Well im going to be purchasing a 12'' Fi BL im going ported tuned to about 32hz, So i want to feed it about 1000w due to my stock electrical. Dont care if its a 1Ohm amp or 2 Ohm because i havent ordered the sub yet.. I figured id start with the amp so i have more options. Im really trying to stay under 300..250 if possible Hifonics? I was talking to a member here who had a 12 bl hooked up to a POWER ACOUSTIK BAMF-2000/1D, who loved it.. So any help id appriciate it.

Ok so here is my delemma. I just installed a crunch gp3000pro (new) and 12" btl (new), however the amp has no output. It powers on but that is all. I tried switching amps, no change. I tried a different sub and nothing. I changed rca cables and once again nothing. The head unit is a pioneer 980BT. The head unit is new also, but could this be the cause of my problem, or maybe wiring? I have a four channel hooked up as well and it works fine. The sub is d2 wired in parallel to 1 ohm which i checked as well. I am running out of ideas on what to troubleshoot so any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Ok so I was on my way home from work and my sub stopped hitting so I pulled over immediately got out and looked to see what was wrong. My amp was in protection so I made sure my headunit was completely off and turn my car off and back on again. I went back and checked and the amp wasnt it protection but there was no power light either. I popped the hood and looked at the fuse for my power wire and it was blown. So I changed out that one with a spare one i had. As soon as I turned the car again the inline fuse blew again. Can someone help me? What is making it do this? hey guys i just orderd a SSA xcon 15 and i am wondering if there are any other amps beside sundown that is worth buying because i do not have the money for a sundown amp. i was looking at hifonics and they have 1500 RMS amps at 1ohm for 200$ are they any good or can you guys give me any ideas on what other amps that are good for less money. please let me know. Okay guys, My wife has been beggin me to get her new truck (2007) silverado Crew to sound similar to my old S-10. In the S-10 I had a downfiring box with Solobaric S10D's 4ohm running mono on a US 1000X Some might say it was a little overkill but I had it turned down and was probaly one of the cleanest systems that I had herd (Yes I know just my preference) I also had MB Quart Q's for mids and Highs running off a PPI PCX280 which I still have the Quarts and the PPI. well i got my sub in today for my little mini build im doing and now i need to decide what amp i should go with to power it. the sub is a Fi SSD 12 D1 with BP cooling. I was thinking of running around 900-1000 rms to it at 2 ohms. So the question is what amp would you guys think would be good for this? The budget on this isn't much. probably around 200-225. thanks

Ok so today i was resetting the gain on my Sundown Audio SAZ-2000D. I was using a 50hz tone using a dmm. I realized that once the gain was turned up to a certain point it started to make a weird humming sound. I could hear it from inside of the amp on the side closest to where the settings are. Any ideas of what it may be? The 50hz tone I have repeats in 10 second intervals. I can only hear this humming sound from the amp during the 10 seconds. And yes I'm not hearing the noise coming from the speakers inside. Why does the amp only make this sound when the gain reaches a certain point?

hey guys i have a power aucoustik amp 4 channel and its in protect and its not the wireing or anything cause we hooked up a different amp in its same location and that one works fine. i opend the power aucoustik amp and nothing looks out of place but maybe there could be something wrong of the other side of the board you cant see ? ill have to check that but i dont know if i want to completly remove the whole case so i can see the other side. im not using this amp but my friend is counting on useing it is there anything i can do , it was working fine and he called me to his house and it was on protect the fuse was blown put in a new fuse still in protect .

I have a JX1000/1d and when ever I start my car it works fine green light and music bumpin. I turn the car off to take the bar off, turn it back on and its in protect and wont turn green unless I wait a long time. It only works first start up, I checked the ohms coming from the sub and its a steady 2.0 and also took all the wiring off the amp and put it back on, still nothing. Really pissed off Iv checked everything I can think, anybody have this prob before?

well need some rateing and opions on a PG ZX350 and a MEI DA7400 both are 4ch just looking for a low cost 4ch and both of these are $100 trying to get 120-150 RMS at 2 ohms. thanks mc

Have mb quart component speakers (front stage) w/ external crossovers. My head unit powered these front speakers. Standard install, the speaker wire from my crossovers were spliced into my harness. i clipped the speaker wire. For testing purposes only i spliced more speaker wire to run back to my amp. I put the right speaker in the right channel and the left etc. Pulled out my head unit, and setup my rca's and ran them to the amp. Tested both sets of rca's in teh back of my head unit and no workie. Power and ground was simple, I already had a distro block and T connector for my ground. the 2500 has two ground and two power inputs that both need to be filled.. how do i do this? getting a second ground is obviously easy, but how can i run a second power wire? do i just get a distrib block? i have a grand cherokee with a stock 160 amp alt. im gonna run 0 ga instead of the 4 i have now.. how do you think i will do as far as power is concerned? electrical risk? i was thinking about just getting a new battery, is it possible to just hook it up as my start up battery or am i better off to run it to the back.. im trying to save money so i would rather not run it back.

I recently upgraded amps from a cheap boss audio and got a sound stream 6000ld, its a 3000 rms amp and i had a 800 rms amp previously but the sound stream sounds weaker than the old cheap amp, can someone tell me why that might be?

im having a little problem with my amp. right now i have a sundown saz-2000d hooked up to two 18" dc xl's at .5 ohms until i can afford a better amp and get more batteries to support the extra power. but so far the amp is doing alright except at times the amp will go into protect only when i turn it up. it doesnt happen all the time and whenever it happens its random, meaning it sometimes will go into protect the moment the bass hits when turned up or sometimes after a whole song has played through full tilt. right now my electrical is a 250 amp alt with the big 3 done in 1/0 gauge wire and an xs power d3400 under the hood with a d3100d in the back all with 1/0 gauge wire…

Made a video to show everyone whats its doing. The amp has been hooked up and running fine for a couple weeks now. Out of no where the amp starts cutting in and out today. When it does, it goes into protect mode. I checked every wire from the battery back and all are good. I even pulled the headunit and checked all connections there too. So here is what happens: Amp cutting in and out while I was running errands today. So I turned the radio off until I go home. When I got home I pulled out all my tools and DMM and checked everything. Recently purchsed a Crossfire vr1000d, hooked it up today and it turns on then about 10 seconds later makes a click sound then switches to protect and right back to power. And does this non stop, Does this mean the amp i have bought is blown? It even does it with just the power, grnd, and remote wire hooked up. To my understanding if it was blown it'd be a solid into protect

Okay this probably isn't the right place to ask this but please help out. I have a soundstream Rubicon 1600 amplifier. The protection light comes on for like five seconds and then the amp works ccompletely fine. Any suggestions why this is happening? Is this gonna be okay on the amp or will it eeventually die on me?

I hooked up a system for my buddy a year or so ago.. Just 1 Treo 12 and an audio pipe ap1500. Stock electrical. All has been good till yesterday.. His stock battery took a shut so he replaced it. Called me up to help him adjust the deck back where it was. I went through it and when I began turning it up the ampoules cuts out. Goes into protect for about 4 seconds and keeps on playing for another 5 seconds or so and does it again UNTILL I turn it down. I lowered the gain a little bit out of curiosity but same thing.. What can be causing this? Where do I start? This was a used amp when he bought it on CL so maybe the Amps taking a shit? Any help is appreciated.
