well i have all my measurements on my mdf and i have chualk glue screws and and the stuff i need.. but i have a skill saw or whatevers,is there anything that u prefer that i should use beside a skill saw cuz i dont know if theres certian saws that will make it look better or anything like that.. what do yall think?

i just bought a crossfire vr-2000d that was apparently modded to handle high voltages and .5 ohm loads. well, today i hooked it up just to see if it worked, and to my dismay, it wasnt as loud turned up 2/3 of the way as my nine.1 was at 2/3. this amp should do more than twice the power of the nine.1 so im a little confused. it does play, bass sounds fine, its just not loud. i have both power supplies hooked up, a 1/0 gauge from my battery going back to a dist. block into 2 4 gauge wires, and just 2 4 gauges at the back grounding the power supplies. my electrical system is very solid, and both power supplies are getting 14.5 volts. the remote wires are both getting about 1…

alright, I have 4 guage wiring right now, not installed. and there is some 1/0 on here I was considering buying, but if I dont need it then why spend more money. I am going to do the big 3 in 4 gauge, there will be a run of probably 8+ feet to a D block under my seat where a 4ch amp will sit. it will enter a D block, and leave as 8 gauge to the 2ch. another run of 4 will leave the D block and make a trip of about 6+ feet to the sub amp behind the rear seat. I am going to set the gain on the sub amp at 800 watts, and not sure whats happening with the front stage, but worst case scenario - rear channels will be 100x2 and fronts 75x2. so Ill be pushing 1150 watts at the mos…

I want a new Head Unit and i've seen this idea done before on SMD.. i didn't stick around to see it through though. I'm concerned about the fact my system might not be capable of being powered by an iPad. I'd have my dash fiberglassed for a nice fit. What would the PROS and CONS be? the amp arrived today, and I just fooled around with the buttons until I came up with something that sounded good. Between the Pioneer DEH-80etc. and this there's a lot more tweaking than in the old days! I have 4 sets of comps, one in each door so they're all identical. I also have a matching crossover box for each comp with sep. cables going to tweet & 6.5 mid. I do NOT want to bridge this. A buddy had a Nitro 2000W Amp hooked up to 2 10 inch Rockford HX2's (2210 Model) and I sayed I dont even think those subs felt the amp at all but he says its 2-Ohm stable and so I looked up the AMP on E-Bay and u can grab this amp for about a 125.00 bucks w/shipping! I say its garbage! Anyone else had experience with this amp? Thanks

Hey all.Things have changed recently so im not going to be able to do the big system I wanted.I was wondering if I were to buy 2 12" SSA Icons and power them with a AQ 2200,would I need a HO Alternator?I was planning on also buying a Kinetik HC 1800 for a extra battery in the back and a Kinetik HC 800 for under the hood.Im not 100% sure how big my stock alt is but im prety sure its between 100-125 amps.Any info or advice would be much appreciated.Thanks.

alright so theres a problem that bothers the hell out of me I want an amp I am stuck between the sundown saz-1500d and the audioque aq2200d. the audioque does 2200 at 14.4v Im aware that that it would be almost impossible for me to keep that voltage .SO my main question is which one to get does anyone know what the audioque will put out at like 12.5 to 13 volts thanks for the help guys.

About week ago while my truck was running and my music was playing my girlfriend opened my passenger door and my speakers started to hum. I seen the same problem with my friends amp "Foxmoto" and tried alot of things like changing my wiring, RCA's and my grounds about 5 or 6 times now and nothing seems to work. I have checked all the electrical and the readings are all normal. Any suggestions?

I'm going to be installing a stereo for my buddy in his JDM 1991 Mitsubishi J53 Jeep Turbo Diesel. The original radio was AM/FM with push in pre-set buttons (reminded me of my dad's old '67 Ford Galaxy 500XL Convertible). He's got some marine 6.5 coaxial speakers/pods he's mounting on the roll bar behind the driver and passenger's seats. The electrical is 24V (2 batteries wired in series). He bought a cheap no-name bluetooth media player and a 24V/12V converter. I know the fused "constant" wire from the stereo will connect to the 24V/12V converter but where do I get the 12V for the "ACC" ignition and remote/antenna wires from? So recently I had to reset all of my settings in my HU (see sig). I'm now wondering. What is up with all the intense as hell stuff i can set. Idk what any of it does really. main point. This HU is seemingly more SQ oriented that I thought it was. Not a bad thing. It sounds great. But i'm wondering if their are any general tips to make anything else sound better. Im looking for suggestions on powering a single Morel Ultimo 10" 4 ohm subwoofer, preferably 2 channel that will give me sufficient power at 4 ohms bridged. that seems to me like the most cost efficient and effective way to go. My budget would be in the 300 to 600 dollar range. so far i have been looking at the ARC ks 300.2 Any suggestions will be helpful.
