I don't know if you guys even talk about video here, I did a search but didn't find anything. I was wondering what are some good quality 7" or 6.5" headrest monitors? I am putting one in my dash and have been looking at dei and sony. Can't find many companies that make a plain monitor w/o all the buttons on them. Eclipse has a nice one but not shipping till may or june and clarion's are nice but has buttons on them. I was looking at farenheit but I heard they are not good quality and customer service in near zero, and this was from one of their dealers. Also looking at visualogic or something like that, at a dealer but they come with the headrest only. any help would be …

Got the sub and amp installed last night, and was noticing some dimming of the headlights driving around. I'm not really wanting to change out the alternator just yet due to warranty, but I'd like to upgrade the battery and hopefully that will resolve it. The amp is an Audioque 1200d running at 1ohm, so its making right around 1200w. Not really sure which route to go for a battery. Should I look in to an Optima or Interstate type battery, or go the route of an XS battery? It would be the main/only battery and used for daily use in both really warm and cold temps.

The stock radio in my car has an RCA input hidden in the glove box. I would like to continue using the stock radio, but would like to add bluetooth to the radio instead of using an RCA to Aux cable. I had the BT-1A bluetooth receiver from parts express lying around the house, so I hooked it up to see how it would sound. It sounds like there is a lot of interference playing through it. How it is currently hooked up is just a cigarette lighter plugin to the bluetooth receiver and the RCA plugged into the stereo. What do you think is probably causing this issue? At first I thought it could be fixed using a ground loop isolator, but I have not tried this yet. After…

Noticed one of my 40 amp fuses on my 1500d is fuzzy looking on the left inside part of it. I'm not trying to damage anything, so I'm wondering what's the proper way to remove a fuse without causing anything else to break? Thanks, Nick

  12. I bought a KICKER 11VS12L72 ("that box has a dual 4 woofer wired down to a 2 ohm load. So you want an amp that is 2 Ohm stable") And I'm trying to find recommendations from the experts for an amp. I am leaning towards the SoundStream DTR1.1700D that is on a sale for $188 online. Might buy it tonight if I don't find anything better.

I was talking to guy at the local shop and he got me thinking about pre-amp voltage and line drivers. I have a Pioneer 3200DVD with 4v pre amp outputs. He told me that a line driver would boost that voltage and make a night and day difference to my system. If someone could tell me how they work, and what it would benefit to me if I got one. Head Unit is stated above and the amp is a saz-2500d. He exclaimed it was needed, I don't think it is. He may of been trying to make a sale. Thanks in Advance!

I just got my Batcap 800 today. The instructions say NOT to ground it to the chasis! Does this seem strange to anybody else? I've used caps before and have always grounded them to the chasis. It says to wire it in parallel to the amp. If it's 25% cap & 75% battery why wouldn't you ground it to the chasis? A background on my system...Optima Yellow Top (38Ah) under the hood, Big 3 (1/0), stock alt (80A), going to run 1/0 back to Batcap 800, (1999) US Amps 150X bridged to RE 10D2 in a sealed box .61 ft^3. HU is Panasonic DFX-85. This is all in a 1996 Honda Orthia (Civic wagon). I want to be able to swap my system out without too many upgrades. I have 2 O/S US Amps 20…

  18. I currently have a CDA-9855, but the CD player is starting to skip rather easily. I want to know what would be some good HUs. I'd like it to have HPFs and a LPF with adjustable slopes,2 way and 3 way xovers, graphic eq and/or parametric eq, time correction, full speed ipod/iphone capability. I think the 9887 is nice but does anyone have experience with them as well as "imprint"? Thanks

Ok, im pretty sure I have this right but I would like some confirmation to be sure. This is basically what my electrical will be.. the few things that can vary will be battery location, in the picture im going to add at the bottom I put the 2nd battery at the bottom(back).. easy to understand. the vehicle will be a Tahoe which has a 2nd battery tray.. should i use that 2nd tray or just keep it in the back close to the amps? That is one thing i wasnt 100% on, also Ill have a Kinetik HC2000 and a Kinetik HC1800 ... do i want the bigger of the 2 in the back? Also will someone look at my fusing in my picture to make sure that is correct also before i go buy all these damn fus…

I can pick alternators for $20 at my local yard, for an extra hundred odd amps would getting a bracket fabbed be worth it? Not planning to exceed 3k rms for a year or so. Just a hifonics brx 2k and a taramps 250x4. Suppose I'm askin, how much would a bracket and a longer belt run me?

So tonite I set my gain and ssf according to the thread on here. Only questions are, when getting rms for 2 zcon's, do I add both together, or just what amp says. Amp is a saz2500d. 1 ohm says 2500 rms. square root is 50. Set amp output to 50 vac. Then took 50*.707=35.35. Turned ssf up till voltage dropped to 35vac. Questions are, is that correct? Or do I then readjust gain back up to 50?

  24. I can't for the life of me figure this one out. The power and grounds are both good according to my DMM. The remote wire is getting power (0.1-0.2v) The remote wire is hooked to the blue and white wire. I've tried 2 amps, 2 fuses, and 2 capacitors. DEX-6900BT Pioneer radio Hifonics ZRX3216.1D Zeus and also tried Skar Audio RP-2000.1D (thought the amp was bad). All the other speakers and such work, so totally at a loss.

Hey guys, had a few questions. I was looking through all of the topics, and it seems that most people either go with Knukonceptz, WeldingSupply, or Kicker. I was wondering if there were any benefits one has over the other (other than price, obviously). About how many feet of wire is usually necessary for an SUV setup? This number should include wiring from front to back as well as the big 3. I was thinking right around 30 with some room to spare. I could be way off though, that's why I'm asking. Finally, is the WS wire ok to run just as you would a "brand name" power wire? I would assume that there could not be too many differences in the two, but I'm not an expert. If th…
