I bought two 12 Fi Q subs about 4 months ago and I haven't had anything but good things to say about them. Everyone who gets a listen smiles instantly and asks me all about them. So the reason for me wanting new subs? None really, just getting a new car so I figure now would be the time to get the louder audio setup. I actually got into an accident not to long ago in my Lincoln LS and it seems to be totaled so I should be going to pickup my Audi S4 sometime this week. Anyhow, right now I have two Fi Q's in a sealed enclosure powered by a sundown 1500d. It gets pretty loud, but theres always room to get louder I haven't actually seen the trunk size of the S4 in pers…

I am looking to send in a RE HC motor that I just purchased. I have talked to Scott several times about this before and I just wanted to give him a heads up that the motor is on its way to him and should arrive by the end of the week. Hopefully I can talk to him prior to it being delivered..

I know more about the cutting. that is fine. But say I want to do a massive wall. how do I account for flex between the bed and the cab. I would bring it into the cab just an inch and baffle it inside the cab. will it be ok or will there be too much flex.This will be a FULL cut through. window and all. I hear the boot the fits between the cab and bed/shell is EXPENSIVE. how much are we talking? just an est. 200? or 1000?

I hate to start a post like this. I have already emailed you regarding my order. I ordered an fi btl 18in. and i got the dual2. I need it changed to the dual1 considering the amps i picked up only do full power a 2ohms. Once again sorry for the hassle, but i figured since it hasnt started being made it shouldnt be to big of a deal.

Alright, I have 2 Fi X12's in a prefab ported box right now. they sound alright but not great. Either I put ~$200 into a box for them or I save up and buy a Q15 and a box(~$300+$200). my question: how much better will the Q sound than two 12X's? is it worth waiting to save up for the Q and the extra $300. I have always prefered sealed systems. They always got loud enough, and were easy to build. I just got a D2 Cu voice coil SSD for the wifes car. I have it in a 1.3cuft net box. Approx 1000w available, but its not all being utilized. I feel like I am pushing the sub to its limits, but it's not as loud as it should be. The install is only 2 days old...will SSD's get louder as they break in, like other woofers? I know the alum coil can handle more power, and is peakier....but will it be louder? I think the next step will be a ported box.

Ok guys. The time is coming up fast to kick off my build. However, I had a few last minute worries (still designing a box) and was curious. I am still debating if I wanna build a box so I can slide it between the wheel wells for real quick sub "fixes" if I must, but am still not sure, what do you think? I want to compete in SPL comps, so I wanna make sure I do this right, lol. How much of a difference would I notice if I went with 2 15" BTLs over 4 12" BLs? With 2 15's the box would just be soooo much easier to design, and I think I am worried about fudging something with the 4 12's. sigh, I need a little help plz, guidance, anything.

do the recones on the btl come with woven tinsels?

Some of you might've seen my scores before. I have 2 12 BTLs in a 4.2 cube box tuned to 33 hz. I'm running the AQ 3500.1. My burp score is currently at 142.7 (2 batts) at 38 hz in my 02 Camry. The score seems alright for a trunk car, especially at that frequency. Well I clamped my amp, car was on this time with 3 batts. My rise is from 1.0 ohms to 4.5 ohms and I only clamped a little over 1,000 watts out of my amp. So for my 142.7 run, it's probably a safe guess to say it was only around 800-900 watts. In conclusion, I'm more satisfied with my score now seeing on how little power I'm using. Sucks that my rise is so bad.. But.. GO BTLs!

I bought 2 fi bl 12s on feb 20 and still still never receive them. Just was wondering how long suppose to take? By the way i live in hawaii if that make any difference.

well the first comp of the year is happening up hear in ut. and just looking for some tips. I was also wondering about buiding another box for a BTL18 with only the cooling opt. If I was to do this then it would be a crx style and the dementions would be 36X22X28 and would need help with the port to get it tuned to 36hz. the box I have now is 36x33x18 tuned to 32hz. any input would be great thanks guys. Also this is being pwered by a exile 2400.1 this is still in the 72' bug hope to have the 200amp alt by then MC

had some little problem, scott and paul got everything fixed so fast it was unreal. you could not asked for a better company and for someone to stand behind his product like scott does thank you, scott did not know me at the time and i bought my subs used not from fi when i was playing my subs before i went up and paul saw something wrong he started working on it

Sent scott an email, but I understand he is super busy so I figured I would post up a topic here too. Ok I have a RE MT motor, that I need a recone for. Need everything but the dustcap, (recone, gasket, and a 12" basket). I really need this recone by next friday ( a week from this friday). What is the usual turn around time for a sending a recone out? And also I left out in my eMail I would also like a 2nd day air quote for shipping, because the sooner I get the softparts the better . shipping would be to 71052. Thanks again.

Have a show coming up next week and at the moment I have a DE3000 powering two BL 18's fully loaded. I was wondering as I have another DE3000 lying around would the BL's be ok with taking 3.5k each for just a day (providing everything is set up correctly and I don't play them like a A hole) ??? BTL's are coming soon but was just curious if I should do this or not.

I wanted to know if you could send me the pdf of the Fi sticker so I could have them made to put on my windows in my van. I am new to Fi but from what I understand had something to do with RE. I wanted RE and a friend told me about Fi and I must admit the price is a lot cheaper. I want to know if you have a 5X Fi shirt available. I want to be in full effect when I make my debut again in my town. I am hoping Fi will lead me to victory. I am puttting a lot of time in making everything go together right.
