Ight so my sub comes tommorow im excited! but one problem i havent got a box! got my amp but no box. any one have en good suggestions. i have a 1997 honda accord 4door. nice size trunk. its going to be a daily sub but i want it to be loud. anyone know any good demensions for a sedan?? email me [email protected] thanks

i entered my first ever bass race comp with my new system. loaded 15" BTL on an MA Audio hk4000d in a 4 cubes box tuned to 34hz playing "air forces". i qualified with a 139.8 in the 130-139.9 class. i went over the 140 mark and hit 141 for a bit, but had to drop it down to avoid getting put in the 140 class. however, i got eliminated in the first round by someone with a lot more experience, i only lost by .2 db's because i was at 139.9 with a few seconds left and had to drop it down fast so not to break over the 140 mark and risk getting DQ'd. i ended with a 139.6. sad thing is that i had the guy beat the entire time until the last few seconds. there is another comp comi…

If you read my other posts, you pretty much know what I want. I am doing a blowthrough in the bed of my truck. To save some room, I am debating on doing either 2 15" BTL's or 4 12" subs. I know no matter what I do I am gonna need an upgrade electrical wise. I have already decided on a 300 amp alt no matter what I do (wanting to be extra safe) and big 3. Here is where the question kicks in. If I do 4 12" BTL's, how much more ($$$$ wise) would this costs in upgrades (batteries, etc) than if I did say 4 12" Q's/BL's or 2 15" BTL's???? This kid claimed to do 139.9db which I don't mind...he was running 2 12" MTX 5500 subs, with a kenwood amp. Next thing I noticed is that he had a sticker on his back glass that says "135db+ at the head rest". I was like why dont you meter it at the dash, he was like if I do that I will hit 145db, and when I do the db comp I dont burp because it would kill the competition. Thats what he told me.... Those subs was in a pre-fab box probably 1cuft per sub ported.... I just realized I ordered the extreme leads for my BL 18's that are intended for daily/bassrace, I ordered the subs about 2 days ago. Is it too late to get rid of the extreme leads, or is it not really going ot be an issue? PLEASE HELP. If there is somebody I can contact by phone please pm me with the info. Thanks.

This will be going in the bed of a truck and using a blowthrough. After much consideration, I decided to downgrade my system a little, well, halve it to the above. All 3 will be in a ported enclosure obviously. I listen to everything, but mainly rap and love some good SPL. SO, what would you do and if you want, why...... Would go with 4 15's all around, but dont wanna lose my entire bed of the truck. 4 12's can fit straight across with ports on the top.

is Fi planning on releasing any new subs or any new options? just wanna know if i should wait a lil bit for something new to come out or is it safe to say nothing new will be out for a little while so i wont feel all sick when i order my sub and something new comes out

I am having the hardest time deciding on a sub/amp combo for my new car. I am putting this in a trunk so space is a factor. I'd like to retain some space. The poll lists some of my top choices. I'm also considering porting a Q 15 with one of the amps listed or even porting the SSDs if I decide I can live without a little less trunk space. So my question to you would be if you were looking for LSQ, which of these setups would you choose? If you would do something else, please tell me what that would be. Just FYI, the electrical you would be working with is a stock electrical featuring a 130 amp alternator.

I do not think I have room for a ported box, the design for the box yields a little over two cubic feet. So basically I just need help on what subs to buy. I have been seriously looking into getting a pair of Q 15s for the last few months but a few things have come up with the family that has side tracked me but Im on point now. I know this is a car audio forum so please excuse the HT question. I tried to get an answer out on the main forum but I wasn't getting any responses. I've heard great things about Fi and want to get a pair of 18s for my HT setup. I was told over on the Cult that some tweaks can be made to make the drivers IB friendly. So, the question I have is, what diffence could I expect between the SSD series and the Q series? I expect it to be loud, but I'm looking to hit the bottom octave with some authority. Opinions?
