I've been looking for a big 5000 or 6000 watt amp kit. Do they even sell any kits like that, or do I need to buy all the wires and cables ect. separate? I'm running an Atomic AT-5000.1D I'm looking to buy one of the best amp kits to run with this amp. Basically because, I paid all this money for this amp so I don't want to get a cheap amp kit. But you know how that is. Thanks everyone!

  4. I have about 30 1990's amplifiers. Mostly Precision Power. I want to test the amplifiers both for functionality and for max unclipped output. I will record the data on a spreadsheet. I will also record by video. Method : Power supply - 12v car battery Source - Ipod Load - (2) 200w 8ohm non-inductive resistors Oscilloscope - DSO Nano panel meter for measuring power supply voltage Amplifier output, resistor, DSO Nano, and volt meter connections "Switched" turn-on Positive and negative blocks Wattage will be calculated using P=E^2/R. Resistance of the dummy load will be measured before and after the test. Are there any faults in my testing method? First amp tested i…

So my amprack is going to have 3 plexi windows. On the left and right are 2 big windows that show my amps, each with a blue cold cathode to provide lighting. Now in the middle, I'm going to have this smaller piece (big thanks to Mike aka azbass): I want to light up this piece with a different color using an LED. Now, I need yall's opinion/help. a. Should I even put an LED in this piece? b. If so, what exactly do I need to do? - how do I go about installing it? (plexi is 1/4" btw) - what power source should I use? - do I need to buy anything other than the LED like a resistor or anything? c. Should I go with a white, purple/UV LED, or any other color? I kinda don't …

I just bought an Pioneer AVH-P8400BH and needed advice on which cable to get for iPod/iPhone functionality. The Pioneer website has conflicting information. It says that for App Mode, you need the CD-IU201S but regarding USB iPod/iPhone Direct Control, it says to use the USB interface cable CD-IU201S or CD-IU201V. The "V" states its for iPod/iPhone and the "S" says its for iPod/iPhone 4th generation. More details are below about the two cables. I do have an iPhone 4S and an old iPod. I recently did a install using a audiopipe ap3001d (older 16volt discontinued model) on two 15" kicker l7's in a seald enclosure 1.5cuft. each. The amp was shocking strong. But on to my question , has anyone dealt with the audiopipe apsm 1500 mono block? And if so do you think it would be to much for my two first gen. Dcon 12's in 1.2cuft sealed inclosures? And ps. can a box from sketch up be uploaded on the site? If so how? Thanks for all help.

I just bought a 2011 Mazda 3 and I am getting a HU but I need help on which one would be the best bang for my buck. Now I'm not looking for something cheap quality, but something hopefully below $250 if it's a single din and if it's a double, then below $400 if possible. What my main concerns in a HU are is that it has an AUX in, 4V or higher, subwoofer, preferably lots of options to customize my speakers sounds, such as EQ, Bass, Treble, and all that jazz. If I do get a double din, it should fit in this, shouldn't it? http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/2010-mazda-3-4dr-sdn-auto-i-touring-photos.htm?photo=1745325&perspective=interior Features which I would re…

  13. Edit: I am all over with this post so bear with me.. "That amp you have is junk. You need something better" So this is always the reply I seem to get when someone ask's what I have in the car. I'm 40 years old and have been out of the scene for a while. I put a simple setup on my 2014 Focus ST which consisted of stock headunit and Sony gs 6 1/2 components front and rear, Stock 160 amp alt and 0 ga welding wire to the back. Stock battery and no big 3. After that I used a well worn 12" kicker cvr d2 and a New Hifonics Brutus brx1200.1d I have ran that since Nov of last year and it's been great for my daily routine. I have decided to go to a 15" and ordered a …

Little update for anyone who has not lost interest yet.... I spoke to someone at XS Power today about my options. I explained my situation, and was told that the D1200 will provide more power than the Optima Red Top, however using the Red Top along with a D680 will provide more power than just a D1200. The larger XS batteries will not fit the vehicle correctly. Either too large, or the wrong orientation for the terminal polarity. XS was very honest with me saying that the Red Top + D680 would work very well since I already have the Red Top. Since I don't have easy access to XS batteries, I grabbed a 20L-BS AGM power sport battery off the shelf which has similar dimensions…

So sonic electronix has a JVC KW-NX7000 open box for $549 with free shipping My link Its got most of the stuff I want(minus bluetooth) My orginal plan was to get the KEnwood Dnx-6140. Its $779 after shipping. I like the screen on the jvc better, but I'm fond of the kenwoods. I know how the bypass works on the kenwood, but not sure how to do it on the jvc, I love the way kewoods work with ipod and have no idea how the jvc works(do you have to have special cable or can you use the apple one?) I have $605 in savings and could order the JVC today if I wanted. If I wait, it will take me about a month to get the extra $180 or so for the KEnwood. Thanx in advance. And again, ti…

so i just replaced my battery two days ago and the battery is already swelling up the next day and today not much has changed. my first guess was heat and still might be, one other info is that the battery is loose not tied down since the bar or battery holding thing that goes across it was to tall to hold the battery in place. so the battery is loose and able to move should i get a new one and tie it down. this battery is the second one and if i replace it it will be the third one from them battery: duralast platinum 34r car toyota camry alt: 130amp from a 2003 highlander(original stock 80 amps)

I have a tc-loc2 hooked up to a hifonics brx1100.d running at 2 ohms to a re sex v2 12" in a 2 cu ft 32hz box. The amp is rated at 800 rms at 2 ohms and and the sub is rated at 750 rms. I have the gains on the LOC all the way up and the gains on the amp at about 6/8ths, now that is partly because I set the gains with the remote at 50%. Anyways is it alright if the amp gains are maxed out because if I turn the loc gains down I will probably have to. thanks

This will take over the duties of powering my front stage. The 2100-XXK that's in there right now is doing fine, but the Germaniums seems like it wants a bit more power....so a bit more power they shall get. The 2100-XXK rated at 100 x 2 @ 4 ohm, the 4150-XXK when bridged will do 320 x 2. (Don't think I'll send THAT much power to them though, but it's good to have some headroom) Not sure if I'm going to use this lil guy. If anything I'll just put it on the 1500-XXK that's powering my sub.

Hello Guys, Well, I've picked up my truck from the shop today, and will officially begin to drive it daily again. So I am in the market for an Rear View Mirror / Camera options. As you all know, I know have a wall. I live in the state of TN. I'm not sure of their rules and regulations, but I know one rule states nothing can block your rear vision or something to that extinct. So I am wanting to combat this issue. What I am wanting is: A) One camera that is always "on" B) One camera that is always "on", Second camera that is only on when in reverse. What my thought was to, mount an camera like, lower bumper. This camera will only be on going in reverse. Then, t…

I've started looking at amps for my SPl set up so I know how much I need to save. I really dont want to spend more than $500 but i know that is kinda hard. Im looking for something that can drive my Ava at 4ohm well or 1ohm with the gains down and do some good SPL runs at 1ohm with my Custom Woofage DP. I was looking at the 20.1 but that is alot of money. Kicker, Orion, they all cost lots of money for lots of power. I know power cost money but does anyone know where i can get the hook up? Ive yet to talk to my GF's uncle about a kicker amp. assumeing i could get one what would be a good amp to suit my needs.
