just was wondering if i should by this capacitor i was looking at. OK... So here is my dilemma. Ive got 2 - 15inch SX series RE audio subs in my room at the moment. Im in need of an amp capable of producing ATLEAST 2000 rms (true power not rated) and made the sad mistake of purchasing the power acrapstik 5500D rated at a rediculous 3200RMS but im not even able to pull 1KW off it by the sounds of it. I guess ile eat the cost of the current amp but what do you guys think of the MA audio 4000D's? My old amp was a rackmount amp from MA and felt like it did near rated pushing my two bostons and i was fairly pleased with the clean output. So heres what it comes down too... I just got my aq2200d 3days ago. As im tuning it today, it was hitting pretty hard. How come it just shut off. I turned my car off and back on, and there was just a red light saying its in protect mode, and now the amp wont even turn on at all!

I'm looking for a new Alpine and I'm considering the CDA-9885 for $280 or the CDA-9887 for $330. $50 more get's me the Imprint Sound and 24bit Dac. What's everyone's opinion on the Imprint technology? And what improves when going from a 1bit DAC to a 24bit DAC?

I have a 99 Siverado LT 5.3. I upgraded big 3, 220 amp alternator, 2 extra kinetik 1800's, running 0 ga wire. I only have a rockford T10001bd,pushing 2 T110's, and a rockford T600-4 running MB quarts 5.25 in kick panel and 6.5 mid bass in doors. Lights still dim when bass hits going down the road. I don't know what else to upgrade to get it to stop. All grounds seem to be good. I was looking to upgrade, that's the reason for 2 kinetiks, but if lights dim with what I have it will go black if I upgrade. Any help on what could be going on. Thanks

Hey everybody! I've narrowed down which subs I want thanks to the help from members of the board, so thank you to those people! I will be running 2 15" AA Mayhems. Now for the amp(s), I would like to run 1 amp as opposed to 2. I was refered by one of my friends to check out the Cadence ZRS-C6...any input on this amp? A friend of mine owns a shop and they those amps run for around $1599 (Canadian). He also told me about the Earthquake PH10000D which retails for $1299 (Canadian). Any input on this amp? Also, if there are any other amps I should keep in mind around the 5000-6000wrms @ 1 ohm range, please inlighten me! Thanks, Andrew

So something has gone wrong with my system and I am not sure exactly what it is... My setup is... -12" Icon -AQ 1200d; installed with 1/0 gauge wire and then 12 gauge for the speaker wire. -MY car is a 2000 Jetta VR6 and the alternator is stock.. it's either 90a or 120a but i'm not sure -I am using the AQ gain knob and I have a stinger volt meter.. I had everything installed at a local shop and it was VERY LOUD.. it was so loud that I was afraid to even push it for the little time it was working right, so I don't think any problems have been caused by listening to it too loud. if we bridge a stereo amp does the impedance of the amp change? does the amp being bridged change the final impedance to the subs? as an example would 2 4ohm SVC subs wired in parallel be seen as a 1ohm load by a bridged amp?

So I just bought an Acura RSX-S, im wondering if I should use the bose system or buy a component set. To being, I have a some nice equipment in my room that I have NOT gotten to use yet.. sax 100.4 saz2500.1D DD 9515g DD 9512g I plan on getting some sort of double din TV with 4-5 volt rca outputs, decent crossover, and decent eq. I think I'll end up using the 2500 and the 9512g in the hatch.. but as far as my mids/highs.. Im not so sure what to do. The bose system sounds good, but I think it distorts past half on the volume knob. Maybe I will be able to tune it better with the aftermarket tv? I have a rockford fosgate t1500-1bdcp amp and a ascendant havoc sub wired to 1 ohm. My amp will get very hot even when the music is very quiet. Also when i turn up the volume loud my sub will make a popping sound. The gain is turned all the way down, and i also have a stock alternator. Any help will be appreciated.

I was just wondering if 4 of these batteries will be good for a car audio system. 2,000 watts RMS? This is the only best battery that I can fine in my own town. I may be buying a pretty much brand new DD m2b from a friend. I already have a Crescendo BC2000D. Would it be worth keeping the DD and selling my BC? Or just keep the BC and get the money from the DD?

I'm a little bit confused about how to wire the RCA's. They have basically 6 sets of preamp outputs with some labeled mid, highs but also some sets labeled positive and negative. The manual isn't too detailed about using the pro setup except to connect all of them. I am going to be running tweets and mids up front and mids in the back. Plus a sub(which it has 2 pairs of outputs to as well for some reason). I will post some pix if necessary. Thanks for any help you guys can provide. I just got my pioneer 80prs installed in my Malibu yesterday. Love it! I see pioneer put up a few YouTube vids of how to operate. Basically there is a switch on the unit itself for a standard mode or network mode. Network seems to open a lot of features up according to reviews. I am NOT running active, but would love more features to tinker with. Anyone have any specific knowledge of these 2 modes? I don't want to remove the deck to change the switch if its not needed for my setup. Any info needed please ask

question is if im runnning stock alt, big 3 done, and a freshly new crescendo bc2000d pushing a fi bl 15,at 1 ohm. if i get a kinetik battery would it solve dimming problems on a stock alt or should i cut my losses with that idea and save a bit more for my sweet 270 amp mechman alt.

I'm looking for a HU with a super clean look that has a decent amount of EQ capability, can take an aux source (planning on installing a carputer) plays cd's and has some good bass management. i did a test to see which amp was harder hitting i ran the Crossfire Vr 1000d @ 2ohm through my PaP 15" MOAB = 500watts i ran the PPi Dcx 1000d @ 2ohm through my PaP 15" MOAB = 500watts i set the gain on both amps @ 1/2 or center or Noon... all settings on HU were left as Daily, subs crossed to 100Hz & down / 0gain or flat the Crossfire was weak to say the least... had to crank the HU to 25 to get any thing to shake the PPi on the other hand was Dominant as i only got to 8 on the HU and noticed the stuff on my walls in my guradge was shaking @ 12 on the HU the bass was well above pounding... the Crossfire Vr 1000d got guess ill put it in my Girlfriends truck on a …
