Ok guys i drive an 02 chevy cavalier and i had a weak xplod amp with 2 old RF H 12's or whatever and i sold them and bought a RF BD1500. I'm about to buy a Fi BL 12 and i have a pro working on my box but what should i do electrical wise?? i've been told like a 40 farad cap on the stock system would be good and ive also been told i need a second battery and better wiring. Which do i need? Can someone please help me??

I ordered 1 guage wire and it should be in soon. I have 8guage running to my 2channel now that was drilled through my firewall. Is there any other ways to get such a large wire through? Id rather not put that big of a hole in my vehicle. What are my options? As always all help is very much appreciated

Ok I just got an audio pipe 1300 amp it's a 2 channel amp. If I wire it two the outside + and - and hook it up to a 4 ohm single coil sub will that show as a 2 ohm load bridged and give it 600 watts or read it as 1 ohm and 300 watts??

I wanted to take a bit of your time if you dont mind cause i need some help. The only difference is your making about 19,000 more watts compared to what i have LOL sad to say im having voltage drop, sub bass cuttin off when im at idle and when driving at night it tends to cut off when im bumpin it decently loud. I have a 2001 blazer with the oem alternator 1 optima redtop battery and the big 3 upgrade using 1/0 oxygen free tsunami compotition power cable. The problom im having is that when I have the car with the engine on and I play music decently loud I notice that the voltage drops to about 12 volts. I was hoping you guys could help me out. I am looking at an amp for my pioneer premiere ts-c720prs speakers and came across a refurbished usx2080 for $50 plus shipping... It does 80rms at 4 ohms and is made by zed audio... Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these? I bought a 50 farad Stinger capacitor (dont make the whole cap vs battery argument thats not what im here for) and it came with instructions on how to install it using 2 amps, but i need the diagram to hook up 1 amp to it i need to figure out where i wire it up, it has 2 + and 2 - connectons and i cannot figure out which one is input and which is output i have correct grounds, atl, and wiring and it still dims with an fi bl12 and 1500 amp, please help me wire it up Patrick

Here is what he has: 1-SAZ1000 2-SA12's at 1ohm Big 3 Decent 35-40ah starting battery, it has a green top so an interstate I beleive. his car is a 96 ford escort soon he will be adding a 2 channel amp to drive a pair of speakers or maybe a 4 channel we will wiat and see. I plugged in my moto rokr on my head unit (pioneer 5100ub) & the unit started saying "check usb" now it keeps saying that for all my usb drives. I read the manual & it says that the device had a short circuit or something. Anyone ever had this problem before? How do I fix it.

i finally made a decision on a sub to go with. im going with a SSA Icon in a ported box, 4cu@33hz and would like some help tuning the amp so i dont tear up another speaker right away. I'm goin to set the gain according to the tutorial on the jl website but need help with the other settings. i already know to leave the bass boost off lol. i mainly need help with the infrasonic filter(infrasonic freq.,"Q",Center freq.) i assume the LP freq should be set at about 80hz correct me if im wrong tho. should the slope be on 12db or 24db, im guessing 24 but could be wrong there too lol. also as far as the lp and hp filters on the head unit do they even have any effect on the amp? t…

Hey Guys, I need help from anyone who has experience or knowledge on the AudioControl DQS Processor. I have the DQS (which is an amazing piece) w/ the DDC. I understand the freq (eq) adjustments just fine. My question is on the octave slopes. This is more in depth than I've ever had to deal with or most anyone I know has to deal with. I just plain dont understand what the 1/3, 1/2, 3/4 & 1 octave width selection adjustment for each freq is for, or the purpose of the boost (level) of whichever octave width you choose. Is there a general rule of thumb or a general selection in these settings? I have a big setup w/ lots of power & I feel like I have this great compon…

Okay, my buddy just received his fi bl 18's. he has 2 of them running off an audiopipe 3000. They are both D1 ohm. Would i wire them in a series for them to be running @ 1 ohm from the amp or would i wire them parallel. AND after i figure that out how would i wire them in series and how would i wire them in parallel.

Hey everyone, I have two 12" Fi SSD's on their way...I ordered 1-ohm DVC so I could wire them to 1-ohm with my amp. I found a diagram of how to wire them, but I have a problem. I made my box so that each sub has its own airspace, so I'm going to need a seperate terminal cup for each sub. Would I wire it like this? (I didn't put the terminal cups in the diagram...but you get the point) This is the original diagram I found. I guess what I'm asking is, are both diagrams the same? Thanks!
