  2. whats up guys? long time no talk! anyways im looking to start back into car audio. first things first... alternator. my stock alternator is 110amp factory with 2 regular car batteries up front (because its a diesel for those who dont know) so my question is, if i keep my stock 110amp alt, 2 regular batteries up fornt and say 1 c&d 75ah battery in back with the big 3 done and all 0 gauge wiring, how many watts do you all think i could run safely? im running a audiopipe 1000 right now on my 2 sa8v2s and i have no light dimming or anything. whats yalls thoughts on this? Also, heres a short video today i threw together of me and my "dancing boost gauge" and caseys zcon…

Hey guys currently in the process of starting the big three. I've got my battery negative to chassis** done and my alternator positive to battery positive done. I'm still confused on the grounding. 1) Should I go from engine to battery negative and from frame to battery negative? 2) Should I go from engine to frame and then from that same frame spot to the battery negative? 3) Should I go from engine to the same chassis ground that is mentioned above**? And not ground the frame in the upgrade process? Any other suggestions??

like my title says, i did some trading with a guy and hes sending me his 260amp iraggi alternator. its just over a year old and he has only been using it to power a saz1500 for a few months. is there anything i should be on the lookout for when hooking this up? like is there any electrical upgrades i MUST have done before i can hook it up? i have all 4 gauge wiring now but i am switching to 0 gauge before i try to push anything big. i only have a reg. car battery from napa right now but i plan on getting 2 deka 1800's (from Alan427 when he decides to sell) in the future to run as well. anything else??

i was looking around at profile's site and looking thru their refurbished amps. are these amps worth buying? not looking at buying one right now, but i had thought about getting a few two chaneel amps, bridging both, and hooking them up to my sub. thought about getting a third and powering my front speakers. that would be like $100 ish for 3 amps....can't beat that. Are there any other manufacturer's website's that sell refurbs?? anyone had any experience with them?

Hey there! Just a question, I know amps get hot, but i think mine gets too hot. It will get hot enough to burn the shit outta your hand if you touch it and count to 3. My question is, why? and can i prevent/stop this. I thought the problem was because of its location, it was under my seat, so i moved it out in the open thinking it would get more air and stay cooler. But i was wrong. It gets this hot on my way to and from work, so day and night regardless of outside temp. maybe 30 minutes of play. Its this amp - http://crunchusa.net/Crunch_PowerOneAmp.html the one in the picture. 2050.1 and i have 2 IA Lethal Injection 12's D4. My voltage never drops below 12, never. Any i…

So if you put the power, ignition and ground from the head-unit on the battery directly and there is no power, is the head-unit faulty? Because i only get a tiny tiny spark on the positive post... other then that, no reaction. http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/ida-x305s/

I currently have a 2010 Fi Q12 in a sealed box powered off of a JL 500/1v2. It sounds great, but I want to unleash the sub's full potential by giving it all of it's 1000rms rating. I plan on putting in a high output alternator, so suppling power isn't an issue. The sub is dual 2 ohm, so I can wire it to either 1 or 4 ohm. My question is: Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality if I push an amp at 1 ohm (if stable) vs 4 ohm? The reason I ask is because I was looking at Rockford Fosgate Power amps and the T1000 Constant Power was stable at 1 ohm to 1000rms, while the T1500 Constant Power was capable of 1000rms at 4 ohm. While money isn't a big concern I woul…

  11. I have seen linked amplifiers, when connected both 1ohm by 1ohm make 2ohm. But is it possible to connect it parallel so both make 1x1=0.5ohm load at the end? Thanks.

I'm planning adding some some battery terminals from knu konceptz, but there are about 3 smaller (stock) cables currently running to the power terminal now. Could I just combine all these and use them in one of the 0 gauge ports of the knu konceptz terminal? And then leave the two remaining 0 gauge ports for big 3 cable/amp cable? thanks.

Ive got a class D Mono amp that keeps shutting off while playing music. before It used to do it if there was a weak signal but now its starting to do it no matter what. I have to turn off the HU then turn it back on to get the amp working again. In the last vehicle it was in the remote wire was connected to a fuse under the dash and the wire's insulation rubbed off somewhere. the wire touched metal on the vehicle and burned out the wire. for a while the amp wouldnt even play any music but then started workign again. btw, that happened almost exactly a year ago... had the amp for 1 1/2 years & i bass it everyday

yep..we have one at the shop..lol.. here's a link at crutchfield anyway, in person, this thing looks sweet. our manager is thinking of dropping it in his car for demo. what are your thoughts on this? good or bad? we are thinking, since it can send/recieve anything bluetooth, ie: play the mp3s off your phone, display your contact list, etc...if one had a bluetooth enabled laptop, you'd never, ever need to buy cd's again... again, thoughts? if chris puts this in car, i'll post updates... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
