Hey fellas!! its been a while since i last was on here. its good to see the forum still going strong!! I gots a situation i needs help with fellas. I just ordered an 220 iraggi alt for my car. I've been having battery issues for a few months now and im convinced a new alt will defitnely help my setup and maybe fix my battery issues. I have an optima red top under the hood and a kintek 800 in the back next to the amps run in series. The optima has been recharged twice and from what im told needs to be recharged again. I've done a lil research and from what i gather, optima aint the company they used to be. im sick of my red top, so my question is whats a better battery? …

Alright mono block it is! I dont know what was happening before but everything is fixed now. I think a 3500D should be enough (for now) to power BLs sufficiently.

Just wanted a couple of suggestions of what amp i shoud put on my highs. I had a kenwood 301T on it but it blew on me so i had to take it out and now my highs sounding like str8 a**. I have two pioneer 5 1/4s, two kenwood excelon tweeters, and two eclipse 6X9s. Help a brotha out.

Has anyone had experience with the Orion 2500.1dz model amplifier? I heard rumors of it running extremely hot. I want to run my two American Bass XFL 1224’s @ 1ohm and I’m kinda on the fence choosing between the Orion and Taramps MD5000.1. Any advice?

Like the thread says, looking for an amp for mids/highs. This will only be powering the front stage, so I was looking at 2 channel amps, 4 channel amps would work as well, but i'd kinda feel like i was wasting money on 2 extra channels (if this was for me, i would go 4 channel and just bi-amp, but its for a friend). He already has speakers that are 2 ohm and rated at 70 watts RMS. He doesn't have a specific budget for this amp, but around $200 should work for his overall system budget. hi, i was wondering if a sax 100.4 could withstand 1.33 ohms or 2 ohms in bridged stereo mode. my plan was to initially run 4 sets of components off each channel, but due to space limitations that i've decided i can't be bothered worrying about and the fact that the speakers will be underpowered i've decided to run 3 sets. if 1.33 will kill it, will 2 ohms be ok? the manual says to use 4 ohms in bridged stereo mode but my current amplifiers are cheapies off ebay which are running 2 ohms in bridged stereo and haven't had any problems. thanks

I am doing the big 3 on my 2004 Rodeo and have ran into a slight snag. I am hoping somebody on here has some advice. I am using 1/0 AWG weling cable from Airgas (Radnor Flex-A-Prene) . I Grounded the negative battery terminal and the engine to the chassis without issue. Now I am trying to attach the cable to the charging post on the alternator. The problem is that the charging post is a tiny bolt, and the lug on the welding cable is huge (http://www.airgas.com/browse/productDetail.aspx?Category=14&product=RAD64002143). The lug is too thick to be able to re-attach the nut on the charging bolt, and it is coming in contact with the case of the alternator where …

so i got a 4' x 8' sheet of 3/4 plexi for free the other day so im using some of it to enclose my amp. im wondering where i should mount my fans i have 2 4" fans and im wondering how should i mount and wire them. 1 in each end? wired one pushes and one pulls? or both pulling air in? and ill add 2 more when i find some more

sorta noob question but ive never had this particular predicament before Would it be ok to run 4 awg from the ground on the batt to my amp and run 1/0 from the+ batt to a distro to my amp. i know the ground and power have to be the same awg when putting them into a amp. my car has a very poor ground in the trunk and this option will save me some money an time until i can get more 1/0 to run from the front to the back. my amp has 4 awg inputs so would i be ok doing this since i would be using both 4awg for ground and power. i do plan on upgrading the the gound to 1/0 since im goin to add a few batts but this is only temp for maybe a month.

I ordered a ssd15 and it should be coming in in about a week. What amp should i choose? I have been looking at the soundstream rubicon 1600d, the powerbass xax1200d, and the lanzar opti1400d. These are all on amazon for under $230 with shipping. Its weird how the least powerful is the most expencive and the most powerfull is the least expencive. But something about the lanzar has been grabbing my attention. If there are any other amplifiers in this like class and price range could you help me out and give a reccomendation?

welp guys... I was lookin at the batcap 800 for my friends Integra Couple of reasons im considering this over a group 51 Yellow Top it has WAY MORE CCA Its lighter and it costs the same Also, its black, so it doesnt draw attention like a Yellow Top would Only problem i can see is RC, the stocker is 70m The Yellow top is 75m But Batcap doesnt list any sort of RC on the 800

Hey there guys just needed some advice on my electrical. I have a 110amp stock alternator and i am running 2 12s skar vvs off a sundown saz2500 @ 2ohms so there getting 1200 rms. i will be running xs flex 0 gauge with a odyessy pc 1500 underhood. I am also running a skar 80.4 with front/rear skar coaxils. Wanted to know if my electrical is sufficent and another question was that using my sundown amp at 2 ohms, will that be less stress on my electrical rather then 1ohm? Thank you

I have a powerbass 300.2x which does 80 wrms per channel at 4 ohm im running a set of alpine type s 6.5 coaxials they are 80 wrms i have to turn the gain all the way up on the amp to hear them/sound good would a headunit with 4 volt preouts help? Btw i have a speaker wired to each channel. And i have an alpine cde9876 i think two preouts that are 2 volts.

i have the Rockford Fosgate Power T20001bd amp and a red top optimus battery under the hood with a 800 kintik in the trunk all wired with 0ga wire and gold terminals with a 200 amp alt and was thinking of getting a Rockford Fosgate RFC2DHybrid 2.0 Farad Digital Stiffening Capacitor if this isnt a nough juice and a alt if i need one? this is for my btl 18 fully loaded wich rms is 2000 watts any help and i apreate it thanks guys!!

Hello I recently picked up two Kicker L7 12s (yesterday) and I need and additional amp to power both of them. I have a kicker 750 installed from a previous system, But I don't have the money at the moment to but another 750. So I found a deal on craigslist a guy selling 600.1 for 75 bucks. I made arrangements to meet with him tomorrow. Will having tow different power amps cause an audio problem? I know its a funny question and probably stupid but I just didn't know. For Black Friday I found a great deal on an iPad mini and want to use it as my new head unit. I have done some research on how to hook it up and now have a few questions. I found the iStreamer that takes the signal from the iPads USB connector and converts to RCA but right now that piece is way out of my price range. So instead I wanted to use a 3.5mm to RCA output to run my amps. What I was planning was running the 3.5mm to RCA into the aux input on a Clarion EQS746 and running each output to its amp. I need a new amp for my SI Mag. I had a Massive P1000.1 amp running it that does 880W @ 1ohm, but that amp is now powering my newly fixed Adire Brahma MKIII that Fi reconed for me and instead of getting a new amp for the Brahma, I'm thinking about getting one for the Mag. Now here lays the Problem. I'm down to these: Sundown SAE-1000 (1000W @ 1 ohm) - because I know Sundown is high quality. I got a second hand kicker 750.1 a while back, pushing two 10 inch Kicker CVRs (400rms each) wired to 2ohms so the amp is giving about 750rms. Today, my new amp came in, the Hifonics 1700.1 (1700rms at 1ohm, 1200 at 2ohms, 600 at 4ohms) I wired up my old kicker subs to it, same wiring and boxes, so they should be getting 1200rms instead of the 750. On the kicker amp, i had the gain right below half way, on the new Hifonics amp I have the gain turned right around half way, and it sounds the exact same. I have a IA 6.4 that worked fine before i took it out of the vehicle i sold. Sat up for 2 years and connected it to power today. Now when it gets power it goes straight into protect and makes a clicking noise. Anyone have this problem before??

so i got: optima yellowtop under the hood kinetik hc2400 on the back iraggi 240/165 amp alternator it was running fine for about a week since i installed it, my voltages were: 14.2@idle, 13.4v w/ engine off this morning it was running fine too so when i was leaving this afternoon, i noticed the battery gauge was pretty low i checked the voltage and it was only 12.7 while the car is idling and system is off so i turned my car off and checked the voltage, it was 12.8 so i disconnected my powerwire that runs to the back battery and the amps after about half hour driving i checked the voltage, while idle it was 12.3 when it was off it was 12.5 what do you guys think? did my …
