I've been working on ideas for the next/new system in the trailblazer ext......gas has been killing me and almost all the shows this year in my area are far away - so - I've cut down on the shows i'll be attending to save up for next year and to get an early jump on the build... the new equipment will be: 4 x 15in AA Havocs (d2) 4 x Sundown SAZ-1500's (have 2) 4 x Kinetik 2400x's (have 2) Powemaster 220A Alternator The 15's will be walled behind the 2nd row seats - wont wall to the b-pillar until i can afford another vehicle :-) What do you guys think? So I've decided to try something different other than my TC 3K 15" in a sealed 2.5 ft^3 box and I'm looking at the Havoc. This is going in an '03 Maxima so I have about 3.5 ft^3 to work with since I still want to use some of my trunk. Sub will be powered by the SAZ-1500D I'm currently running. Would you recommend the 12" ported or the 15" sealed? I guess I could squeeze the 15" in there ported but I'd like to keep the box as small as possible. Looking for mainly a LSQ setup. Which would you choose and why?

Just wondering how much power you guys are putting to your Havoc's for daily pounding/bass race?? I've been throwing around a lot of different sub configurations/ideas for next year and am considering either 4 x 15in Havocs or 4 x 18's Havocs in a wall in my '04 Trailblazer EXT - I would be running a Sundown SAZ-1500 to each sub - think they would take that power ok?

Hey guys, Just wondering if anybody has gotten to test out the new SMD woofer. I was thinking of selling my current lvl 5 15" dc woofer and getting a SMD 15. As of right now my trunk is pressed for space and I cannot give the level 5 the room it needs. Well I can but then I run into other problems. Looking at the SMD 15" specs it looks like it recommends a 2-4 cuFt box. As of right now, my level 5 is in a 3.5cuFt box and I was told to rebuild it to at least a 4.5 cuFt box. Well I can split the difference and probably get louder with this new sub. Also, building a box the biggest recommended space makes it better in spl competitions (which I want to do really bad). I have a AA atlas 15 and was wondering if anyone could recone it to a 12? if so what would be the cost on everything, basket, cone, shipping? also would you just it a dvc sub or would it still have that odd smaller vc to change the qts?

well both of my avalanche (i think thats what they are) 12's are toast. been that way for about 3yrs, and im now looking for subs for my car and figured why not get these reconed. one is scratchy when pushing in and out and the other plays till you turn it up then it cuts out and throw amp in protect mode. same goes if its turned all the way down and you push the cone in. Also what are the specs for these subs? i bought them about 4yrs ago and the specs were pretty unknown to me. i pushed them with a 1000 watt kenwood and after i blew them i stepped up to a 1500x1 RMS HiFonics Brutus. i also ran them in a sealed enclosure and the Type R alpines that i replaced them with w…

Im really looking at getting a pair of these to run off my kx2500.1. I can't really find info on box specs though. Does 14-16cuft tuned to 30hz sound to be right.

whats the break in for aa arsenal 12 run a kenwood excelon kax x10d 600rms what is a proper breakin. didnt do it for my old kickers. this is only my second sub purchase..... i know u dont push it to hard. i assume u keep the gain down a bit for afew hours.

I have an avalanche 18 sitting in my basement unused for the last 8 years. I am going to try to install in my 2008 Buick lucerne of an orion 800@2. I know I can't go ported, but what size sealed would work. I think I can get around 5-6 cubic feet sealed and use poly fill to make up for the lack of size. I cannot find box sizes on any website so I am hoping I could get some help here. Would 5 to 6 cubic feet be enough or should I just find two fifteens instead?
