I've been working on ideas for the next/new system in the trailblazer ext......gas has been killing me and almost all the shows this year in my area are far away - so - I've cut down on the shows i'll be attending to save up for next year and to get an early jump on the build... the new equipment will be: 4 x 15in AA Havocs (d2) 4 x Sundown SAZ-1500's (have 2) 4 x Kinetik 2400x's (have 2) Powemaster 220A Alternator The 15's will be walled behind the 2nd row seats - wont wall to the b-pillar until i can afford another vehicle :-) What do you guys think? I have a pair of old Atlas 12's left over from a previous install, and was toying around with the idea of putting them into a ported box. Has anyone run atlas's ported and can give me their thoughts on it? Also, what would be a good enclosure design for a ported box for them, thinking low tuned around 30hz or so.....

how much power does an 18 mayhem handle in the max 8 cft enclosure for daily bumping? i have two 2610s which i could link to 5,2 kw. BUT with voltage drop to 12,8 there will just be around 3,3 kw.

hey, I have an old model 8" assassin s4, and my coil is shot, is there a recone available for this model from either Fi or AA? also looking for a TC-1000 8" recone, the cone broke around the edge of the surround, anyone have any idea what to do about this? thanks andar

Hi, I've got an AA Avalanche 12 that I purchased about 4 years ago. Last year it started cutting in and out intermittently so I shelved it saying I'd deal with it later. I had it in a 1.25ft^3 sealed box on a 350W PG amp. I don't get any grinding noises when i push on the cone and see no physical damage. Can anyone tell me who I can get in contact with to possibly get this thing repaired, assuming it's cost effective? I really enjoyed the sub while it worked. When I bought it, I was looking for a low priced sub with XBL^2 ( used to have a Brahma) and this sub was perfect. I just read that AA is in the process of a merger and there really isn't a whole lot of info …

ive never heard of aa subs before till i heard the 8" assassins on youtube. i was impressed. i was wondering wat the 8's run for. and how good do they hold up? and where can i get sum if i decide that these r the ones. if i get 3 of them will a 1500.1 crunch amp power them pretty good. i looked em up and there rated at 250rms so i figured they can candle it. the one thing i like bout em is how low the sealed enclosure requirements r. thanks

i own 1 assassin and 1 arsensal. thankyou AA!!! that was as close as i will ever get to winning the lottery i was running the assassin for alittle while with about 500rms (2x rated rms. i know... my bad... sorry). but i havent heard it with its recommened power. i could tell it had alittle better sq compared to the arsenal but off course it was not as loud... anyways... and this is all hypothetical... would 2 12" assassins with about 250-300rms each be louder and have greater sq then one 12" arsenal with 600rms? i compared them in winISD and the 2 assassins win in spl. however that program isnt always right. i think my arsenal can hit almost as hard as my 3 old pos kicker…

Do the Arsenals come in a 2 ohm? On SSA's website they only show the 15s in a 4 ohm and i want to run two of them at 2ohms.

Can it handle 1500 rms? Trying to finalize my system and torn between a 1k and 1.5k amp.

EDIT: 15" assassin...ha ha. I feel stupid now. What volume am I looking for a sealed box for a 15" arsenal. Also, what volume/tuning for a ported box. I'm not going for boomy bass so much as controlled punchy bass. I don't want a small box with no range, but I also don't want a huge box. I want something in between that leans toward the small side. I would model it myself, but I can't find the specs as the site is down. Also, what amp in the ~$200 range would you recommend for this sub? Right now I have a MTX MXA8001 running 800@2. But I'm not sure that I like it.

whats the break in for aa arsenal 12 run a kenwood excelon kax x10d 600rms what is a proper breakin. didnt do it for my old kickers. this is only my second sub purchase..... i know u dont push it to hard. i assume u keep the gain down a bit for afew hours.
