I finally got around to building the box for my Havoc 12's. The second one arrived last week, but I just hadn't had time to work on it. Here's a few pics of the box. It 4.3^3 @ 36hz w/ double front and rear baffles. -

using win isd (im a noob with it so im checking with all you) aa recommends a 2.2 cubic foot box tuned to 33 hz but some one on here recommends a tuning frequency of 29. i used 2.2 cubes for the net and tuned it to 29 hz and picked a slot port with a hight of 8 inches a width of 1inch and a lenght of 8.13 inches. external dimension are 28" L x 16" h x 12.5" d sub displacement and port displacement where include. the port seem really small but again i have no idea being my first ported box design. i have done several sealed but that very staight forward. -

I understand the purpose of this sub is to be a high powered brutal daily beat sub... I've been tryin to find some info on usage of this sub and have failed so i come to ask questions. What is the potential of this sub to be used for burps? Because of it's coil size, this is the main thing that has attracted me. I plan on using no less than 7kw to each driver for daily and up to 13kw for burps if i feel like it. So, what would my options be? Can a custom designed sub from Fi be better suited for my needs or can the S.M.D. sub actually conquer my vision and excel over many other subs out there for burps? -

Hi AA group, I am not sure about this matter so I decided to post it here for much better idea than assumptions. What will be louder 2 15" in sealed or 1 15" in ported, I'm listening mostly to house, trance, R & B, hiphop and love songs. Thanks. -

Hello everyone, well after sitting in the FI forum, I've gotten a good deal recently for the Ascendant audio line up, which I've heard is very similar to the fi q of which I originally wanted for less than that of a Q. Both subs are now pretty much the same price, Havocs being cheaper slightly. So I ask you all if any of you have heard the differences between the Q and the Havor in terms of sound. I've talked to a few people and Scott regarding the two subs, and from what I understand is this. The Havoc was made to handle more power out of the box compared to a Q with no BP option, they were made to handle more power so they should be able to handle a bit more abuse. … -

I've got a pair of 15" Avalanche subs. I want to build a box, but I don't know what size it needs to be. I'm undecided on whether I'll be using them in my home or my car. My car needs a little work, that's why I'm undecided. Anyways to the good stuff. I want to go ported for either application. For the car I'm guessing a tuning frequency of 32 to 35Hz. For the house I'm thinking 28Hz. I'm open to suggestions. For power I've got two TMA 1000.1 in the car. Oh, by the way the ride is an 86 Mustang GT hatchback, the rear seat isn't used so it's folded down flat. The subs would be wired to 1 ohm each, one sub per amp. In the house I've got a Behringer EP2500. The subs would be… -

I had to move the Vifa tweets up higher to get them more on axis, so I was stuck with a big hole in my new door pods. No way I was doing them again, so I came up with a pretty simple idea that looks pretty decent. More importantly the sound is WAY better now, which was the #1 goal. Pass side tweeter in it's new home. Whipped up some simple PVC angle mounts wrapped in gray carpet. $1.50 and about 30 minutes of time. Hard to make a large format tweeter look "good" in a car, but this will have to do. Close up of the driver's side panel. Fire up the "bat signal" and the caped crusader of midrange appears!!! Went with the blue theme to match my old eXcelon. Takes about 5 … -

I found this spot to experiment with Baffle building Baffle install Black paint Assasins installed Completed IB This setup consists of 4 12" Assasins, a parts express 1000 watt plate amp, and behringer feedback destroyer... It hits relatively hard and clean however my crappy drop ceilings vibrate uncontrollably which ruins it for me. I went with a different route with the assasins, 8 cubes sealed, sounds so much better to me. I can post pics of the sealed box if anyone wants to see. This is my basement, I'm gonna try another IB in the living room upstairs with some Mark I Brahma 12"s soon. -

I tried to get some answers out of AA about the difference between the two materials and never received a response. What I know so far is that AA will offer mids in a carbon cone as opposed to the original Poly cones. Can someone give me a better feel as to how these speakers will sound compared to the two different materials. As far as I know, the two are built the same but the material for the cone are different. I'm really on my last string with AA. Don't get me wrong, I love what they have done in the past. AA has been more than kind to me. Chad has done some wonderful things for me in the past. Updates and news about new and improved products have been terrible. I'… -
