Hi everyone, i was upgrading my cars electrical today (big 3, new 175a HO alt, Kinetik 1800w batt) and when I was done installing it and I turned over my car, I was running 13.8v. When I started playing some music, it sounded like it was quieter than when I had stock electrical. All the lights in my car were dimming and the volts were dropping as low as 10.5v. The alternator was charging real slow and having a lot or trouble keeping up. What could the problem be?? I am absolutely clueless on what it is so if anyone has a good suggestion, I would love to hear it. Thanks in advance

Hey I just made an all new setup in my car. I have 2 skar audip vvx 12s in a 3.7 ft box tuned to 34 hz running off a crescendo bc2k. I have a 100 amp alt not sure if its stock and a northstar agm battery. its pretty much an xs3400. I aslo hace the big 3 done in 1/0 gauge. The setup is alright but it just doesn't slam as hard as I expected. I used to run one of the vvx 12s on a kicker zx1000.1 with the gajn and bass boost like 3/4 up and bassboost and loudness on on my deck and it would slam just as hard as these do now. Hey People....I will soon be the proud owner of the SAZ 1500D!! I am wanting to get your advice on how to properly power the amp. I currently have a car with the stock 105 amp alternator. I've done the BIG 3 with 4 gauge wire. I also have 4 gauge running to my trunk.....It then goes into a capicator and then to a distro block where I have it going to a 2 channel 300 Watt Denon amp and also what will now be the SAZ 1500D.....I'm pretty sure that I will be starving the amp for power....SO...My question is mainly budget related. How can I give the SAZ enough power the cheapest way??? Can I run another 8 guage power wire and just use it for my 2 channel and leave the 4 g…

Well the title pretty much says it all. I am looking for an amplifier that pushes approximately 1500 watts at 1.5 ohms. My price limit is 400 bucks, maybe 450 if it was really worth it, but if it can be a lot lower, awesome.

Never ran active in my life so I have some questions Amp is a SAX-100.4 Comps are the Cresendo CCX65. They are rated at 100 rms a side. Doing this passive is easy, but I am wondering how to split the power levels between the mids and the high's. 50/50? 75/25? Or even 99/1? (heard the tweeters are kinda bright lol) When setting gains if I want say 75 watts on the rear channels I'd play 1000hz test tone. Hook the dmm to 1 rear channel and turn the gain till the dmm reads 17.32 volts correct? So that should be 75 watts per channel. ( 4 ohm load ) I plan on crossing the mids and highs at 3000hz, so should I still use the 1000hz test for setting the gains on the highs respect…

Hello, im thinking of getting some new amps for my system, I am really interested in these Crescendo amps, for the price dont seem too bad. I was wondering how the sound quality is on these? My subwoofers are FI q 15, two of them in a sealed box. i have a 2003 LincolTC, my system is a Soundqubed HDS315-D2 1200RMS powered by an Orion cobalt 2500.1D 1ohm stable amp, which is what i have it wired to. In the market for one. so far have looked into db, irragi, cbr electronics, nations, mechman, and just recently spring hill. I've heard of people having issues with mechman and irragi but after doing some reading there could be other reasons why their units failed. Any input on any of these? right now I'm leaning more towards spring hill autoelectric simply because they offer more options for upgrading ie i can order just the parts i need and upgrade the alternator myself and save $100+ that and their customer service has been very responsive about answering my thousand questions. even on the weekend which i thought odd... Anyone have any dealings with them either??

Hello, I heard that Mazda 3s computer systems cannot handle new HO alt's, so that being said I wanted to just fabricate a new bracket for a secondary alt instead, but there is no possible room to put another alt. so I was thinking of just getting more batteries instead, is that a good choice? or should I investigate and try to get a new alt anyway. Right now I'm currently running 1800 rms with stock alt big 3 all 1/0 100% OFC and XS power XP750 and getting pretty bad voltage drop, I'm going as low as the upper 11s . and my amp gets a little hot (i think that's why). I plan to upgrade to 3500 rms, so that's why i want a new alt. HELP! thanks!

Hey all. I was just wondering if there was a way to prevent my amp from clipping when I turn the bass up. Also could someone explain exactly what clipping is on a amp? My amp is a AQ2200 my head unit is a Clarion CZ200 my subs are Alpine Type R 15's and I have tsunami 1/0 gauge wiring and all stock electrical. My car is a 1977 oldsmobile delta 88. Oh and I do have a extra battery and I have checked my voltage and it stays around 13.20 when bass hits. Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I found this amp while searching for a good cheap amp. I know that if I spend the extra ($400) I can get a good amp, but this one sure looks like a RF T1000.1. I recently installed a Pioneer P4300DVD doubled-in deck in my truck and just have a few questions about some settings. 1. What should my sub frequency be set at on the deck (it goes up to like 120hz I think)? 2. What should my HPF be set at on the deck? 3. Any tips on tuning the Custom Equalizer settings? I was wondering if anyone on here uses or dislikes the powerbass xa3000 and if you use it did you have any problem with it. i already have an orion 2500d on my sub but i also have had this powerbass sitting in my room because it was in protect mode and a local repairer said he couldnt fix it. i just want to see if its worth fixing i only bought it for 150 bucks and would it be better than the 2500d?

Hey all, I have done some research and could only find one head unit that would run .FLAC files or any lossless audio codec. And this head unit was super expensive and hard to find. Does anyone know a good way around this like a media player that can play them and will hook up to the head unit? Would auxillary cables degrade the quality aspect of FLAC making it pointless to try playing them on a MP3 player of some sort? Thanks guys.

I recently bought some 35w 8000K hids from DDM Tuning. I installed them and now every time I turn my lows on manually, my HU (Kenwood KDC-MP345U) just stops playing music, forcing me to turn my HU off and then back on. The HU stays on but seems to just be frozen. If anyone knows how to fix this please help. Thanks in advance.
