  1. Hi guys, here is an attached pic of the box i'll be soon going to get made, Using .75" MDF and .5" mdf for inner port walls. The box shape will remain unchanged, took many hours to decide the slot port for this. And new suggestions opinions are welcome.

Keep any negative comments out please, unless they are constructive negative comments that might help me improve in future projects. I'd really appreciate that, thanks guys. Its a variation of a transmission line enclosure, designed to have alot better low end response than the big huge, low tuned ported box I had before. Don't bother trying to model it as a ported enclosure, because that is not what it is, and asking for Term Lab dash numbers is also pointless since this is a musical (TO THE EAR) box, and not designed to play loud on a PRESSURE sensor on the dashboard. I'll post response graphs once the other half is built and everything is installed. This is one half of…

So everyone is excited about what new subs are going to be coming out in the next few weeks. This is great and all and I'm very excited myself (chad can attest to this). I was wondering if any new smaller speakers will be added to the Arsenal (get it Arsenal). I really enjoy the POLY's that I have and was just wondering if any new speakers may be coming out along with the subs.

I am a dealer in Fort Smith Ar and im curious if anyone knows if ascendent has gone out of bussniness or just a shady bussiness. I have been tring to get my 6 subs back for 4 months now due to leads being to short on the assassin subs. At first they said they would not fix them, then said they would due to a manufacturing defect after further reveiw, but now they are not answering there phones, emails or returning calls from voicemails. If any one is having the same issues please post. This may put a spark under there butt. I've made this same post on Ascendants Facebook page to hopfully get a response and low and behold the post was deleted.....

well here's what i used to have, tuned to 35hz 3 cubes each sub. In the trunk of my stratus ran at 1.333 ohms on an orion 1200d hit 143db on the TL i then moved on to one 15" ava..don't remember the specs on the box and never had it metered, was tuned low as hell though, i was stoned on flu meds when i designed the box, thats why the internal volume was only about 2.5 cubes My last sub setup was two 12" avas in .7 cubes each sealed, forget what i metered with the box facing the trunk, i think it was 139 but i don't remember as it was my progression towards SQ. Even in the small(tiny?) sealed boxes these things had absolutely no trouble with 20hz so there's my pr…

Hi All I've got 2 Avalanche 15" drivers, both of which I recently got from shipped from the US. I also recieved the EP2500 I'm going to be driving them with just a few days back. Im eventually going to be installing an IB sub for HT, but for now I'm going to build dual enclosures. Yesterday I hooked each of them up without enclosure, (haven't build them yet!) just to make sure they work. one works fine, but the other makes a "tapping" or "clicking" sound as it moves. the sound is like the sound it would make if you put your finger close enough to the cone that it hit it every cycle. I checked to make sure that the surround and dustcap are well attached and not "flappin…

Well I want to let Scott and the rest of you know that one of my Havoc's is dead after over 150 hits in the last 2 months, since February of 2008, after 10 shows this year doing Bass Boxing and Bass Race, alot of demoing and having 4 SS 6500 on 16 12" and now having 4 CS 5KW's. So I most say I'm a little dissapointed on the product j/k It was funny because I was doing some testing and suddenly I smell coils and I never did before since having this subs in, so I though that they are finally getting some power and that's why they were smelling. Anyway I have to say that now I know this subs are real because when they were not breaking after all the pain I gave them and no…

I have been running my Avalanche 15 in an unfinished sonotube for many months on a low wattage amp. I have never been able to really crack it up, but hooked it up to a new Sony PA amp and tried it with sine waves from a computer with the amp turned up full. I noticed after a small while the centre of the cone on the speaker was warm and there was a smell starting to come from the port hole in the magnet. How is this possible just from 70 watts ??? I can verify it was about 70 watts as I measured the current and voltage which was 4.7 amps, 14.2 volts with load applied. It would be great if someone could make sense of this.

I am looking for a monster sub. either FI audio or Ascendant audio. I know they are in the same family but they make great subs. I am chasing a great sounding sub that can still achieve good numbers on the meter. My choices are the Mayhem or the SP4 What do you think about these subs based on my goals? Please only those that have experience with each.

I recently got 2 of the new Havocs with the solid pole and improved cooling, and I must say these subs are AWESOME. I've owned the older model havocs before (2008) and these are much better! Each is powered by a RF T1500-1bdcp (1800+ rms) and they seem like they need more...LOL. Box is 11.85 after displacements tuned to 29hz. No vids yet be will have some soon

  22. I went to a local shop today to price some remote start security systems. I was looking at the Viper 5109. While looking at my truck the shop owner noticed my monster box with an 18 AA Mayhem. Without getting into a long story, he told me that the sub was no more than a true 500 rms sub (keeping in mind that he has never heard of AA) and said that his his two 12 inch Flame series Audiodahn subs powered by a Flame series amp would hit harder and be louder than the Mayhem ( silly silly man). He was so positive he would beat me that he said he would give me my alarm and install it for free if he wasnt.!!! Like I said THANKS AA !!! My alarm will be installed on Wed.!!

I know the arsenals are finally up on the shop's page, but they are still missing the specs. I read they are rated at 500 wrms, but what is the suggested max for them. Also, I may have missed it in another post, but I don't remember seeing what their mounting depth is for the 10 and 12. I'm hoping that its 6.5" or less, I'd like to have another AA sub back in my Sonoma by the fall.

I have 4 atlas 12's that i am putting in my living room in 2 seperate sealed boxes. Wiring a pair together what would my final imp. be? I'm going to use a pro amp that puts out max power at 2 ohms but still cranks out the juice at 4 ohm as well. I'm kinda lost with this 4/2 ohm coil configuration. I also would like know what size box would be right too. I know there is a low, mid and high qts settings, does that relate to the 2 ohm coil being open, shorted or adding a resistor? If i shorted the 2 ohm coils and wired the 4 ohm coils in parallel would i achieve a four ohm load using two subs? If i did this to the other 2 subs and then parelleled them together as four would …
