How does everyone like their sundown amps? I've always heard good things but would rather ask here where I'm sure many have them right now.

right now, i have 2 12" kicker CVRs, in a ported box, with a kenwood 600w amp. i had a xplod 1000w, but when it got too hot, it cut off and i couldnt do anything.but the kenwood still cuts out, but i can keep listening but at a low volume. but i went to the pawn today, and i found a few bigger amps... which would be the best? Almani 1500w Class "D" Kenwood 800w (mines kenwood 600w) Infinity 1600w Power Acoustic 1600w kenwood looks real small, the power acoustic is the biggest in size,if any of that matters, and almani sounds good with its class "d" thing, and is second biggest in size. but i dunno what that means.

Quick question since I can't find the answer myself. The A5000 is rated at 600x1 (bridged) a 4 ohms. Will it work ok bridged at 2 ohms? I know the old Sound Stream Reference (Ref500) amps would be ok like this. I have 0 experience with Cadence amps though. What do you think?

  6. I have a alpine PDX F6 & amp; M6 and they have been working great since I installed them a few weeks ago. Yesterday I tried to make a call via bluetooth and it sent the F6 into protection. Turned the head unit on and off amp resets and comes back on, now I can not turn the volume up with out the amp going into protection. The bluetooth is what has me the most stumped. Any help on where to start trouble shooting would be great. Thanks

Hello i recently purchased 2 of the power acoustics 55001d amps to power 4 SSAicon 15's. turns out the amps are complete garbage and i wish i never got them. anyways i'm sending one back to either get store credit or sell both on craigslist to purchase one of the 2 models of hifonics ( heard they are better then they used to be) and for the price i cant beat it. 1 amps per 2 subs. so my question is the subs are approx 1000w rms and the BXi 2010d should be baseline for the subs. but is it worth the extra $120 per amp worth it for the extra 600w (BXi 2610d)? also if anybody has firsthand experiance with these amps your feedback is greatful.

Mainly im looking for a comparison between the Shuriken and the Kinetik. which would you buy? prices are close enough for that to not be a factor. Both are 2600 amps which is why im comparing them!! Any input would be nice! thanks! let the replies come

i just hooked my system up, and every now and then, when i have it turned up, both my amps shut down, like the remote was coming undone at the deck. deck stays on and all, amps dont give me protect lights they just turn off for a few seconds and come back on (not always off for the same length of time) my electrical system is all stock, i believe its only a 105 amp alternator, 4 gauge wire back to the distributor, and 8 gauge to the amps. any ideas?

  15. Is changing passive crossover same as changing headunit EQ? like i have a 9 band parametric EQ on my alpine 164-bt. and i have alpine spr 60c component speakers. the highs are very harsh. and im debating attempting to mess with my doors to edit the crossover. i have absolutely no clue what im doing with it. and dont want to risk much. i cannot find any videos for the year my car is. i have 2013 hyundai elantra coupe. only video i saw was for a 2005 elantra, 4 door. mine is a 2 door also and many years later. and about the passive crossover. i cant find any pictures only or guides on how to change and edit the crossover? what exactly is an EQ changing…

The new series x14 hifonics amps have been out for almost a year from what I've seen online with very few reviews... I have an fi bl 15 on the way estimated "wed 24th" and picked up a x14 1500.1d then later returned it because the bl can take much more power if properly tuned. Some say you can tell how powerful the amp actually is by the guts or fuses, to me it seems almost in comparison with the high end amplifiers. And any information or opinions on this subject would be greatly appreciated. The high end amplifiers put me out of my price range for the build reason I ask.

Hello, everyone. I am admitting to being a newb at this stuff but hey, everyone was, at once, one as well lol I had a couple RE SX12's hooked up to a 1600W amp in my last car with a 105 amp alternator and they sounded amazing but it was hooked up with no electrical upgrades, not even big 3, so the lights dimmed out when the bass hit. I have bought a used car now and the alternator is most likely between 80-105 amps and my new amp is 2400W (Hifonics BRZ2400.1D - latest model). I am also debating between a DC Audio level 4XL 15, level 5 15, AA mayhem 15 or even an 18 of any of those. I know they are all amazing woofers but I dont know which one would perform optimally with …

Well I have finally gotten around to using the MB Quart PXD-213, I have had them sealed in box brand new for 6 years now. Fantastic product just never used them. The question I am having is this and it may sound like a noob issue so please be gentle. I have a phenix gold 250.2 running them, have 12 gauge speaker wire in lengths less than 3 feet from amp to crossover, now I don't understand the installation diagram cause the damn thing is in german. or deutsh. so here is the issue, it says to run biwire from the amp into the low input and the high input, I have them wired just to the high input from amp and they sound phenomenal. now the issue is this at high volum…

I want to put 4 of these under my car for now. I wired up my sub and mono amp, but when it comes to finding a multi-channel amp I have no idea what to look for. I know that the horns can handle 150w and they are 8-ohms so two of them wired together should equal 4ohms. So if I have 4 horns that means I need a amp that does 300x2 at 4ohms right? My main problem is that most amps that say 300x2 at 4ohms say bridged and I'm a noob and don't know what bridged means that is what I need help with. Ok. Got a brand new Audiopipe aqx-1800d (NOT the popular AP series. The new "better" ones.) It's in a less than optimal install which consists of 4-gauge wire that's only fused for 80 amps and just an upgraded starting battery. I set the gains pretty low and it was just fine. No voltage drop or anything. Then it sat in the car overnight exposed to the elements (read: heat) and all kinds of crazy shit happened. It kinda falls asleep at low volume, and by that I mean it cuts off completely no protect light. If I play it loud and it heats up it cuts off then too, with no protect light then either. It seems like it comes back on when it cools off but it just cut off again an…

After getting it all in there, I fired up the truck and no voltage showed up. I put the stocker back in there and opened up the black plastic cover on the new one and discovered the stators all bent up from shipping. Whatta bummer!!!! I called up Nate, told him the deal, the new one went back to him today for sameday turn around when he gets it. He w…
