  1. Hey, Just picked up a pair of Speakers for a 5.1 audio system. Model is LG Sb94sa March 2009. I Tried looking everywhere for these and can't find a single thing then whats listed on the sticker on the speakers. Center, fronts and back say 4ohm 450w (program) max power. Sub is 3ohm 8inch. Im looking to put these inside my racing trailer. I need a simple and cheap Receiver with for use with my ipod and radio. Nothing special Can anyone steer me in the right direction for these speakers? Thanks MG

So i have the Tss-450 home theater set up and the subwoofer has lost its performance. I'm thinking about switching a new sub into it. I've always been into car audio so i've done plenty of custom set ups there. Would it sound very good if i put another sub in its place in the box?

  5. Used a modified 15" Q that Scott built up for me (I think he reduced the power handling, since I am only using a 500 watt plate amp, I did not want to blow the sub by under powering it. . .haha). 500 watt PE Dayton plate amp. 8 cuft net with (2) 4" Aero ports tuned to 21-22 Hz. Just shot texture on it - he is going to paint it to match the room and it goes in the corner. This is part of a HT job for this customer - Really nice setup. Epson 8500UB projector with 120" screen (awesome projector). 7.1 with nice in-walls and this sub. Denon AVR 4310CI receiver and Sony BDP-S470 Blu-Ray player. Big room - 22' deep x 27' wide.

I got this a god 8-9 years ago from some guy for dirt cheap. we can just say it was in my worse days and he used to bring me all types of weird stuff.. I was told this was valuable at one time but I could never find it on the internet or even make it sound good.. although i could have been doing something wrong.. Basically what im asking you guys is to tell me what his is if you know.. dont sugar coat it.. if its junk then tell me, been sitting in the closet for ALONG time. here is some pics... I have atleast 4 of the smaller speakers and 1 of the centers. I might have even more than the 4, i dont want to dig them all up just yet lol.

  7. Just recently acquired a pair of Klipsch Epic series CF-2's and a Klipsch SW-12. I am currently running the speakers off a yamaha rx 395. all circa 1995. The speakers sound amazing! They are able to get very loud and still play very clear. I love them. I cannot say the same for the sub. The sub was blown when I got it (got it all for free from pop). I am looking at putting in a new Dvc 4 ohm sub in it. I am not sure which I should go with. I was suggested a dcon or 187. The amp is 150 rms into 8 ohms The enclosure is a 12" bass reflex enclosure with 12" passive radiator. dimensions are 23.5" H x 15.625" W x 16.49" D. What sub would work best with this enclosure? Are the…

  8. So my fraternity wants me to build a sound system for our basement when we have parties. The basement can easily fit over 300 people. It is 4 appartment's basements that connect into one (I will post pictures when I get back from spring break). What they told me they want is "We want this to be as loud as humanly possible and incredibly bassy." I am not a pro audio kind of guy and do not know much about it. Is there anywhere I can find beginner information on how to have everything set up? This is going to be set up more like a club and I do not know where to find information on that. Anything will be helpful. Thanks, Chris

  9. First off let me start by saying i have no idea about anything when it comes to home audio.. i do know a lot about car audio though.. i don't know it that matters. The room is 10ft 1in x 10ft 6in x 10ft (ceiling) - its a entertainment room. My goal is to have something that sounds good when i Call Of Duty, watch Transformers and listen to Gucci Man. My budget is around 500 dollars. What i have in my head is some speakers in the corners of the ceiling, a sub woofer and speakers to put on stands and shit. - i dont know if thats an over-kill for what im trying to do or not.. the room is pretty small so i dont think it would take much.. Thanks for your time and if you need mo…

(Crosspost from the Daber Audio forum) Hey guys, I thought I’d drop a quick line and show you a project I was working on. This is my interpretation of a project I had found online and had found interesting. This is a pretty basic build, nothing too special. All of these pictures are from inside of my house since I needed my amp to make final crossver adjustments if needed. I sold my Thiel CS 2.2's to fund this build. The drivers are: 8” Hi-Vi M8N magnesium/aluminum driver woofer, 3” Dayton dome mid, and Hi-Vi RT-1C planar tweeter. http://www.daberaudio.com/projectimages/back%20of%20drivers.jpg The crossovers are not yet soldered, but you can see the individual boa…

Finances are here. Time to start ordering. PICS and VIDS to come! What is for sure: 2 Fi Audio IB3 18's, each in their own 128 cubic foot box (before displacement) with a 12" sonotube port 48" long ( to begin with, will cut down raising tuning over time) resulting in a 6.5Hz tune! Dual EP2500's or EP4000's. I am building from the floor up... scratch. I need a solid 7.1 receiver capable of more than 110 watts per channel. I plan on building MT's or MMT's designed by Kevin with Exodus Anarchy's. IDK about using a HP filter yet.. but I may go as high as 15Hz with the tune...I'll start low and have myself some fun and learn all the way up to 15Hz. I'd like some input on the…

Here it is boys and girls. My first post with pics. So I got these floorstanders back in 96. I was just out of high school, and had no clue. I wanted a home theater with bass. No better way of getting that then with big woofers, so with my pay check I did just that. I bought the biggest ones Montgomery Wards had, that I could afford. Long story short I was satisfied with my purchase. Fast forward a decade and a half. I'm out of my parents house in my own with a wife and kids. I look in my parents shed and look what I find, my old Jensens. I think to myself, these were the sh!t back then, let's hook them back up. I've got a new setup, all the latest and greatest. I hook th…

Hello, As the title says, I want some new speakers for my home audio system. I have a Marantz amp, with tuner included, it is rated at 2 x 70 w rms, I think so ! I have a set of Bose Acoustimass speakers, that can handle 2 x 100 w. I like how they sound, but I need to give them to my father because they're small and sound good. I want something good, of course, but not as expensive as the Bose. Just a bass box and 2 speakers. I listen to rap, reggae,...so...I need bass, I can just buy the sub and make the box. So, can you tell me what would you choose, and where to buy online, please?

Ok so so I just got my own house, move in tomarrow, but I need a killer HT. I have a Kenwood reciever, 2 mtx cabinets, maybe some other cabinets, and my 10" ssd that I just bought back yesterday. What I need to know is how can I porew the sub? What amp or power supply should I buy for it? I was thinking about building a Tline box for the sub. Will be for movies and PS3, but also lots and lots of music. I want a Nice clear sq setup, not so "bassy", but enough bass to hear and tell that it is there. I don't need a lot of power maybe 200-300 watts. This is first "real" HT project so I'm just lookin for some help. Thanks, Mikey

Hi all, I apologize for not being active in forever. I had to quit college to take care of my father with his aneurysm recovery, and now have a full time job with him, and another to get some cash. Life is busy. He is doing exceedingly well considering how bad his rupture was. ANYWAYS, I'm looking at picking up a decent turntable for my home theater. My Mom just told me she has numerous record from the 60's and 70's which I would like to listen to. I have NO knowledge of record players at all, so I'm hoping one of you with more experience could help me. I'm just looking at something to play the old vinyls. Budget under $200 preferable, and I have no problem buying…
