Well it was probably a waste of time / money but here's the new toy to test out... suppose to handle 17 volts and do 5k++watts... we'll see... I'll be doing some bench testing this week (and yes just testing I have no intention of keeping the amp, unless it suprises me) some pics

So I need to buy a battery for my 2012 Fusion. I wanted to buy the XS XP3000 but I came across these batts on ****. I can get 2 of these for the price of 1 XP3000. Which would you guys choose? The Discovers are 2.5 years old they say but are in excellent working order. I have a 150A alt in it already. Well the title says it all, I havge been surfing a while now and found MANY amplifiers that match my budget and wishes for power. Now the question becomes what amplifier will make me speakers give out the best SQ possible. Ok, I'm making myself look stupid asking this, because I pretty much know the answer, (no). But, what if I do multiple runs of 12 gauge wire from the battery to the amplifier? The 12 gauge wire I have is from Sears, I have 500 feet of it, it says it handles 600V if that matters at all. Anyways, my real question is, how many runs of 12 gauge wire should I use to power the amplifier? It's gonna be running at 4 ohms, possibly 1 ohm later, it's rated to do 750 RMS at 4 ohms, 1500 RMS at 2 ohms, and it's 'unstable' at 1 ohm, but these are the same amplifiers Steve Meade used before he got his new ones, and he ran them at 1 ohm just fine after removing a certain diode, which I …

Sooo... I took advantage of the black today sale and I ordered a xcon18" D2. And I can either get the new sundown 1500D ($400 shipped NEW). Or find a new 2000D ($? Used/refurb). What would you recomend? (Based solely on either 250 over or under...) im not to worried about the little price difference if there is one. I think that im leaning towards the 2000d . So I've been pondering the idea for a while, but now I've started to putting it in real sense. I would like to take all my audio/video source into one media source. Now, I'm aware of people placing "Carputer"s into their vehicle, I guess in a sense, this is what I would like to do, but not 100%. I would still like to keep a 7" DVD unit as the headunit and the brains of my vehicle. Currently, I have the Pioneer 4300DVD, but I also have my eye on the Clarion NX702. Either system supports many ways to go about extending its media source. So currently, I've been using my ipod for the most of my music, and music videos. well im lookin for a new amplifier i have a crappy one at the moment i got it free thats the only reason i have it. theres this jbl amp ive been lookkin at its 400 watts ? idk much bout jbl and i was gonna ask for yalls opinions .. i also was lookin at a rockford fosgate or memphis... the memphis is only 150 watts its a 2 channel amp..i want more power than that whats yalls opinions? i want enough power so i can keep the amp for a while cuz ill be upgradin subs sooner or later.. and i dont want to have to purchase amps over and over again

Audioque has been working on a new project that they may be deciding to release this spring of 2010! It will either be one or 2 different 10kd models but this is what he has said- Pricing will still be fair and cheap based on current models pricing. This 10,000w amp is stated to be rated at 10,000w @1ohm in between 12-14.4v @1%THD. There will also be a 20,000w rated @18v. This monsterous amp will have 3 sets of 1/0 PWR\GND terminals. So i bought a Shuriken bt-120 and i just have a few basic hook up questions. I have the 0 gauge and the HO alternator ready. so should i just replace my starter battery with the shuriken? if not, how do i hook up the two? and if i do stick the shuriken in the back, i need a battery isolater correct??? thanks

also if i turn the music up to loud the volts drop way to much and my amp will go into protect i have a 250 amp alternator and a optima redtop under the hood and 2 deka intimidators in the trunk and a sundown 3000d im guessing the problem is the red top what do you guys think

I was reading some of the threads here and I noticed a lot of you really don't like Hifonics. I just bought the BXI1206D and ZXI6406. I know exactly why most of you hate them, looking at your set ups (very expensive) i can totally understand why. Noticed a lot of Sundown Audio fans here. All i have to say is that they are beautiful amps, I would love to have one but with 2 kids and the budget i'm on i just couldn't afford it yet. I do hope my Hifonics can serve me well for the time being until i can afford better stuff. Just wondering, what do you all think of Elemental Designs amps (nine.1, nine.4 and nine.5)?

who uses it? whered you get it and for how much? i need to order some power wire, 1/0 or 2/0, maybe bigger, i dont know yet. its for my 16v batteries, alt, and my soundstream xxx10000. should i run welding wire? or get nice caraudio 1/0? ive been reading about both, and its like 50/50...some like welding, some say it sucks. i dont know which i should buy. Ok, so I'll try to keep this explanation short but informative. I have a JL 450/4 and Rockford Fosgate T20001BD. I have a NTB batter in the front...just regular battery. Going from that battery is two 4 gauge power wires. Those go into an isolator. From there the wries each have a 100amp fuse and run to the back of the car to a Optima Yellow Top. The Yellow Top is grounded 1ft. from itself to the car chassis. I have a remote wire going from the Head Unit to the back of the car.
