I love those huge systems, but I'm not rolling in a SUV so I'll be limited to just one sub. Who here has just 1 12 or 15 havoc. How do you like it and what kind of numbers are you getting if you've ever been metered. How big is your box? thanks

On the old webpage it didn't recommend any box sizes for HT use. Does that mean the arsenal shouldn't be used for a HT sub. Can anyone give me any recommendations on a box size for the 12" version? I'm a noob when it comes to home theatre. Thanks!

id like to run 2 18 havocs sealed off a bxi 2610 and i have ~ 12 cft of space for the box. the reason i want to go sealed is the more flat response and stronger low end production. does 12 cft work well or is it too much / less.

What is the retail price on the havoc 18's the website does not have any prices.

I have a pair of old Atlas 12's left over from a previous install, and was toying around with the idea of putting them into a ported box. Has anyone run atlas's ported and can give me their thoughts on it? Also, what would be a good enclosure design for a ported box for them, thinking low tuned around 30hz or so.....

I've been working on ideas for the next/new system in the trailblazer ext......gas has been killing me and almost all the shows this year in my area are far away - so - I've cut down on the shows i'll be attending to save up for next year and to get an early jump on the build... the new equipment will be: 4 x 15in AA Havocs (d2) 4 x Sundown SAZ-1500's (have 2) 4 x Kinetik 2400x's (have 2) Powemaster 220A Alternator The 15's will be walled behind the 2nd row seats - wont wall to the b-pillar until i can afford another vehicle :-) What do you guys think? ive never heard of aa subs before till i heard the 8" assassins on youtube. i was impressed. i was wondering wat the 8's run for. and how good do they hold up? and where can i get sum if i decide that these r the ones. if i get 3 of them will a 1500.1 crunch amp power them pretty good. i looked em up and there rated at 250rms so i figured they can candle it. the one thing i like bout em is how low the sealed enclosure requirements r. thanks

hey, I have an old model 8" assassin s4, and my coil is shot, is there a recone available for this model from either Fi or AA? also looking for a TC-1000 8" recone, the cone broke around the edge of the surround, anyone have any idea what to do about this? thanks andar

well both of my avalanche (i think thats what they are) 12's are toast. been that way for about 3yrs, and im now looking for subs for my car and figured why not get these reconed. one is scratchy when pushing in and out and the other plays till you turn it up then it cuts out and throw amp in protect mode. same goes if its turned all the way down and you push the cone in. Also what are the specs for these subs? i bought them about 4yrs ago and the specs were pretty unknown to me. i pushed them with a 1000 watt kenwood and after i blew them i stepped up to a 1500x1 RMS HiFonics Brutus. i also ran them in a sealed enclosure and the Type R alpines that i replaced them with w…

I got an AA Arsenal as my first piece of good equipment last year. Hooked it up to an 1100d in a sealed box. Played and LOVED it. Until one day the output dropped considerably and i got out, the surround had torn 1/4 around the subs outer edge. I was upset, i blamed manufacterer error. I sent the sub in, Chad didn't beleive it was workmanship error. pulled the cone out and the coil was black. I was clipping the amp, very common mistake. although i was convinced i wasn't clipping, i sucked it up and accepted the truth. But despite my stupidity. Chad, being the superhero that he is sent me another sub. I couldnt be more thankful. I bot 2 12" assasins from him at that …

Can it handle 1500 rms? Trying to finalize my system and torn between a 1k and 1.5k amp.

I have... had a pair of the original Assassin 12's until my amp decided to burn. One driver went to hell and the speaker wires actually melted off the other. Surprisingly, the speaker wire saved the second driver, but the other is a paper weight. Is it cost effective to shoot for a recone, or would it almost be better to pick out a new pair of entry level subs? Thanks

EDIT: 15" assassin...ha ha. I feel stupid now. What volume am I looking for a sealed box for a 15" arsenal. Also, what volume/tuning for a ported box. I'm not going for boomy bass so much as controlled punchy bass. I don't want a small box with no range, but I also don't want a huge box. I want something in between that leans toward the small side. I would model it myself, but I can't find the specs as the site is down. Also, what amp in the ~$200 range would you recommend for this sub? Right now I have a MTX MXA8001 running 800@2. But I'm not sure that I like it.

Do the Arsenals come in a 2 ohm? On SSA's website they only show the 15s in a 4 ohm and i want to run two of them at 2ohms.
