Narrowed head unit selection to 3 choices.. Clarion vz409 Alpine 9887 Alpine ida-x305 Opinions on these 3? really liking the clarion on sale for $379.. although the 9887/ida-x305 can be had for $265 Will be running 2 ED amps, ed 9.65 comps and a 13A sub ported at 30hz

What exactly does this do to the amp? Also are the prices listed on the website the actual prices? I've never looked into these amps before, and they look real nice!! Ive been looking at the Duece amp, heard nothing but great things about them.

I have an alpine CDA-9853. I'm not sure what would be the best way to set it up. The crossover has front/rear/sub, I'm not sure about the slope and what Hz to tune them to for best sound. I have the front / rear set to 100hz and the slope to 24. It goes flat/6/12/18/24. I would like some advice on how to tune these. The subwoofer setting is what I'm most concerned about. I have a FI BL 12 and blew it. Now in the process of re coning it =( I'm also not sure what to set my amps LPF to.... I was told 80hz but I want to be sure. Many people also mentioned bass boost being bad, is this true? And one more question, should I keep my subwoofer level on 0 at all time…

I've had this unit working in my truck for about a year and a half now no problems and yesterday I get in and it turns on plays fine for a few minutes then the screen goes black and I lose all sound. When I turn on my truck all the buttons will light up and I hear the internal fan turn on, also powers on my amps but still no sound or screen. Wasup SSA! Sold my HFI300D's & bought a Cresendo BC5500D & I need to know what all equipment (Electrical) will I need to run 6300+ rms all day everyday? What would be best between the XS Power D3100 & the Kinetik HC2400? How many batteries should I get, & what size & how many H/O alternators? I will be running amp @ .67ohms. Thanks SSA!

So I'm planning on running one run of zero gauge from the batt to a distro block (Like the Kicker PDK1 if anyone feels like looking) so that I don't have to drill two holes in my firewall. But the SAX1200D just shot up from 315 to 375, (just outta my price range) so I'm gonna get a refurbished SAZ1500D from DB-r. My question is, since the distro block is going to be 0ga in and 4ga out, can I run two runs of 4 ga to the 1500D (as my other amp will be an SAX125.2) and feed the it the current it needs? Or will it not be enough and possibly overload my one run of 0ga? (it'd be a decent 0ga wire too, btw. Like Stinger or maybe Kicker)

Does anyone know if the first line of Soundstream D-tower amps where made by Soundstream or Power Akoustik? It seems like a solid amp and can run at .25 ohm no sweat. Does anyone happen to know?

I have two 15inch Xcons wired at 1ohm and have one + wire and one - wire...the amp speaker connections look like this..... - - ++ where do i put each of my wires for 1 ohm... do i need a jumper on the positive wire? the owners manual says the amp connections are the opposite like this ...+ + - -...and they are like this on the amp - - + +

im gonna be running 4 sa-12's, my electrical consists of 180 amp dc power alt (coming very soon), big 3, kinetic hc2000 under the hood and a hc600 in the back(all i could fit) so with that electrical, i need an amp that will power those sa-12's @1ohm. im thinking maybe 2500-3000 watts. has to be fairly small...maybe like 12 wide by like 22 long or so. i was gonna get the AP3000 but i dont have room for it unless i mount it on the backside of my box and i really dont want to do that. so any suggestions for amps that fit that criteria that will run with little to no voltage drop on my electrical in the 350 dollar range? i was thinking AQ2200D but i think the sa-12's would l…

Here you go... There's still an amp missing, the matching 225 for the right side. I may be switching out the 2100 for a 250 for awhile. I'm trying to get ahold of another 2100 so I can run two to the sub, one on each coil. As it is right now it blends really well with the front stage for rock and so forth but there just isn't enough for hardcore bass music and I don't want to risk the 2100 by running it @ 1 ohm. hey everyone i am having trouble setting my gain on my us amps xt1600.2. i am using a dmm to set it and have discovered that i need to come up with a 66.3v reading at 1100 watts rms and with my sub wired at 4 ohms. i am running my headunit at about 25 which is about as loud as i want to go because the door speakers are starting to distort and sound like ass but when i do this i am only coming up with a voltage of about 20v. this is with the gain cranked all the way and my question is could this hurt anything? since im not even close to the 66.3v i am supposed to be at (someone might want to double check that for me..i would appreciate it!) could i possibly be doing an…

Ok so power master dont do a alt for my model of car, but im still intrested. so how hard and complicated is it to make a custom brcket. what are the ristks and chances of things going wrong? and guestimate price i should be paying for it. thx in advanse

I am in the market for a double din tv/hu. I want to have full ipod/iphone control, navigation, bluetooth, 4-5V rca outputs and a decent eq / crossover network. Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT AVIC-Z120BT Kenwood DNX9960 DNX9960 Out of the two of these, what do you think has a better eq/crossover network? Also, if you thing there is a better option for a tv/hu, please chime in with your opinion.

2001 Chevy Impala. A friend's car. Aftermarket alternator rated at 220 max, 105 at idle. Overdrive pulley. Had his mechanic install the big 3 with 1/0. Optima Yellowtop 1050 amps. He only has one amp right now. 2 gauge wire running back to a JL 1000/1v2, 2 farad capacitor, and a 500 amp dry cell, running a JL 13W7. All of this was put in his car professionally... which could be good or bad. His headlights still dim, especially on the heavier individual beats. I've been running my 2 Dcons off of 300 watts (total) for a few months now, and I guess my ears are now getting used to the volume. Soooooo......time for more power! I've run across a Zapco Reference 750 that a guy has for $100. Looks to me like a great fit wattage-wise, as it will push 375 per channel or 750 bridged. I just want to know how these amps measure up, as I've never heard of them. Google searches seem to bring up positive reviews, but I'd like to hear from you guys who may have had experience with them. Thanks in advance!

ok i got 2 RE HC' 12's, and im looking for opinions on amp(s) to get, so far denim has helped me out alot, he has recomended the following: 2 kx800.4 2 dei 1100 1 pg tantrum 1200.1 1 us amp 2000 and many more so what would you recommend. It dont have to be one of them can be anything. thanx, Rob

When I get my system together, I'd like to have some valuable time with an RTA to get the EQ (PXA-H701) setup right. Has anyone tried using this? Phonic PAA3 Handheld RTA Its not for setting up a competition vehicle or anything, but I'd like to know if it is good enough for me to get my eq flat with pink noise and I'll adjust by ear from there. Your thoughts?

is this amp realllllly under rated or sumthing 1.5k at 1ohm...for a 4k D? this isn't just for flakko lol anyone else can chime in it was just bothering me why its marked 4000d and its power is 1.5k

Holy s**t! How much are you guys paying for alts? I called H.O. Alts & to replace my stock 130 amp with an oem repl 210 amp is $699.00. That doesn't incl tax, ship, etc! BTW this is the only one that won't require any mods or interfere with ecu so it's the cheapest route. Just got sticker shock & wanted to see if this was an average price. Called a couple local places but thier alts require a lot of other hassels with stock elec system.

Budget is 200 my eye is aimed on the crescendo 600.1 symphony between 600-750 rms is the power im looking for at 1ohm. Other amp was a ppi p1000.1 then my old faithful amp of choice mb quart(One of the series really haven't looked deeply into them.) Any other options I should look at for amps? Only thing im looking for is a efficient amp and the crescendos states 97% at 2ohms gets hot in the trunk in SC my father needs something that can pack a punch for a hour in the temps. Other information amp will be powering sa-8's V1. Electrical is strong for this power draw.

I called a few friends but noone knew, so as soon as I got home, next step was to ask here. I sort of remember some people mentioning some kind of ground loop noise in the system, or had grounding issues with this head unit. Is this true or am I thinking of another Pioneer deck? I ask because I need to get a new deck for the civic to compete and Amanda's old Sony is not going to cut it. i have a jvc kwnx700, a TEAC 200 watt two channel, and a set of phoenix gold components. Recently, I bought a Fi Bl 12" , a sundown Saz-1500d, and an optima yellow top for the trunk. I wired up the batt with 1/0 welding cable and tested my high amp. it worked great. I hooked up the sub amp with 1/0 and using the old remote turn on from my previous sub set up. It didn't kick on. I then tried my remote turn on that i used on my highs. it still didn't power up. i then went back up front and found my radio off. that remote wire was spliced into the power for my HU. Could I have caused a short by yanking on it? Why wouldn't the sub amp kick on? any help would be greatly apprec…
