heres a short vid of my atlas 15 in the grand am, its running off a RE12.1 amp at 4ohms so around 350wrms. gets decently loud and trunk rattle is really bad. hopefully i can find someone with a camra so i can take longer vids since my memory card is full. 3dbNM31vSE4

what would happen to the sound if i put either a 12" assasin or arsenal, hell, even a atlas or avalanche in a 1.5 cu ft ported box instead of their recommended sizes?

HU :- Pioneer P99RS ( the setup is full active) Tweeters :- Illusion Audio Carbon Mids :- Compression Horns Illusion Audio CH-1 (old school stuff) Midbass :- Exodus Anarchy 6.5 Subs :- SMD 18 Inches Amp for tweets and mids :- Steg 4.01 Amp for Midbass :- Steg 2.02 Amp for Subs :- Audioque 3500.1 x 2 Batteries :- right now four 70 Ah, Will be adding more. Alternator :- Mechman 220 amps Enclosure is a 13.5 cuft with sub and port displacement deducted. The port area is 100 sq inch tuned at 28 hz !! as it a removable port will be trying more options. While we figured to have the sub ready to go by the end of Feb, we have ran into a couple of tooling and parts delays with the sub. Currently we are waiting for the latest material sample for the spider as well as a new lead with a completely different core and wrapping technique... not to mention that it appears that the spider spacing ring we tooled is MIA due to the injection molding company we are using in China seems to have gone under. This has put us in a bind for several other parts that we get through them as well and we are having some help in China in tracking down the tooling for these parts (shot in the dark). who thinks ascendant's amps will be good?

Got my new pair of Havocs in Monday. (thanks Scott) They won't be hooked up for a while as I'm waiting on a new amp replacing my HK4000, and a new box is in the works also. Old (left) vs New (right). The old proto Havoc will be going for sale soon, so keep your eyes out for that or PM me if you might be interested and I'll let you know when I plan on putting it up.

OK... Thinking about gettting an 18" Havoc. I have been through a few different setups but still the one i miis most and compare everything to is my HDC315 setup a had a while back. Pretty simple as it was right when i started getting into car audio more. It was an HDC315 in a 4.5ft^3 box tuned to 42hz. running on a Planet Audio VX2200D at 1ohm with NO electrical upgrades, no rear deck proting, no sound deadenging etc... hit just under a 143dB. I have had a few different subs since including Atomic APX15, RE XXX, MTX RFL, Execution 15" etc... but nothing i thought was comparable really to the HDC315 as far as just plain hurting your entire body and making you want …

I am considering a set of these to run in my front stage and have heard nothing but good about them, but haven't been able to find any specs. ESPECIALLY important is depth because i am working with limited room. If anyone know where i can get the specs or can post them up i would appreciate. thanks

Putting together a little system for my new car, i picked up the jbl gto601.1 amp(580x1@2ohm) and i would like a pair of D2 or S4 Assassin 10's if possible or would i be better off just going with a single Arsenal 12 or 15?

What subs would you guys recommend to run off my Rockford 2000?

i'm suprised the SMD V2 hasn't poped up on this forum yet. i know that most of us don't like the guy behind the name, but you still can't deny the sub itself and that it's Ascendants sub and not the idiots with the name on it. i would like to see some info on this thing and see some updates as they come. i wish they would rename it also, but i highly doubt that'll happen.

I know they are similar to SSD, but not the same. Need Parameters or recommended ported box, size, tuning. Listen to a lot of Metal and Reggae. Each sub only getting 500 watts in the trunk of a Grand Prix

:popcorn:Okay guys if I new I wouldn't ask. But I gave my own opion to my customer.Wich is better more durable. Handles power better I think the t2s are over rated but seems to be a pretty rugged sub. But I think the havocs will. Do just as good if not better. So could i please get some imput on this...........

I went to a local shop today to price some remote start security systems. I was looking at the Viper 5109. While looking at my truck the shop owner noticed my monster box with an 18 AA Mayhem. Without getting into a long story, he told me that the sub was no more than a true 500 rms sub (keeping in mind that he has never heard of AA) and said that his his two 12 inch Flame series Audiodahn subs powered by a Flame series amp would hit harder and be louder than the Mayhem ( silly silly man). He was so positive he would beat me that he said he would give me my alarm and install it for free if he wasnt.!!! Like I said THANKS AA !!! My alarm will be installed on Wed.!!
