I have a 2008 trailblazer with stock electrical. I have the t400-4 and a t1000-1bd. Will I be alright with the big 3 and a new battery, like an optima redtop (yellow top wont go in my car) or do you guys know of any better batteries for about the same price (under $200)? Also, where can i get 0 gauge battery cables for the big 3?

hey guys, i can't seem to find anyone selling digital batter voltage displayers for car sound systems on ebay. it will be necessary for my car since i will be running stockk electrical for a while until i can buy a h/o alt or battery. does anyone know where i can pick one up for cheap? my buddy has one of the later model pioneer head units which works really well (the one with the big knob that controls everything), and i would totally buy it, the only problem is that i'm putting the sound system in a 98' bmw 328i and the blue headunit looks a bit cheesy with the dark orange lights bmw uses for the cluster and buttons...can anyone help me?

Hey Guys, I am going to have a yellow top under the hood and a spare bat in the trunk. What I was wondering is how do you wire these? Do you run them in series and then the amp from the rear batt? Josh

I have a XS Power as a starting battery, 2 runs of 0gauge to my rear batt which is a Deka. I'm wanting to add another deka in the rear and wanted to know if I need to do 2 runs of wire to connect the rear batts together or will 1 run suffice. Thanks

I have made two schematics. The second one is revised and I think it should work. I also have a few questions. 1) Which is a better setup? 2)What size fuses would go in each fuse holder? the amps have a 150 and 500 amp fuse rating and the alternator is 260 amp.

Ok guys I'm looking for some advice towards the two topics as stated in the title. I'm running a sundown Sae-1200d and an FI bl 18". Currently stock alt , stock batt, all 1/0 ga wire and batt neg to chassis ground in 1/0. I'm initially looking to put a new battery up front or (possibly in the back) but the new batt would be running of the stock alt for while whether it be in the trunk with the stock batt up front or the new batt up front solo. I'm looking to save some $ up and get a new ho alternator in later on. Right now I'm looking at the kinetik hc1800 which does 1150 cca and fits my budget of being under $250. This battery will also fit up front under my hood as wel…

So I've had my BC2000D for about two weeks. I've only had it running on 4 ohms for 3-4 days and then 2 ohms for the other two weeks or so ive had it. It's been playing mint and today i was just driving around, had my music playing at about 10/62 for half an hour and then i decided to turn it up a little bit. I had it around 20/62 and then my subs just cut out. I went to look at the amp cause its in the back seat and they go back on, they went back off again and then just stopped coming on at all. No protection light and they still have power. I was even playing them earlier this day for almost an hour at near full tilt. I've checked everything fifteen times, the ground i…

Ok, so yesterday I was warming the car up for an oil change and started beating on the system a bit. I noticed one woofer not moving quite as much as the other. So today I took all the speaker wire out of the amps (2 bc3500's strapped) and each woofer is reading 4 ohms??? It's supposed to be wired to 1 ohm per woofer 2 ohm strapped. I don't know what I did wrong. I'm not sure if there is a different way to check impedence if the amps are strapped.? I notices the master amp gets slightly warm and the slave is cold. I need some advice as I'm gettign frazzled. The woofers are 2 fi btl 15's Dual 2's I put a camera inside the box to make sure no wires came loose but everything…

hey guys. quick opinion thread. I already have my big 3 done and 1 run of power from back to front with 1/0. I have a DC HO alt on its way 200 at idle. i have 2X XS D3100 now and an optima red top onder the hood i will be replacing soon. my new setup will consist of 2X Sundown 2500D witch i already have. my sub stage is a supprise only some of you know lol. My question is... do you guys think with me upgreading all my wire to Welding wire is actually nessessary? my plan is to change my big3 with all 4/0 wire. and have 2 runs of 3/0 power front to back. i am not worried about the $200+ i am spending on the supplies i need including the wire. I am just cerious to see what …

I currently have a Mechman 270a in my 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 and it's going through belts like crazy. I have checked pulley alignment, tension, and have done everything I can think of to solve it. This only happens when the alternator is under a load when I play my beats. I have roughly 600 amps of draw with nearly 12,000 watts of battery reserve. It does the squealing the worse at idle, and actually tears these belts at higher engine speeds. I use the good Gates belts, but they don't last more than a few weeks. I have had trouble with this alternator several times and had to send it back three times, and swapping these belts, and especially the alternator in my car is a H…

I always hate these "either-or" scenarios but I'd like some ideas for 2,000 to just below 3,000rms. I'd like to run 2 10" SSA ICON's which run at 1250rms a piece ... The amplifier needs to run at 1ohm or above, not below. I have 2 JL 1000/1's I can run. Takes up a lot of room to run 2 but I know it will be stable power at 2,000rms. 100A Fuse Per Amplifier. To make things look nice, I'm considering selling the 2 amplifiers to buy a Rockford T2500-1bdCP - 2,500rms. 300A Fuse I just want someone to agree with me and say yes, you're nuts and go for it. OR Someone to say "No, don't do that, you have amazing amps already, RF is downgrading" etc etc ... It's hard to find this i…
