  1. Toyota tundra with stock alt, hid lights, 100rms x 2 channel on the doors and 1300rms on the sub. I'm looking into buying a new battery for under the hood because there is no place to install a second battery in my truck with still a fully functional bed and max seating. I was looking at the kinetic 1800 or 2200. Not sure how big I need to go but I'm pretty sure I can squeeze just about as large of a battery as I could find in the stock location.

  2. this amp does over 800rms from 4-1ohm making it VERY versatile. it's small and can fit all over, it has SICK on board xovers/subsonic, 24dB per octave I believe, built in cooling fan. just over built in general and a sick amp. I always see people going with other amps because they just don't know what they're missing... see the vid in my sig of one x600.1 pushing a single DD 9510F and tell me another budget 600watt amp that'll do that.. I'll propmtly reply with a good smiley from another forum

First off I just discovered this site and it's great! I've read through 10 pages in this section alone for some answers and got some good ones but some were unanswered so I'm going to through a bunch of questions out there and hopefully some of you can help me out heres a quick rundown of what my plans are 15" btl sundown saz3000 2x sundown 125.2 big 3 150 or 280 amp alt (will explain) ok so I am unsure on the battery situation. I want to keep my voltage as close to 14v as possible for extended periods of time. I drive around the country so 8-10 hour trips aren't unusual. the largest alt I could find without breaking the bank is 150amps BUT someone told me they had a cust…

Ok, I just got in my Fi Q 15. I have it running 1000rms at 1 ohm on a Sundown 1500D on stock electrical. I am getting a bit of dimming. I have a run of 1/0 wire with a 1/0 battery to chassis ground. I am thinking of going pickup a Kinetik HC600 or HC800 and put it in the back since, I still have to hookup my JL 300/4 back there. Would this take a bit of strain of my front battery? I REALLY dont want to have to change my alt. Factory amperage on my Tacoma is 80 amp.

I started this topic because I've seen some negative remarks around the internet about their products but not necessarily(sp) why. I personally own two Nine.1's and a Nine.4. I'm not trying to start anything in any way or any kind of fight or flaming, I just want to know why some people don't like them. I'm thinking of running new amps and I'm trying to decide if its worth it or keep what equipment i got. Personally I'm happy with them and thats what matters, but I just want to hear from other views. Mods- like i said I'm not trying to cause any problems just looking for the stereo community's thoughts. I'm sorry if this post is against any rule and please delete or lock …

Hey guys, just trying to decide between 2 headunits. Both have the features I want. iPod connection, Hi-Volt Pre-outs, 3.5mm input, USB, nice display, basic EQ controls. Ease of use is a priority for me as well. Both of them are right in the budget I was thinking. I dont really care about HD/Sat Radio, or Bluetooth. Kenwood X794 Pioneer P7200HD I know some Pioneer's have the weird ground noise that pops up sometimes, so that scares me a little. But I love the fact that the USB and 3.5mm jack is on the front. That is a big thing for me. I would just like your opinions on which one would be the better HU, if either is better. Thanks guys.

I have a DC power H.O. alt and big 3 done with a kinetik hc1400 up front and a hc600 right next to amp with 4 awg connecting to my SAX-1200d and yeah my voltage is fine MOST of the time but it seems like on CERTAIN random songs with a perfect note my voltage still gets awfully close to 12v occasionally.. HOW many batts you guys running and on how many watts rms you pushin? Since Im thinking about upgrading to an Xcon 18 > over my current 18 ssd, I will most likely be upgrading my amp to a 2000rms amp or something close to 2k like AQ/AP/Hifonics and Im wondering if adding a battery or 3 will help make a difference because Im NOT upgrading alts again.... 1200rms seems w…

  11. What happened: was running pioneer avic d3 with backup camera...one day backup camera started not working at random times and I wanted Bluetooth radio so I replaced head unit with pioneer mvh-300ex. Since doing so my head unit does not turn off with ignition (or door open+Truck off) The Wiring: I’ve checked the obvious and my HU power is correctly hooked up to red wires and the yellows are correctly hooked up as well. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  12. Hey guys I am hoping one of you guys know what is wrong with my amp.. It is a older model rockford t1000 and it worked fine a few weeks ago, my sub stopped playing and I assumed I blew the sub and I found out I did. Well I find out that the amp won't power up or anything.. It popped the 150amp fuse on the amp itself and then I replaced that fuse and it popped the in-line fuse to my 4awg power cable. Soooooo I replaced that fuse and when the amp turns on it makes a very high pitched squealing sound and then pops a fuse.. There is a loose rattling on the inside but it has been that way and worked fine since I have had it even though it rattles on the inside. Should I take i…

Hey guys, I recently got my 1/0 gauge wire in the mail the other day, I am prepping it up with the clamps and getting the right sizes, and I look on the website and I see that I need a fused wire. I looked at the big 3 post and it says I should get the factory sized fuse. Can I get some pictures or some detailed information about the setup involved into this? I looked into the Big 3 post and nothing is explained into detail.....Only what it is. Any information would greatly help. Thanks, -Curt

i got a pos pioneer gm-5300t 2ch amp for my gfs car as a temp. amp while my mtx 7801 she was using is being repaired, when i got the pioneer one of the speaker output terminals was messed up and it keeps blowing fuses after playing it for a while, so i opened it up and removed the speaker terminals and soldiered 16ga wire to the board (the way all amps should be imo) and i bypassed the fuseing by soldiering a piece of 12ga wire across all the soldier points on the board for the fuses and i am going to run an 80amp external fuse, anyways i noticed a switch on the board that said bfc on the bottom and spl on the top and it was switched to bfc im curious to what this is and …

Alright guys, quick question. Maybe a stupid one, but I would appreciate some solid feedback. So, I am currently running an SAE-50.4 (2 ohms per channel) & an SAE-600D (1 ohm). The big 3 and all other power cable is 4AWG OFC, and I also have an XP750 AGM as my supplemental. I am going to be upgrading to an SAE-1000D v2 pretty soon, and I would like to know if my 4AWG is going to be enough to support the current required to run the system. I estimate the current load the cable can support, at the length of runs I have (10-12ft), is somewhere around 160-170A. As it stands, the maximum current draw will be 150A, worst case scenario. Should I spend more …

I have an old school LP 1502IQ. It has not be modded. I'm getting ready to start putting together something for my wife's car. She wants a good sounding front stage with minimal bass from a sub. She listens to all kinds of music. Is this amp worth sending out to be modded and put on a component set of Focals or similar? Or should I just sell it and get a Sundown amp. If I go with the Sundown amp...could the 100.4 do the front components and also a sub like the SA-8 on pre-sale now? This is going in a Kia Spectra5. The specs show that it has to have a slim mount component set. Does anyone know of any components around the same quality as the Focals that are shall…

Well I ask this question on another forum and I guess to must be too tough or too stupid to answer. I can not find any info relating to this. I am about to include a AudioControl DQXS into my system. I will be running my front stage (MB Quarts QSD 216) active off a Sundown Audio 100.4 amp. I'm new to running "Active" so here's what I don't completely understand... Gain Settings. I have read and understand the input/output level setting procedures for the DQXS. What about the gain settings on the amp? Quote from the manual.... "Now adjust the output level control until the "2 volt" or "5 volt" light starts to flicker. You will want the output voltage to match up to your…

I have an older Rockford 1100@2 amp with a remote gain bass knob. The cable for the knob has long since disapeared. I have used a telephone cord in the past but not sure if I am getting all of the gain. The knob has 6 wires for the pot, whereas, the phone cord only has 4 wires in the connector. The knob is rated 0-18 db slope at 45 hertz. Any help is appreciated

Ive had a sundown sae 1200 v2 for going on 4 years now. Its been ran in two systems/cars both at 1 ohm. I installed it those two times set it and left it(set it differently). Been going strong until today. My car is a Buick lesabre with a stock 130a alt. My battery is under backseat and power n ground are ran from battery to amp; literally 2-3 ft long runs. My voltage has always been decent; mid 13s is about the lowest I see on hard drops. Today on my way home from work beating all the way here; 15-20 minutes. Right when I pulled into town my bass stopped.upon inspection all 5 30a fuses in the amo popped, the 120a fuse in between the battery and amp did not. All power and…

I'm planning adding some some battery terminals from knu konceptz, but there are about 3 smaller (stock) cables currently running to the power terminal now. Could I just combine all these and use them in one of the 0 gauge ports of the knu konceptz terminal? And then leave the two remaining 0 gauge ports for big 3 cable/amp cable? thanks.
