Like it says up there, Ive always like the RE SX type dust cap/cone because it so seamless and seckserific. Just wondering if Fi plans on doing that and how many other people on here would like that option?

It's been a long time since I've been back to the FI forums. Good thing the registration only took all of 2 minutes to complete. I like the new layout too. Ok, first I'll describe what's in my 2004 Mustang: 1) Prototype 12" BTL standard (in a ported custom fiberglass enclosure 32hz) 2) Reconed 12" RE HC (I swap these out every 2 months maybe because I do get picky with sound quality sometimes) 3) RF P800.2 4) and pair of JL 5.25" coaxials on a small 60rms mtx amp Also just got some thick Kicker 1/0 gauge wire which I will be upgrading from 4gauge wire. After the rewiring, I'll be upgrading the amp to possibly the T20001bd or similar output amp. I will post up the pictures…

It's 3 cuft tuned @ 33 hz and it's going in a 2001 Dodge Durango. I'm getting the plexi etched at my laser shop and it should slam. This is my first install w/ Fi products and let's hope it's not my last.

Ok i was building fiberglass console for my 12" BL to be run off saz-1500d. Now I havent even taken anything out of box or used any of it yet, and probably trading vehicles this weekend. Now I will be putting stuff in 97 expedtion. My sub is BL 12" with most options except spl and flatwind. I have plenty of room for whatever in this vehicle, so i will probably sale the 12" BL. If i wanted to run some 18" Q's, how would 1 saz1500d run both of them, or should I just get 2 BL 18s with 2 saz1500ds? If i didnt already have my amp, i would just buy 3000d. I have kinetik 1400 to go up front and 1 2000 kinetik now for the back. Let me know any other suggestions also. thanks

Hello all, Just wanted to take the time to thank everyone here for indirectly helping me choose my sub. I say indirectly because I haven't posted any questions, rather just took some time to look at everyone elses threads to find a listening style similar to mine. I ordered a 12" Q dual2 last wednesday and I got an e-mail saying that it will ship today.....can't wait! I already built a sealed box for it at around 1.3 cu.ft. I'll see how that sounds at first but have plenty of MDF left over if the need for a new enclosure arises. I will be powering it with a RF T5001bd. It's rated at 500w but the actual rating from the birth sheet is 985w so it should be fine. The insta…

I can't get a stright answer. I am tried of getting different stories every time regarding replacing my RE subs. I was told by David, formerly at RE audio, that in June all productions of US assembled products stopped and that the factory shut down. All, Re audio products are now made in China and even sub assembly of SX and MT in the USA has stopped. I have been tiring to see what is going on with my subs. One day, I talk to someone, the next day they are gone and some else says they will help, now a girl that has no ideas what is up, is making things worse. I called a few of the shops listed on the RE audio web site but manny no longer carry the brand. One shop says th…

Recently I purchased two 12 inch ssds from Fi car audio. I was looking for something loud yet retain good sound quality. I first built a box which is 4.5 cubes tuned to 33 hz. I have them hooked up at 1 ohm to a US amps Md2. At first i thought the low end was lacking so i contacted scott and told him and he told me about the copper coils vs the aluminum coils. Well the copper coils made that much of a differnce because i love these subs. They play the lows nicely and get loud. The sound quality could be better. But being that im a bass head it doesnt bother me at all. Compared to a sx which everyone wants to compare them to. I would say they are alike except more musical …

Alright plan on re-building the box and I may try this. Remember my trunk is extremely sealed off, I have computers and what not all on behind the rear seat and with the panel off it doesn't let much air intot he car. Anyways, I want to face the subs the same way, towards the back and have the port facing up and into the car. It would be built so the port goes directly into the rear deck. How you guys think that will work?

Couple quick and dumb questions. This is my first SQ vehicle and I am not sure about a couple things. I know I will be going with Q's, keep hearin these things are amazin. For SQ, what is better, sealed or ported. I was thinkin about maybe 2 12's or 4 10's. any input is good though. I want something that can possibly give me the opportunity for little competitions.

Some of you might've seen my scores before. I have 2 12 BTLs in a 4.2 cube box tuned to 33 hz. I'm running the AQ 3500.1. My burp score is currently at 142.7 (2 batts) at 38 hz in my 02 Camry. The score seems alright for a trunk car, especially at that frequency. Well I clamped my amp, car was on this time with 3 batts. My rise is from 1.0 ohms to 4.5 ohms and I only clamped a little over 1,000 watts out of my amp. So for my 142.7 run, it's probably a safe guess to say it was only around 800-900 watts. In conclusion, I'm more satisfied with my score now seeing on how little power I'm using. Sucks that my rise is so bad.. But.. GO BTLs!

Also which sub would be best to get for an overall better sub? The fully loaded BTL18 or the RE MX18? the mx looks mean but both seem like good subs.
