Okay so im hooking up my new system and i dont know what to get for my fuses or my distribution block. Im going to run 3 amps connected to a powermaster D1200 battery. An alpine 650 mono, 2 channel Rockford punch 550x2, and a Sundown SAE 1200D. What distribution blocks would work? Fuses? Gauge sizes? How would i hook up the battery to the amps and other battery? Anyway, any help will help. Thanks everybody.

  7. I got a brand new aq1200d and after i wired everything up the amp has power and has plenty of it, getting almost 14 volts while the car is running, but there is no signal getting sent out from the amp. Ive tested it with a known good rca cable and even used an ipod to eliminate the head unit but still no sound. I don't know what to check now. The amp is not going into protected mode. Going to call audioque 2night after class and see if they have any input. any advise before i go crazy lol

Basically I cannot get any pre-out voltage from the HU for the sub-out. With volume all the way up on a 50hz tone pre-out voltage is ~.69 (tested directly at the HU). Put the leads on the mid output... .69 as well. Put on a 1khz test tone.. DMM on mid outputs... 3.69... on sub with 1khz.. 3.69. So basically I'm pretty sure nothing is wrong with the actual pre-outs but I am missing an option or control on the HU completly. I have the Subwoofer set to +15 and it's set on Subwoofer system 1. The Crossover and PEQ don't have the level turned down on the sub... so I am

Hey guys, I recently got my 1/0 gauge wire in the mail the other day, I am prepping it up with the clamps and getting the right sizes, and I look on the website and I see that I need a fused wire. I looked at the big 3 post and it says I should get the factory sized fuse. Can I get some pictures or some detailed information about the setup involved into this? I looked into the Big 3 post and nothing is explained into detail.....Only what it is. Any information would greatly help. Thanks, -Curt

I have an Alpine CDA-9886. The way have mine set is I have the sub out on 15 and the gain on my amp set at a moderate level. I notice a when play it at 20 it'll be hitting good, but when I turn it up past 20, that bass stays at the same level and doesn't get louder. My friend said it's my deck and he has had simular problems with Alpine's and has me interested in a nice Pioneer deck if my deck is the problem. I'd like a 2nd opinion from you guys.

I know the smaller length of ground wire the better but what do they mean by small? like 3 feet and under...i really want my amp to be closer to my car cabin instead of by the trunk but thats means my ground would be about 4 feet...is that too long?

So I decided on this unit awhile back, forgoing built in nav for a generally better unit for the money. Really like the interface and the Bluetooth is much more reliable and has much better audio quality than the Kenwood it replaced. I'm having a problem with the unit though. I live in the desert and it's hot like hell here from time to time. On hot days when the truck has been sitting in the sun, the radio will activate the mute until the truck cools down enough from the AC and then it works fine. It's annoying but I can live with that. The problem is yesterday I was driving in the mountains were it most certainly was NOT hot, OAT was between 55 and 42 F with the in…

Hey, I always wondered if my amp would run at this load so today i loaded it down to see if it would go to proctect mode or get hot. To my surprise it seemed to run it well. What could be some consequences of this that may not be obvious? Clipping? Damaged VC's? Damaged amp or would the fuses blow first? It a one ohm stable D class amp. Thankss

  19. Anyone know of a good online place to buy audiocontrol stuff ? i was going to purchase a dq-61 and and epicenter for a great price from an authorized dealer. Pretty much the price of eBay . But seems like the guy now doesn't want to sell it to me at that price. I don't need it installed just want to purchase both units . I'm like anyone else just looking for a great deal . But don't want to get burned on fake or used stuff. Yes I completely understand that audiocontrol won't honor warranty if it's not purchased form authorized dealer. But I have not had any issues with any of there stuff in the past. Anyway just wondering if any of you have purchase…

Ok once again don't jump on the gimp ass crippled old dude for not understanding a term or wtf-ever you consider this but I recently was seeking an active crossover with the possibility of getting an eq/line driver too since there are such beasts out there in 2018 so I scoured the web's, and the internet's too... I even looked around when I would go into someplace that sells car audio and after weighing my options I did something totally off the wall and bought a Stetsom STX2448 "Digital Audio Processor." I figured: 'Hey I get all of that, plus a parametric EQ and I can configure the xover any whichaway I feel like, PLUS I get to have my first unit that offers time alignm…

Hey guys currently in the process of starting the big three. I've got my battery negative to chassis** done and my alternator positive to battery positive done. I'm still confused on the grounding. 1) Should I go from engine to battery negative and from frame to battery negative? 2) Should I go from engine to frame and then from that same frame spot to the battery negative? 3) Should I go from engine to the same chassis ground that is mentioned above**? And not ground the frame in the upgrade process? Any other suggestions??

Alrighty! So after installing a cd player in my girlfriend's car some of the dash lights dont turn on. The door open, brights, blinker, etc. (square lights for some warning or another) all work, but not the lights that light up the speedo, tach, or temp. gauge. I had the - terminal disconnected while doing all this wiring, BUT i may have effed up when i tied two wires into one. Reason for doing that was the wiring diagram i was looking at said that they both were for illumination, so i figured they both needed to be plugged in to the CD player's illumination light. Would this have caused hell for my wiring? I've checked the fuses and changed the only one that was blown,…

Alpine don't know much about it. does any one have experience with sat radio and i-pod on these two? cuz im gonna be goin with a sat radio they seem like nice additions. thank you dan
