Well, I just finished the build for my 15" Havoc. It's 2.6 cubes sealed. I am giving it 1.2kw RMS @ 1 ohm via Cadence ZRS7000D. The car is a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T. I listen to a good mix of rap, rock, and some dnb and other electronica. The sealed box is not providing enough low end for me, so I'm going to build a ported set-up for it. Does anyone have recommendations on what volume and what to tune the port to for my listening tastes? I am capable of building a slot-port box myself. Also, volume is not really an issue, but I'd like to keep it at or under 5 cubes. Thanks.

Ok guys I just had to see what the subs sounded like in the box until the plexiglas with the AA logo inlay comes in from toolmaker and the LED's to arrive. They are in a 2009 Ford Escape an you can see from the picks the system consists of 2-15" D2 Ascendant Audio Mayhem's a Sundown Audio 3500d Running @.5ohm with a set of toolmaker dual inputs , 2 Kinetik HC2400's a optima redtop battery up front, had a second one but it died on me. The deck is a Alpine IVA-W205 and a Aura 4200 amp running 2 sets of 5.25" Kenwood components. I have a 270 amp Mechman alternator that I have to put back in but for now the stereo is running off of the factory 150 amp alt and all 1/0 knukonce…

Here are the stats Powered by a Sundown SAZ-1500d Ported: 2.0 cu ft tuned to 33 hz metered at 140.4db, TL in the kicks. Sealed: .85 cu ft, no stuffing - haven't had a chance to mesure yet. Started out with the ported box. Here is my initial review http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...mp;#entry408101 The Havoc does it all! Lots of output, razor sharp SQ, looks good, doesn't cost 4 figures, and is very reliable. But I've always felt that the 2 cu ft ported box was a little big and put a little too much emphasis on the low end. The sub will get low, the question you should ask is how much do I need from 65hz+. Now, going with a sealed box. I like it much better …

Im one of those guys who can look over some t/s specs and not know what the hell im lookin at lol.. Basically AA is new to me, i went straight for the Fi BTL, but ive been seeing these for sale locally lately (craigslist) and im curious.. For the most part i need to know what each sub is good for.. as in SPL, SQ.. Ive been eyeballin these 2 havoc 12's but dont really want to buy them knowing nothing about them.. AA is a good name, that im sure of. just need more details, if someone could point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it. At the very least someone who knows the havoc series please fill me in.

I don't know if you guys lost the paypal invoice that I paid for the two XT25 tweet replacements or not. Lemme know where you stand; I sent an email to the contact email I had that now comes back with permanent fatal errors. I replied to the paypal invoice email with no response. I sent a pm to you here with no response yet. At least let me know you're working on it. I'd rather have the gear than file a paypal claim. thanks, doug blohm

Wanting to put a 18" sub in car. I've run into a 18" mayham, but trunk not big enough for the required space to perform. Any inputs on what amp would push this sub, I read the rms is 1250. Trying to finally complete my system.

I have a bit of a dilemma. I am moving my sub system to a center console to free up some room under my ext cab Sierra (baby stuff going underneath). I currently have 2 10" under the back seat powered by Zed Mini's. I really like what I'm getting out of them. I've even used just one 10" before and still liked the power. I wanted to make a center console to fit my substage. I can either go 1 10"Arsenal or 2 8" assassins (1st gen). Either will go in a sealed box. I'm not looking for the loudest, just quality. I have not powered up the assassins ever, but hear great things about them. The substage will be run off a Zed Minilith. Any opinions on the two choices. Thanks!!

I was just curious what sizes do the sets come in 5.25in, 6.5in. 7 in, 8 in, etc? Also is there a passive crossover included or do i need to build one myself? (I'll probably be running active but just want to make sure at first). Also, what are the tweeters? The last time i remember they were Morel, and from the other comp sets i've seen they look like Morel tweeters. Thanks, Julian.

Ive seen a few people recommend 1.5-2cu for a sealed Havoc 12. The recommended on the AA site says .6-1.2, and to get QTC of 7 would be .45. Why are larger sizes recomended? I have a .75cu box that Ive been using with an RE SR already, and wondering if I should use it, or get a different one. After displacement that would be under .6, less then AA recomended. Or do they recomend the size factoring in displacement already? When figuring QTC and F3, do you factor in sub displacement first? Not going to have much power, 400-600w at most.

Well, it has been almost 1 year since the new line of subs and speakers were suppose to be released, and it has been only a few months since the subs have been on the market and the website has not been updated since about December 2006. Most threads on the forum have been directed to Fi to resolve problems, concerns, or questions. As an AA fan I would like to know what the future holds for AA. Will the company remain or melt into Fi. I'm not upset, just curious as to what Chad and the rest of the company has planned. More to come.........
