Hey I'm gonna try and not make this a versus thread. I'm selling my profile cl1200 (shut up) and am looking for an upgrade. It's going to power 2 10" L5's (ported) so I'm basically looking for a solid 800~1kW dclass @ 1 or 4 ohm. My price range is anywhere from 200-300. I was thinking about purchasing a SAE-1200dv2 from dB-r and I noticed that the refurbs they are selling don't come with a bass remote. If I were to buy one where could I get a remote? Straight from Sundown/Jacob? Thanks

I am about to start building my system in my ex cab toyota truck. I am not sure if I am going with 2 Fi Q15's or 2 BL15's, fully loaded yet. But I need a amp that puts out around 1000 watts RMS at 1 ohm for around $360. So far I have been looking at these: Hifonics 2600W for around $350 AudioQue AQ2200D for $390 Which one of these should I get or is there any other amp out there in this price range that might be better?

My 97 EB expedition has 4 gauge wire comming to and from the battery. Double that on the power. I am going to replace the ground wire on the bat with 1/0, but the power side is all so beefy I'm not really sure I need to. My deck has a volt meter built in, and I have been playing with it, and wanted to know if you guys think I may need to upgrade the electrical. I have not installed any amps yet and really just want to get a feel for if you think anything else should be upgraded. When idle I sit at about 13.8 V. I don't know how much drop I should expect, but if I open and close all 4 windows at the same time I drop a few tenths of a volt. When I turn on the lights …

I am looking for a new 5 or 6 channel amp. I need flexible, decent crossovers to run active. Power isn't super critical. High quality is priority #1... Size #2 and Cost would be my lowest at #3. Any reccomendations?

Ive heard good things about their amps, and I love the volt meter on the air models. Are the specs accurate on these, and are they good quality? They are dirt cheap, 134$ for the t700 with shipping to AK added on amazon. I was thinking of getting the t700 to put on the Dcons if it would be better then the soundstream rubicon 2.600 that I currently have. Couldn't find any actual reviews on them though. Thought I'd ask for your opinions, lot of smart people here. Thanks guys.

So i recently bought a pioneer avic n4 and i hooked it all up and all the unit does is open up with a black screen and when car is the screen will go down...there is no illumination or nothing...although i do here the headunit making some noises....so i know its working...and i have tried a new 30 pin plug and that didnt help.

Have a guy that wants to trade me a pair of modified Stetsom 2K6D's for my pair of SoundStream 6500D's. the 2K6D's are modded and he has run them down to almost .25ohm before. He says at nationals last year, he strapped them and ran them on a 1.4DVC subwoofer and got over 9Kw out of the pair...? I hear they are pretty under rated but I have no personal experience, I know the 6500D clamped just over 4200 @ 1ohm on 13.8v~... EDIT: These are the older Stetsoms, not the newer "Vulcan" ones... what are your thoughts?

ok so my system is almost ready to install just waiting on my ethos to come and i just paid to have my box made which should be done by the first week of oct .. im trying to do the big 3 with a friend me a me and him have never done one b4.. he knos more them me about car audio stuffs so we should be good.. i just went and got some battery terminals at the car audio place in town.. each terminal has two 0 gauge inputs and two 8 gauge inputs it looks like..my battery is a die hard platinum.. it has reg posts like my stock battery had.. my termeinals go rite over the posts.. so what do i do with the stock wires that have that rings on the end? do i cut off that metal ring a…

Currently I've got a P3002 and two Memphis twelves and a Memphis 15. I'm planning on upgrading my wiring to 1/0, and thinking I'll probably need an upgraded alternator. Someone in another thread said something about needing extra batteries for a T1500, I was thinking I'd be okay with the alternator. Opinions? By the way, I'm planning on ordering a BTL 18 next. I'm also looking for ideas on box design. Its going in an Explorer, so I've got plenty of room. I want the sub facing the roof and the port facing the front. Planning on making a amp rack out of some plexi too, I'll have to post some pics.

I have an alpine cda-9886 HU with pxa-h100 sound processor and ktx-h100 tuning kit. I'm thinking about selling this setup and getting the pioneer deh-p800prs. I'm looking for opinions. I'm working on a revamp of my system and wanting to go active. I know it's possible with the alpine, but i'm not happy with the eq settings i can access with the deck and i don't want to have to hook up a computer to get better sound. Also the ipod interface isn't that good. I haven't played with the pioneer with an ipod. It would also simplifiy my install going wtih the pioneer(no extra box under my seat). So I need some more power, I did my research and decided to go with Mechman, Called him up and can start by saying his customer service was top notch, hes very friendly and easy to talk to, answered every question I had for him. I turn on my car today, and I get nothing out of the front speakers except some buzzing, popping, and engine whine. Everything was perfect last night when I turned the car off. I'm driving an 08 Scion tC, JVC KD-AHD69 head unit with a CV 400.4 amp running a pair of Diamond Audio D3's in the front, my rear speakers are powered by the head unit. I checked fuses, ground, power, and RCA's: they are all good. Here is a video I took of what the sound is, and the second is of the front speakers picking up the sound of my mirror as I adjust it. Any help anybody?

first i need to know if theis post should be in this section. i just need to know what type of speaker wire i need. im getting a FI 12" BL, do i get 16 gauge? or 12? how many feet? the amp will be right next to the box so im thinking something like 3-4 feet. the amp wire im thinking about getting is KLM 1/0 Amplifier Installation Kit by Knukonceptz. i also need to know the fuse type my amp will be a Hifonics BXi 1610D 1600W RMS, Brutus BXi Series Class D Monoblock Amplifier is that a good amp?!?!

tested my new spl meter and got my 155 (155.7) and then click nothing, one amp is lit blue and the other is red, is there a way to reset it, i wired them down to .5 ohms strapped, should i rewire them back to 2 ohms or what can i do to get my bass back. Its the master amp that went into protect. PLEASE HELP.............

Ok I have a mechamn 220a alt... Gonna use 6 xs d3100s... Was planning on running 2 4/0 runs for alts positives and 2 4/0 runs for the alts negative....well after looking at it I dont know if it will work... I don't have much room on the alts posts... Or much room in the firewall...Would it hurt me just to do 1 run each of 4/0 for the alts neg and pos?
