Hey I know this is kind of a dumb question, but I dont know whether Fi is pronounced as the two letters F.I. or just or just as one word Fi. Which one is it?

Sup everyone? Im a newbie here and need some help setting up a new system. I currently have a power acoustic ov1-5500d pushing 4-kenwood kfc-w3012 in a expedition. I just bought a 02' lincoln LS and would like 2 Fi subs and new amp and im looking to spend around 800. Im looking for a LOUDDDD set up with somewhat good sound quality. any advice?

I have been a fan of Fi for a while now and want to put a system in my 07 corvette. I will have enough room in the hatch for 2 12" subs but I am unsure of which ones to buy. I will listen to hip-hop and rap music. I will dynamat the entire car also before the install. I want the bass to be louder than piss, yet still maintain the highest level of cleanliness. I dont like bass that gets distorted when it is turned up. Which would be the best sub to go with? I guess this could also mean, if i get the BTLs can they be tuned to be super clear and very responsive. Just got the new Fi BTL n2 18", opened it up, its a 18" and its an N2 I know, but looking at my old one which I got in March 2011, this one only has 3 circular holes for "cooling". My old one has 12 square openings for the cooling. The basket is also a bit different I believe, Can somebody help me out? Im just wondering if this BTL n2 has cooling or not. Thank you. I currently have a pair of Q's each running off 1500 watts. I wanted to do a sound quality setup but now im wishing I would have gone with the BLs because all i really wanted to do is get loud. is there any way i can exchange my pair of Qs for a pair of BLs. Thanks Keith

I noticed my sub isnt working at all. I thought there was a problem with my amp, or maybe the speaker wire came off inside the box. So as i checked all the aforementioned things, i pressed down on the cone and got a little burp of bass, but nothing else constant. Did i blow my sub? Is there any way to determine whats wrong? Any solution as to fix it?

I have a 2008 honda Civic EX-L with premium sound upgrade and it has a IB setup with an 8" woofer and it needs some help. Now I know Fi has done IB 18 &15 but can yall build be a very efficeint IB 8"? to replace my current stock 8"? thanks P.S. Okay so, I'm ordering my BTL 18" friday and wondering if this is what I should go with, I'm going to be using a SAZ-3000 everything electrical wise is hefty due to my old system. Sold my Current system this pas week, along with a old fender amp, and cashed in some savings bonds, brought me out to 1124$ I have spent about an hour to 2 hours picking out what I'm gonna get and I've pretty much narrowed it down after looking over multiple options and I've finally got it down pat! i just recently bought 2 BLs and got them installed last friday and only 2 days after having them one of them blew. i couldnt tell u how bcuz i wasnt playing them near loud enough. i tried blaming the store that installed them bcuz they did such a sh***y job lol. do i send an email to [email protected] to report this and send it back to them?

Hello, I am a daily driver moving on from my Kicker 15 L7 in a ported 3.5 ft box in my 94 s10 blazer powered by a 1000 watt hi fonics amp and wanting something that gets loud yet sound alot better than the L7. I've been thinking of a sealed 15 Q with a kicker zx 1000.1. sealed because i dont only listen to rap, but it really annoyed me when my ported box missed notes that my friends subs hit. i wanted to spend in the $300-350 tops for my sub(s). I don't know if this has been talked about on here or not, so I apologize in advance if it has. I was doing a little research on what sub(s) I would like to put in my new car. I was thinking about going with a SSD and when I got on the fi site I saw that it says neo ssd's coming soon or something along those lines. I'm pretty interested, so I figured I'd post here to find out more about it. Besides weight, will switching to neo magnets change the ssd's performance much?(if so how?) Do you guys have an idea when it will be available for purchase? And lastly how will the change effect pricing?

Hey there Scott or Nick. Today My 12" BTL that I purchased in late April started to smoke today. I have the subwoofer in a ported box around 3cuft to a Crunch GP3000D Pro. I was driving today and out of no where my subwoofer started to cut out and I thought that it was probably a wire coming loose or something so i just turned it down. Then I smell this awful burning smell and look back and the back seat of my car is being filled with a whitish smoke. I am assuming that somehow the voice coils burnt up. What would I need to do to have this fixed? A recone? And what does the FI warranty cover because I wasnt really pushing the subwoofer as hard as it could go. It was about…

ok guys im in houston and need a custom box. got a f150 single cab and have a 12 bl. specs say at least 1.8cuft. went to frys electronics and those idiots wanted to charge me 450 for a ported wedged box. thats a ridiculous amount of money. and then they have never heard of Fi car audio. so i was like man i need to leave this place. if ur in houston and know of a place where i can get a good ported box please let me know. really wanna start bumpin by beggining of summer

I Have looked on the Fi site and will be using 2 12" BL in a corvette run by a kicker zx2500.1. I was wondering if anyone has put them in a sealed box. I know there are no specs because it is not reccommended, but would it hurt the sub to be in a fiberglass enclosure with the correct airspace?

i have finally landed on fi as my sub. now i want (2) 18's and i am working with about 10-12cubes in my trunk. they will be powered with a zx2500 and ample electrical. i want to try a new sub so this is what my infatuation with 18's is. i dont think that the bl's would satify me but have also heard that powering 2 btl's with only 2700 watts would be a waste. i want to get the most bass possible from my setup with what i have and want. what would be the best suited sub for me considering that i want 18's?

Well here is a finished pic of my wall setup in my Civic. Worked out alot better than I expected. I love FI and rep them everywhere I go. They sound awesome. Have a couple of pics and a short video of Young Jeezy. Notice the windshield wiper jumping off the windshield. Keep in mind this is powered by a American Bass VFL 150.1...@ .7 ohms. Daily...
