alright i bought 4 assassins from a friend well old friend now lol. only got 3 of em and the run around when i tried gettin the last one. the box i had is falling apart to say the least and its time for a new one. was gonna get one from a shop and waited a month to find out if i have them make me one they want 190 bux. screw that the box was only gonna b like 2.4 cubes. ive tried a few of the box calculators and not having the best results and vents under 3 inches seems too small but ascendant doesnt give any rec on port area so i was hoping somebody could give me a hand. id like to slap it together today or tomorrow. its gonna house 3 of em on the front with the vent on …

So ive got 2 atlas 12s and they have that odd dvc setup (1 4 ohm coild and 1 2 ohm coil). i remember reading that u shouldnt wire the amp directly to the 2 ohm coil. what id like to know is, what are the various ways to wire up a pair of these subs. like what final ohm loads can i achieve and how do i wire them to achieve this. if u cant wire the 2 ohm coils by themselves, is it possible to wire them along with the 4 ohm coils? all this time ive only been wiring the subs at 2 ohms for 2 subs or 4 ohms for one sub just using the 4 ohm VC.

Well I'm really aching to get some new subs, well really a new entire set up but at the moment only subs. Currently I have a 12" cvr and I'm really dissapointed in it. It probably has to do a lot witht the enclosure but I really didnt feel like trying to make a new one for it. As always money plays a mojor role in my decisions and I"m kinda torn between (2) 12 Assassins and (1) 12 Q. I have really been wanting to buy the Q, but one of the things holding me back is the amp. Hey guys. New to the SSA forum. I've been doing a lot of research lately on getting a new sub. So far I have just bought the wire and cap. I will be buying a Fosgate T10001BD soon, so I'll have about 1200+ to 1600 watts to work with. I'm trying to choose a sub to put on my amp. I have a box built... 3.6 after all displacement, tuned to 29~31 (probably 30 by my math). I don't have the extra time or money to buy another box, and mdf is over an hour's drive away. I listen to rap. Jeezy, T.I., Three 6, 8ball & MJG, etc etc. I'm not worried about rock. I want a sub that can take 1400 watts daily easily and will hit good 28 to 40. In anyone's professional opinion, what port area would you recommend for 2 AAchaos 10's in a 5 cuft box running off 1 saz3000 at half ohm(or do you think this is too much for the amplifier?)? to be tuned to 33hz for street bass use. 5cuft is what i have available any recommendations?

Are you guys ever going to sell Ascendant Audio subs and speakers online like you do for Fi subs and speakers?

i currently have 2 15in havocs, thinking of gettin a 3rd. but im now looking at the mayhems and cant decide if its worth sellin the havocs and replacing them with the mayhems or just adding the 3rd 15. air space really isnt an issue, im using precision ports and for the amp im using the saz3500. thanks everyone.

I just hooked up my new havoc 18 to a behringer 2500. The sub is wired in series for a 4 ohm load. This is my first issue. The sub comes up at about 6 ohms when wired. this is not the 4 ohms that it should be. I realize it is never exact but 2 ohms off seems strange. When powering the sub, at what i would call moderate levels, there is a terrible banging noise that comes on certain notes. I'm afraid that this is the sub bottoming out. Who is administering the warranty for Ascendant audio? I realize that there is a merger with Ficaraudio. I wasn't sure if I should post the question here or at Ficaraudio's spot. Scott and I have exchanged a few e-mails as I have been trying to isolate my problem. He has been EXTREMLY helpful, especially considering how busy he must be. Now that I know which driver I'm having issues with and what part failed, I'm curious which vendor will help me and if the 3 year warranty is still valid. I've got my driver boxed up and ready to ship, just wondering where it'll end up. Carl

Hi all, I have an aa chaos 12 that i am wanting to put in a 4th order bandpass box. i want it to hit real low and just be a real street beater pretty much. i mainly listen to rap and dubstep, What do you guys reckon would be the best enclosure size? its going into a sedan and i plan to port it into the cabin. How many watts would u guys run to a pair...as they are rated for 250 rms, but i hear they are vastly underatted. And what size ported box...tuned low...34-30 hz. Probably around 3-3.25 cu ft. net sound good? ALso wats the sq on these puppies? Thanks Sham ps...sorry for the vague questions

i saw they had a 3in only 4 layer aluminum voice coil now alot have the 8 layer is this going to make a differnce in performance or anywhere. bc im am prob going to get one!
