I posted here since I figured more than one person probably has a blown one so I may help answer for the next guy . anyway, my buddy blew his assasin 10" and I was wondering if we could get a recone kit instead of ship the sub in? don't think the sub is worth that much lol

ok i am a big time noob to box's, but i do know ported is more spl and sealed is LSQ. For a BL you need to go ported. But for a ported box which would be the loudest out of the 4 combinations, small box small port, big box small port, small box big port, smal box small port? all i am concerned about is spl/loudness. (it is for a 15 BL.) thx.

Hey guys I have a couple of questions on the 12 Q's :] And this would be my first set up.(I'm a noob) Are this good SQ speakers with good bump to them? What Sundown amp would be good for this? Or if possible what other amps would be good? I was lookin at the Mmats amps.(I heard there really good) Also would the speakers sound diferent if I order them with BP power? I would be getting both for 518 without BP power wich is a really nice price. Also my box would not be that big for this speakers since I have a toyota celica st but I have a friend in florida that makes custom boxes and he told me that if the enclosure is made good like dimensions, tunning etc it will sound go…

It's been a long time since I've been back to the FI forums. Good thing the registration only took all of 2 minutes to complete. I like the new layout too. Ok, first I'll describe what's in my 2004 Mustang: 1) Prototype 12" BTL standard (in a ported custom fiberglass enclosure 32hz) 2) Reconed 12" RE HC (I swap these out every 2 months maybe because I do get picky with sound quality sometimes) 3) RF P800.2 4) and pair of JL 5.25" coaxials on a small 60rms mtx amp Also just got some thick Kicker 1/0 gauge wire which I will be upgrading from 4gauge wire. After the rewiring, I'll be upgrading the amp to possibly the T20001bd or similar output amp. I will post up the pictures…

if you are going to use 2 10" FI subs in 1 box with 1 port does the port still use 16 sq in per cf? or does it double to 32 sq in? what would be optimal for 2 10" BL's Also would 2 10" BL's @ 1500 rms each be louder than 1 10" BTL @ 3000 rms? Thank you! i am trying to get my research done before i purchase.

I'm a competitor in MECA at my state finals I managed to reach 154.4 at the headrest using two 15 in btls and using 2 American bass 500.1s. I can only give high praises to the newer style BTLs It took a little tweeking to get them there but with any new setup it takes work to get it loud. After about 75 burps I have on the subs with about 7500 watts to the pair these subs are still like new no signs of wear

So i built a box and everything was lookign good. I ordered two 3" port tubes. I tried to put the box in my car without the face board on and it fit. However with the front board on it did not. I had to therefore inset the board changing the demensions of the box a bit. The box demensions are now 25.5 X 17 X 16.75. How long do my 3 inch port tubes need to be to achieve a tuning of 33hz. The woofer i have is the 15Q so displacement is .19 cubic feet. Thanks for the help.

  19. Just wanna say thanks and great build on my fully loaded 15" BTL. Everything looks great and top notch. Shipping was fast, packaging was great and I think it goes without saying the sub is awesome. Did you just recently start putting the little black felt pads on the bottom of the cone for the tinsel slap? Thanks again for the service and the sub.

First the system: Right now I plan on doing 2 12's ported or 2 10's ported, Q's of course. 2k watts total. I will be running lots of mids and highs for "look" purposes as I am hoping to compete in shows, so I imagine around 1k watts, depending on stuff. I have a 160 amp alt and the stock battery is a 730 ampere battery. I already plan on doing big 3. I will probably throw in an extra battery as well. Will I need a bigger alt or will a 160 amp alt work? I know it brings a lot of other factors in. My amps are more than likely gonna be RF amps cause I can get a little deal on them. Any other suggestions or ideas to ensure I have adequate power would be great.…

  22. I paid for my RE XXX to be reconed and then the 47 dollar return shipping fee for the XXX, and my UPS tracking number says it will get to your place tommorow. But I was emailed a UPS shipping notification from you guys yesterday saying you shipped me something. I am assuming you shipped me the recone kit accidentally. I emailed you guys a copy of this email with my full name as well. Please let me know what is going on, thanks!

I have a sundown 1500 that I will be getting soon, but I am trying to decide if I should go with the Sundown and a 15" BL fully loaded or if I should buy 1 10" BL fully loaded and wait probably 8 months for another sundown and BL 10". So can anyone tell me what the 10" BL sounds like, i have never heard a 1700 Watt 10" sub before...
