Does anyone have any experience with the AQX3500's? im planning on running one on 2 AQ HDC318's copper coils. Id like to run it at .5 ohms, will it become a frying pan or will it be ok.

What upgrades are needed to run a Sundown 2k? Some people say HO alt and some don't. What do you all think? Going in a 2005 Cavalier. Not trying to buy a HO alt if I don't need to. Thanks

i check all my speakers all the wires nothing touching......nothing cut, when i turn the radio up i can still hear and feel the bass. and everything esle getts distorted so i don't know whats up ............the only thing i can think of is the radio is a peace of ///

I have scoured the internet last week and found nothing that can do this for real... I only found one amp, can't remember the amp but definitely could not do 200w x 4 @4ohm with a 60A fuse... I am trying to find an amp that can do 200w x 4 @4ohm so i do not have to get 2 amps that can do 200wx2 @ 4ohm. It's a space issue. Anybody know of such? And i do not plan on getting the 15K rockford amp.

I cant do both. I have one Iraggi HO alt rated 160-200A @ idle, 220A peak should I add 1 more bigger alt to the AC bracket or add 2 more 100aH Oreilley AGMs, Intimidator knock offs

So i went a lil over budget when i ordered my sub so i need to go kind of cheap on amp. I have a 18" D2 Death Penalty on the way that is 2k rms. What does clamping an amp mean? "my amp clamped at 2800watts at 2ohm 13.8 volts" does that mean he stuck it in one of these, and it put out better?

guys i was wondering about a system that has say 10 amps & a couple of processors if the remote wire voltage from a typical deck will be sufficient or safe to turn on all of these or will a relay be needed to help boost the turn out voltage ? what is usually the voltage out from a deck ? what voltage is required for amps or processors to turn on ?

i do not know if this is the right section for this, i was wondering if you would see any voltage increase in creating a heatshield or putting sound deadening around it to keep it a few degrees cooler

do the monoblocks with the fans in them make a big difference or not unless you run then for a long period of time??..cause ive come down to either choosing the ED nine.1 or the massive audio p1500.1,the nine,1 has a built in fan and the massive doesnt but i heard the massive is a overrall better quality amp so i wanted to ask you guys...

Been off pursuing other hobbies and raising a little girl... My DNX8120 is dying a rapidly accelerating death. First the XM receiver takes an intermittant dump over the last year. So while doing research on the 800/880's I came across the 9800bt. Now from what I can tell they are pretty close in head units with the main differences being. 9800 - color display, bt 800/880 - active capable, left and right equalization, im sure some more tuning options im forgetting. Are there any more major differences in these 3 units? I do know they both have burr brown 24 bit converters and 5 volt outs and lots of tuning options. Now at the moment I'm not going to be running active. Eventually I want to learn how to properly go active and all the tuning that goes into making a good sounding system. Any opinions? I tried to look up past forums on this and had no luck. How much will a zx2500 draw at 2 ohms? Im gonna run 4 for a daily setup and im trying to figure out how many alts and what amperage alts i should run to properly supply these amps with enough amperage. thanks

How do you guys do it and still get the door sills back down? That wire is so thick I cant get the plastic sills to snap back in. Also for those of you running the amp behind the rear seat how big is the amp? I have a sundown 1200 v2 and Im starting to wonder if its too big to fit back there. I cut out the rubber to fit the amp in but Im wondering if when I put the seat back in if it wont fit. Id like to know before getting it all done.

So maybe some one here has done 2 alts can help me. just came back from my mechanics shop and was told that adding second alt would not work, i asked why and was told he could install but could not turn alt on, said i needed a wire harness to hook up to trucks computer. I thought the belt turned the alt on and i could wire to rear batt bank. Can anyone with this type of knowledge please help me out? (air con being swapped for stock alt to go with my Mechman 270a alt)

I know some people have issues with Maxxsonics stuff, but they do have a few decent lines. The new Hifonics GLX and ZRX lines look pretty good. Im pretty sure the GLX is the BRZ/BRE replacement, and the ZRX is the ZXI replacement. GLX costs more then the ZRX, but has better X-Overs, and should be their more premium line. Though the ZRX line looks better to me. Just ordered the new Hifonics GLX100.4 since its smaller and will fit under my seat, and should handle a nice set of comps and a lower end sub setup well. I have a 2005 4runner Limited with the JBL package. I am about to install my headunit and have already gotten my wiring harness and dash kit, but need to know if there is anything else specific I will need. Seen a few modules that are said to be needed to bypass items in the 4Runner. Not really sure what it meant or if needed. Anyone who has done an install on a 4th Gen 4runner (03-09) please help.
