 this is a first time for me with both situations. Everyone from here has been super helpful so I was hoping you can bail me out since my car is in pieces. I have currently removed the original alt and put the singer alt in that I purchased. I have not connected any wires yet this is where my confusion has started. I have located my grounding wire from engine to battery and will upgrade it which is one of the big three. The other day, my subwoofer suddenly cut out and I traced the issue to my subwoofer pre-outs on my Kenwood DDX-319 head unit. Troubleshooting done so far: No AC voltage comes out of the subwoofer pre-outs on the head unit at all Connecting the sub amp's RCAs to the rear pre-out produces sound from the sub (ruling out that it is my amp or subwoofer) There is no resistance (0 ohms) between my pre-out grounds and the case of the head unit (leading me to believe it is not simply a blown fuse in the head unit) Everything else on the head unit functions as intended My head unit is out of warranty by a couple months. Cruising around and bam battery light. Checked voltage, amp terminals, alt post, and batts. All checked out. Cranked the bass, voltage was dropping to 11.9 when the day before just dropped to 13.2. I have a dual alt kit. I unplug my primary and boom 12.9. I gotta check a few fuses and relays but I believe it just died completely. It's a tenney 270amp but I'm gonna probably get mechman or someone to rebuild it. If not ill grab me a hairpin 380!!!! Kinda sucks cause I was about to buy an iPad to glass into my dash.

would anyone know how much more on average you can increase the output of a stock alternator just by doing a rewind. i added a second battery which is not much. the second battery is my old battery that is a stock from upfront in the engine bay. i have the 130amp alternator from a 2003 highlander, just need to get to 200A output but i know each alternator is different and will not be able to get much more out of it. thanks to all that can help me

Hello, I have a '12 mustang with the factory head unit and I want to power the door speakers and a sub. Is there a way to do this without replacing the head unit? My air controls are integrated into the same panel and there are no aftermarket options for me that look nice, and did I mention the faceplates are $300 and up? not including the double din I think a line output converter would be the normal solution but how do you get 3 sigals out of one?

Hey all I have a pioneer gm-5300t amp that Ive had for years and bought some new incriminator i65c and was curious if i should use this amp.. Toyota tundra with stock alt, hid lights, 100rms x 2 channel on the doors and 1300rms on the sub. I'm looking into buying a new battery for under the hood because there is no place to install a second battery in my truck with still a fully functional bed and max seating. I was looking at the kinetic 1800 or 2200. Not sure how big I need to go but I'm pretty sure I can squeeze just about as large of a battery as I could find in the stock location.

Im building a sealed enclosure for my 2 15" Obsidians that's gonna be about 4 Cu Ft. after displacement. I plan on using my Hifonics Zeus 2000 which has a subsonic filter on it which for my ported enclosure I set about 5 Hz under my Box tuning. There's no option to turn the Subsonic filter off so I'm wondering what exactly I should set it at when using it for a sealed enclosure. Sorry if this lacks detail I'm unsure how/what to base setting it off of so I'm not sure what else to include.

Looking for advice tuning my new deck. I have a Pioneer DEH 80prs, a Soundqubed 1200d running at 1 ohm with 2 12" alpine type x subs. I have my low pass filter set at 80hz on my deck but I don't know where to set my low pass filter at on my amp? I was told to just turn it up out of the frequency range of my subs but idk if that's right. Bass boost is at 0 and the subsonic filter at 10hz. Gain is at nominal power. I have my subwoofer level on my deck set to 0db. The crossover slope it at 18db. Automatic sound levelizer at high and source level adjuster at 0. Graphic equilizer is flat.

Well yesterday i bought a Eclipse avn5500 for 25 bucks. Well after a quick call to eclipse to make sure it wasnt stolen i got bored and decided to hook it up in my truck. Well after I booted it up it said insert map disk.. well that's where i am stuck I am finding them on ebay for about 100 bucks any body have a spare floating around? Also what is the opinions of this H/u?

im looking into adding lights under my dash and posibly around my sub/amp in the future. i remmeber seeing somewhere on here that u can buy an adapter/distributor/divider that you would hook one end up to power (bus bar, distibution block ect.) and from there it divides into say 10 different slots that you could connect small gauge wires too and fuse them. anybody have any idea what im talking about/any idea where i could get my hands on one?

I have a dc level 4 (with atomic magnet) on an apk 2500.1 amp. When I play songs with high bass notes like Versace-Drake the amp cuts out and protects itself and stays in protect until I restart my car. I was wondering your guys Input on this problem as of right now I'm at a loss for ideas. I've tested all my wires and they all have power I have a extra battery on top of a 20 farad capacitor so power should not be a problem at all

I may be buying a pretty much brand new DD m2b from a friend. I already have a Crescendo BC2000D. Would it be worth keeping the DD and selling my BC? Or just keep the BC and get the money from the DD?

Hey guys, I've got 0 gauge wire running the length of my vehicle, but my amp accepts up to 4. I slapped on some reducers and realized they were too close for comfort, so I heat shrink tubed each post. Although they're on there very solidly, they're still sketching me out a bit. What do you guys think? Should I go for some distribution blocks or something instead? Been a pain in the rear. Running ~1500w Pics:
